YOUR words from post #170:

I said we are saved BY Christ, THROUGH His Church.

You need to STOP lying already . . .
Through

that is how all are saved, if not for your church no one would be able to be saved

I did not lie, you are by misrepresenting me, that seems to be your operation since I have met you, you will answer to god for that

For us
those who are saved
titus 3: 5. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, he saved us
we are saved FOR good works, not BY good works.
a dog returns to his vomit because he is still a dog, he was not created anew for good works,
Nobody said that we're saved BY works. There you go LYING again.

An essential element of faith is cooperating with the works that GOD prepared for us to do.

Your changed the words
he said it is the work of god that we believe
stop taking credit for the work of God, that's blasphemy
Nobody is "taking credit" for what HE prepared for us.
We COOPERATE with what He prepared FOR us.

I've had an easier time explaining this to 2nd grade Catechism students . . .

Lol

dude you can twist words all you want

when you say you are cooperating, you are declaring it is the means by which you were saved

good day sir. Another fruitless day, I can just pray anyone who sees has learned by your dishonesty and twisting of words

They have already been indoctrinated,

but what you fail to see, is what you claim to say and what you said contradict each other

I cooperate with my boss to earn my wage

I can’t cooperate with god, because salvation is not a wage that can be earned

your no different than a Jew following law.

Jesus did not tell them to do the work of god

he said it IS THE WORK OF GOD

he in essence said there are no works you can do to save yourself.

did you come to faith apart from Gods work?

WRONG.

When I say "cooperating" - I am saying what PAUL said.
Paul calls us "Sunergos" (co-workers) with God (1 Cor. 3:9, 2 Cor. 6:1).

We COOPERATE with God - otherwise, we are disobedient.

That's NOT what the Holy Spirit said through Paul (1 Cor. 3:9, 2 Cor. 6:1).

Try reading the text.
They ask "What must WE do" to do the works of God
Jesus tells them to to do the work of God "you believe".

At the Last Supper - Jesus gave them the BREAD that became His FLESH.
It was tangible - not symbolic.
If it was the same as John 6, all who ate it would never die, live forever have eternal life, and never hunger and thirst

the last supper was a new tradition, the new day of unleavened bread, where we take to REMEMBER Jesu, not take to recieve eternal life,

We cooperate with him in doing HIS WORK

not to BE SAVED

not of works,, not by works which we have done

those two comments destroy your gospel of salvation by or through works

We won't ever die if we remain faithful (Matt. 7:21, Matt. 24:13).

And since when does "Remembrance" mean "metaphorical" or "symbolic"??
I bought a ribbon at my local mall in remembrance of what the Allied Troops did on D-Day and the money went to help War Veterans.
They are REAL people and the money I gave was REAL. There was nothing "metaphorical" about it.

No
he said THIS IS THE WORK OF GOD
He did not tell them to do the work of God your adding to the passage
And as I've told YOU about a DOZEN times now - Eph. 2:10 says that the works that WE do in Christ were prepared FOR us by GOD.
In other words, my clueless friend - it's ALL the work of GOD. We simply cooperate with those works.

That's what makes us "sunergos" (co-workers) with God (1 Cor. 3:9, 2 Cor. 6:1).
That's why Paul was able to say under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit:
Col. 1:24

Now I rejoice in MY sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church

Did Paul suffer and die for our sins?? NO - Christ did.
Paul is simply offering himself up as a living sacrifice for the Church (Rom. 12:1) and joining his sufferings with those of Christ (1 Pet. 4:13).

Jesus did not say this in John 6

he said whoever eats WILL NOT DIE PERIOD (they also will never thirst or hunger, live forever, and are assured they WILL (not might) be risen on the last day.

you eat food which perishes, if it did what Jesus said, you would not have to eat it every week, because it as he said would ENDURE FOREVER

I trust Jesus, I pray you will soon

You can tell me until your blue In The face, as long as you continue to takes works which believers do, also called works of sanctification, and make them required for justification (salvation) I can not believe you, or any church which teaches it

NOT of works lest anyone should boast

NOT by works of righteousness which we have done, but by his mercy he saved us

you keep ignoring these verses, the Bible has to agree, it can not contradict, your belief systems destroys the word of God and makes it contradictory,
