cool.
it's a dead horse & an exercise in vanity tho -- Romans 14.
no Christian is bound by some law to observe any day, tho he or she may be bound by their own conscience, and anyone judging anyone else over either observance or non-observance is in error.

Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice"
(Hebrews 3:7)

again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today
(Hebrews 4:7)

You don't know what it is to be judged over observance or non-observance. Everyone <<is in error>> according to your holinesses if he on authority of Scripture resists your nonsense.

how do you reach that conclusion about me?

Everyone <<is in error>> according to your holinesses if he on authority of Scripture resists your nonsense.

ok i think you made a typo here - i'm finding this comment somewhat incomprehensible.
i assume it's some kind of personal insult?

So the tomb was already prepared, and most of the materials they already owned and had in stock, or were easily purchased the same day before sundown, while the sun was still descending in the sky, from circa 3pm (9th hour) to 6pm-ish (12th hour).
Thugs' theology!
Quote man! You know what it means to quote Scripture? Well then quote, you plagiarist pauper, Quote the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Christian claimer, where it is Written: <<the tomb was already prepared, and most of the materials they already owned and had in stock, or were easily purchased the same day before sundown, while the sun was still descending in the sky, from circa 3pm (9th hour) to 6pm-ish (12th hour).>> -- and I shall quote for you the evidence of ALL YOUR LYING, you thieving hypocrite: "laid it (THE ALREADY PREPARED FOR INTERMENT BODY) in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. 54And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. 55And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. 56And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment."

Read please:

Mar 15:42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,
Mar 15:43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.
Mar 15:44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.
Mar 15:45 And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
Mar 15:46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.

[5] Joseph of Arimathaea had time on that same day, after Jesus' death and after asking Pontius Pilate for the body of Jesus, and the inquisition made of Pilate to the guard, and taking Jesus down and way, to then purchase afterward [“And bought”] “fine linen” to wrap Jesus' body in [Mark 15:46].

[6] Nicodemus had time on that same day to bring [“brought”] “a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound [weight]” [John 19:39] along with Joseph of Arimathaea to then “wound it in linen clothes with the spices” and embalm the body of Jesus with [Matthew 27:59; Mark 15:46; Luke 23:53; John 19:40].

The "even" (in Mark 15:42) was when the sun is still in the sky and beginning to descend. The sun was not yet down, the final "evening". There was about 3 hours still of daylight. Enough for Joseph and Nicodemus to carry out their shopping and gathering what they already owned at their own homes (remember they were wealthy men of the Sanhedrin). It was a rush job, that's why the women had to wait until after sabbath to complete the job they had started:

Luk 23:54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
Luk 23:55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
Luk 23:56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

"commandment" (Exodus 20:8-11), not "ordinance" (since the Commandment of God superceded the ordinance (festal) in importance).
Luk 24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

Joh 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

Mar_15:43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.

Joh 19:38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.
Joh 19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight.
Joh 19:40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

The tomb was Joseph's new tomb, for himself. It was merely utilized as needful for Jesus being empty/vacant for occupancy.

Mat 27:59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
Mat 27:60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
So the tomb was already prepared, and most of the materials they already owned and had in stock, or were easily purchased the same day before sundown, while the sun was still descending in the sky, from circa 3pm (9th hour) to 6pm-ish (12th hour).

The reader, I or anyone, has ONE OPTION concerning this SDA hooliganism read here--, Or he must believe that all Scripture is God-breathed by the Holy Spirit, OR, Mrs E.G. You keep speaking about the three days and nights which I conclude to be 72 hours, and either ended at the seventh day or first day, which you did not make clear.

So, what day did the three days and nights ended, or rather what day did the three days and nights, begin?

From the first to “the third day according to the Scriptures”. . .

