Of course this means that He did not come in sinful flesh but in the likeness of it....His flesh was actually sinless...
Why don't you give some teaching from the holy scriptures on the subject?
I'll bet you don't know what my screen name means without looking it up .They did not know a God by that name .. ... you on the other hand are making a circular argument ...
But anyway .. who was this El Fellow ? You go around criticizing others for their lack of knowledge of Scripture .. but you seem a bit lacking in in that you don't seem to know who this El Fellow is.
nice try only GOD is before all things as in the original Creation- Genesis 1God ordained him as the first-born of all creation, ...not Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses or David, ....
Colossians 1:15 (NKJV)God ordained him as the first-born of all creation, ...not Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses or David, ....
Everything charge that you laid, could be laid against you. You didn't even attempt to prove your point. There is a reality, that scripture is a few words, impressions into which we project our interpretations.
As soon as one uses words like "ridiculous notion" you raise yourself up to the definer of truth rather than the discoverer of truth.
And so much of what we accept as truth is emotional, subjective and based on our emotional history and bias.
It is why Jesus said this profound thing. "Blessed are the pure in heart, they will see God"
When God came and touched us through Jesus, He exalted us up to be His companions and friends.
That is something very profound. And it is the whole point of Jesus being God, the Messiah, the embodiment of the Father on earth.
And it is your perspective with its certainty and dismissiveness which reveals why you cannot see another perspective.
Scripture is a fantastic book, we see what we are looking for. Our faith or view is only shattered if a different perspective cannot be opposed.
One believer was so biased, he would deny the very words he wrote if they showed a different perspective or a contradiction in his logic.
There was no winning or showing something else, because he was not allowed to see this other perspective because emotionally it would have cost him too much. It is why to see Jesus we have to be prepared to die to the world and everything we know to find eternity and life with Him.
And I testify this is how it feels, but it is just us giving up our security in the world and resting on our security in Jesus.
God bless you
There is a distinction being made between God and His precedential creation, Jesus.nice try only GOD is before all things as in the original Creation- Genesis 1
Hence the Son is the Creator as Scripture declares below:
John 1:1-4
Colossians 1:16-17
1 Corinthians 8:6
Hebrews 1:8-10
Revelation 4

quit dodging and diverting from the Son, we are talking about the Son. I'll get to the Holy Spirit later. This thread is about the Son.There is a distinction being made between God and His precedential creation, Jesus.
Why wasn't the Holy Spirit mentioned in any of those doxologies that you cited?
They knew Him by the name of YHWH...
The name of Jesus means "YHWH is salvation"...the conclusion of YHWH revealing Himself in many such epitaphs...
YHWH-Tsidkenuh, YHWH-shalom, YHWH-Rapha, YHWH-Jireh, etc.
So, do you call Jesus Christ Lord?Yes .. enough with the circular logic fallacy 101. El-YHWH -Jeshua - all one .. Jesus was El .. Got it .. The simple point is that none of the people of the day meant "Jesus" when they used the term "Lord" it is circular logic to claim retroactively that this was actually Jesus they were worshiping ... to prove that this is what Paul was referring to when he said Lord - and we are to believe meant YHWH .. rather than Jesus or that he was looking at them as one.
Sorry - fallacy don't cut it in these parts !
but - at the end of the day .. it really doesn't matter what name we give to the most high ... or if Jesus is the same level as God .. because those things are beyond our pay grade. We just need to figure out how to get through the pearly gates... and none of this has any bearing on that .
You will be Judged - you do not have a free pass .. no getting around Judgement day .. but you can get through it ... following a simple rule.
and you have heard the rest of this sermon.
My point was that of all the verses that you quoted, there is always a distinction between God, and the son. That is, within the entire pericope. You fail to get the message. Like I said several times already, definitively, eisegesis is isolating passages. Not one of you verses said God the son, god-man, hypostatic union, incarnation or anything as such. They merely asserted Christ's perfection (image of God), and his consequent exaltation.quit dodging and diverting from the Son, we are talking about the Son. I'll get to the Holy Spirit later. talk about not knowing rofl.......................
Never said that.God CANNOT start or stop being God, unless the Devil says so.
No, I am saying Jesus was made good by the infilling of the Holy Ghost and letting it lead him daily through his life. You totally contradict yourself! You said Jesus wasn't good. You're comparing Christians with sinless Jesus?
Please explain the scripture to me word by word as you define it.So you only have one Scripture to twist into saying Jesus wasn't good?
They can by default.Deity is an intrinsic attribute, i.e. immutable, transcendent, omnipresent, incorporeal etc... no one becomes deified.
Yes.choose carefully
Is Jesus Righteous ? yes or no
King James Bible
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one
