So what does a believer do when tempted to sin? Are you saying a believer should not use "self effort" to resist the temptation to sin?
How does a believer resist sin without using using his free will?
Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face!
And the thing of earth, they grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace.

You can use the force of your will to control the behavior of your flesh, and you can struggle and fight, and sometimes overcome, and sometimes not. Or, you can set your mind on Jesus, and tell Him what you are going through, and you can trust Him to deliver you from temptations, and the mind set on Jesus, unfettered by self-condemnation, finds freedom.

Much love!

When you trust Him, the Spirit life just flows. You don't have to try. But these little doubts are terrible!

So what does a believer do when tempted to sin? Are you saying a believer should not use "self effort" to resist the temptation to sin?

Your questions prove that of the 40 obo Threads ive written in the last MONTH, with 85% of them related to how to stop sinning, its obvious that you've not really reading them.
Ive answered your question in 30+ Threads.
But, i'll do it briefly for you, here, again.

If you are sinning, and you are born again, its because you are striving against sin.
You are trying by will power and self effort to stop., and this is is the problem.
It will not work.

Its like this, RogerDc, The Law is the POWER of Sin. And it has the ability, spiritually, to cause your flesh to be more enticed, more tempted, more out of control. And this happens when you by self effort try to stop sinning or try to resist sinning, in/by your own WILL.

So, that has to be solved..
As what is happening is..when you resist sin in your own power, striving, trying to stop, trying to not think about it, then this causes the LAW to enflame your very flesh to WANT to sin MORE.
See, what is happening is that you are wrestling with the LAW, by resisting, and the Law is stronger then you.
So, it by this resisting sin that you empower the LAW, to cause your desire for sin to INCREASE.
This is why 99% of Christians are sining, repenting, and then the sin comes again, and the same process....over and over.
What they, you, dont understand, because you've been badly taught by ministers, popes, teachers....is that when you try to pray it away, and resist it,..... this is all SELF EFFORT, Its the same YOU vs THE LAW.... and so you are causing it to continue......is the reality.

Ok then, like my Threads teach........you are alreadly rescued from the LAW...through this...>"Christ has redeemed us from the CURSE OF THE LAW""".
And this means you are here if you are born again...> "you are not under the law, you are UNDER GRACE"..
So, that is where you have to EXIST in your FAITH and Right Believing, or you will put yourself back in the flesh, under the law's power, and you will sin and sin and sin..which is really just walking in the FLESH committing works of the flesh. Galatians 5:19

How to stop sinning and confessing? = read my Threads.
But as you wont, let me try to help you...

DO THIS...
--

You must believe 2 things, or you will always be trying to get to what you will never find., which is a holy walk and a mind that is free from sin consciousness. Real spiritual power and true influence comes from right believing.

1.) BELIEVE : You are always at peace with God. Always... Romans 5:1

So, No matter what you just did wrong, again, next month, you are always at Peace with GOD. And the reason is, its not by what you do that causes God to always be at Peace with you.. But rather its because of Christ's accomplishment....His "finished work on the Cross' that is the "once and for all eternal redemption that Christ Gained" = the REASON God will always be at peace with all His Born Again Children.
So, on your best spiritual day, or on your most carnal backslidden day, or week, or decade,..that SAME BLOOD of God that was shed on The Cross, is what God accepted to accept you as His OWN, and this will always keep you in perfect Peace with God.
God's shed blood keeps you in perfect peace with God.= Believe this... remember this......Learn this. !
Now your mind will rebel at this idea.
Your natural inclination will resist this fact, regarding God's peace.
Thats the mind of the Flesh, the self righteous mind.
And that is the part of you that you that you have to RENEW, so that it does not keep you from right believing.

2.) BELIEVE : All you Sin is forgiven.. ALL. Colossians 2:13

See, if it wasn't, then you could not have Peace with God, you could not be born again, and you could NOT be a Son-Daughter - Child of God.
All your sin had to be resolved by GOD as Christ, so THAT you can exist in GOD, "In Christ" and in Eternity with God.
Now once again, your flesh , your carnal mind, will rebel at this idea. It will not want to believe that... and THAT part of you, you have to renew as that is the WRONG MIND, and that MIND will keep you in bondage to wrong believing and wrong living, and striving to be good, repenting, and yet failing.

Sounds like esoteric Bible-babble to me.

If you are tempted to sin, you can't resist it without using your free will. A believer is given grace, which makes resisting sin easier, but it still requires the cooperation of the believer's free will.

Furthermore, grace can be overcome by the believer's free will, so no matter how much grace is given to him, a believer can still choose to sin.

I never seem to get over this concept, that some think we need a mediator between me and Jesus, when Jesus Himself IS our mediator.
As the eternal mother of Jesus, Mary has a unique, very special and very close relationship to Jesus that we don't. By praying to Mary for help, she can make an appeal to Jesus on our behalf that may be more efficacious than if we approach (pray to) Jesus alone.

Yes...burn incense to the queen of heaven...for since you stopped doing that, everything has gone bad for you.

(take the time to read through the prophet Jeremiah).

Why don't you read it and find out.
You can read about Mary appearing in Heaven in Rev 12:

"Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars."

That is what you've been doing for all your Christian life, and that is why you keep sinning.
Can you connect the dots, fella?
"well, what im doing is not working, so, i'll keep doing it".
And you'll keep sinning.

All believers sin. I sin. You sin. We all sin. If we say we don't sin, "" we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us (1John 1).

Your theology is very confusing - in post 683, you seem to imply a believer should not resist sin and so sin away; but here you seem to imply that sinning is a problem.
So tell us, without any of your Bible-babble, what do you yourself do when you are tempted to sin? Do you resist the temptation to sin, or do you simply not resist and sin? You say resisting temptation is "self-effort" and is a no-no, so I presume you opt for the only other path - you sin.

So than does grace end, does grace run out, is Gods Grace only so full or is it half empty,

Joh_1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Yes, you have to be wanting to not sin.

That part that wants to sin . . . that is the flesh.

But by faith you can live the life of Christ.
"by faith"? How does that relate to reality? What does live "by faith" mean when you are tempted to sin?

When tempted to sin, you are faced with two choices - to sin or not to sin. If you choose not to sin, that requires the exercise of your free will, so how does your advice to live "by faith" help you to resist the temptation to sin?
