Just thought i would update this thread, as the death rate of closed cases is no longer at 21% globally, the death rate is now 10% of closed cases.
Those numbers are way too high. The death rate should be based upon the total numbers infected, not just the total numbers of confirmed cases. But even there there is quite a bit of variance -- between 0.1% to 2% of confirmed cases.

"The CDC also says its “best estimate” is that 0.4% of people who show symptoms and have Covid-19 will die"
CDC Estimates That 35% Of People With Coronavirus Don't Have Symptoms

Summary...
  1. Covid19 was not the threat the world was told it would be.
  2. It was not in the class of pandemic.
  3. Anyone with the minimum level of natural immunity survived.
  4. Many who on their death certificates were noted as having died of coronavirus actually died because they were smokers and had weak lungs... Had diabetes or asthma or other respiratory illness that gave up the ghost when confronted by the first virus they came across. They would have died if they had common influenza.
I have no statistics to corroborate the above. Just observation and common sense. Oh, and a deep abiding loathsome distrust of officials who despite reality continued to scaremonger and impose draconian restrictions destroying freedoms and contravening every human right in the process. And of course when all this is over, those same officials will without any doubt take credit for the victory over the worst enemy since the black plague and will dutifully fall over themselves convincing a gullible public that they are so grateful for the cooperation of communities all over the world who together got through this.
Yeah, right.

And looking at the graphs recently it would appear, daily new confirmed cases are rising on a global scale, while daily deaths are dropping, the amount of deaths has dropped by quite a bit. Could this mean, covid-19 is getting weaker and less deadly? Or is it just effecting younger age groups now more than older people?

I think perhaps, doctors are getting better at keeping people alive as they learn more about the disease.

We calculate the mortality of disease by the number of confirmed cases. COVID-19 is a lot more lethal than most influenza. The 1918 pandemic is the one known exception.

Many people who are infected with influenza don't have clinical symptoms. They aren't counted in mortality calculations.
Three-quarters of people with flu have no symptoms

We are waiting to see how things go this week in the UK, we lifted some of the lockdown nearly two weeks ago, so many hit the beaches as we had really hot weather. So if the incubation period is 5-14 days, then it will give us some insight into whether we will get a second wave. Also , all the protests may have in impact, ut that wont be known for a further 10days or so. Our shops open up on Monday , we have still had a few deaths in the local hospital- think 1-2 in the last few days. I guess we will not know for sure how everything will unfold until we all start travelling again x
Pleased that Australia is looking good xx

@Rita Oh okay; seems like it's all planned out already over there; here each Province has different rules, and even within a Province sometimes different rules apply in different places; and they seems to make period announcements as if they have just decided to make adjustments....

I don’t think they actually have a plan as such, it seems as if they are winging it most of the time !lol

They will all be cutouts of Black people, since the National Racist League is courting the Racist vote!

If you support the NFL you are as complicit in their Racism as if you joined the KKK!

Yes, the premier league starts on Wednesday, all matches behind closed doors !
I wonder if they're going to do what they did in Germany. Fans could get their pictures put on those cardboard cut-outs which were coated with plastic so they'd last a while.

German soccer fans can buy cardboard cutouts of themselves to place in the stands: report

Germany’s professional soccer league, the Bundesliga, is expected to return to playing sometime this month.

But there won’t be any fans to cheer for them because of the coronavirus pandemic.

No worries - for $20.60 fans can purchase a cardboard cutout of themselves that will be placed in the stands and help fund economic relief during the pandemic.

Then you watch the tele to try to find "yourself" in the stands.

The medical industry is political. They are manipulated by the Left who wants to destroy America. Virus deaths? They only care about the Left.

That’s a great idea, but I am not sure they are doing that over here. Although I will mention it to my dad as he can let me know when he watches the matches. Germany do have some great ideas x