“the very first day” (Thursday) Exodus 12:15a, 14 Nisan, “Preparation of the Passover” begins :
Evening” (Wednesday) – “Preparation for passover”, the Lord’s Supper
Mk.14:12, 17, Lk.22:7, 14, Jn.13:1-17:26
Night” – Anguish, Betrayal, Denial, Trial
Mt.12:40, Mk.14:26-42, Jn.18:1-27 1Corinthians 11:23
Early” – Delivered, Way to Cross
Jn.18:28-19:22
Midday 9am to 3pm – Crucifixion, Mocking, Darkness,
Mk.15:25, 29, 33, Jn.19:23-29
Afternoon, “the ninth hour” – Died, Deserted
Mt.27:46, Jn.19:30, Lk.23:48

“The first day ye shall EAT unleavened bread” Exodus 12:15b, 15 Nisan;
“. . . the selfsame “BONE-essential-day” (‘etsem’) Exodus 12:17,41,51 Leviticus 23:14,21 Deuteronomy 32:48 Joshua 5:11 Numbers 33:3—
Passover “Feast”, “The Fore-Sabbath” (Friday), begins:
Evening” (Thursday) – Jews
“after this”, Joseph
Jn.19:31-40, Mk.15:42, Mt.27:57, Lk.23:52;
Night” – Took the body down, prepared
Mk.15:42-46b, Mt.27:58-59, Lk.23:53a Jn.19:32-40
Afternoon” – Buried
Mk.15:46c-47, Mt.27:60-61, Lk.23:53b-56b, Jn.19:41-42

the third day”, 16 Nisan, First Sheaf Wave-Offering,
Sabbath” Matthew 28:1, begins:
night
of the Sabbath - women “began to rest
Lukas 23:56c
Day / Morning after Preparation” – Guard
Only Mt.27:62-66
Afternoon” – Resurrected
Only Matthew 28:1-4

. . . the fourth day, 17 Nisan, Sunday, begins :
“The Sabbath past” after sunset
Only Mark 16:1
Early-darkness/dusk”, first sight of cast-away stone. Only John 20:1-2

In the beginning...
How have you worked that out?
Well it was on the premise that the first day was a sunday and the 7th day was a saturday.
Therefore 7, 14, 21, and 28.. were saturdays.
But the next post I posted made this not necessarily true,
because the next month would be a wednesday as the 1st day, because there are 30 days in a month not 28.
So every month doesn't always begin on a sunday.
So if every month doesn't always begin on a sunday, then how could every week start with a sunday if your going by a 30 day calendar?
You can't.
The names of the days don't matter.
Only the numbers.

But we changed times and laws and instituted new calendars.
Does anybody really know what time it is?
Serious.

I know what time it is.
Stop arguing about stuff people.
Put your arguments aside and come together.
NOW.

Time is VERY VERY short.
They coming after Christians.
And then who will you argue with?

I can't tell you. You all think I'm a conspiracy theory nut job.
TIME IS SHORTER THAN YOU THINK.

PRAY!

HUGS

Either way the passover is the 14th day at even..

While in Egypt the NIGHT of the thirteenth of the First Month for both Egypt and Israel was the END-HALVE of the thirteenth day of the First Month.

While STILL in Egypt the following DAYLIGHT marked the beginning-halve of the fourteenth for both Egypt and Israel.

While STILL in Egypt the following sunset and evening marked the beginning of the END-HALVE of the fourteenth for both Egypt and Israel.

While STILL in Egypt UNTIL "That Night...at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt", in Egypt "This Night" remained "the fourteenth day of the First Month" for both Egypt and Israel. Exodus 12:29. "37And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth"

Then when OUT of Egypt and long after the Exodus it became INSTITUTIONALISED, it is Written in Numbers 33:3, "3And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out "

And so, "That Selfsame Night they shall eat the flesh in...in the First Month, on the fourteenth day of the month, LATE, ye shall eat unleavened bread". Exodus 12:8 to 18. ('ereb' "late", here not "late afternoon" but "late evening before midnight")

To @GerhardEbersoehn, @Ziggy, @post, @ReChoired,

You folks are making the Crucifixion Week too complicated! I am not saying whether you are right or wrong but to the lay man it gets complicated, what with two feast days falling on the same week.

Let us make it simple by incorporating what Jesus uttered in John 11:9, "... are there not twelve hours in a day? and in Genesis 1:5 we read, "And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night? And the evening and the morning were the first day.

That is one day consists of 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness, the same system of time as we have today.

Armed with the information above, my question is: "What day of the 'three days and three nights in the heart of the earth' did begin?"

The first day begins with evening.

15 Nisan, Julian calendar Wednesday night, Biblical calendar Thursday night. The first high sabbath of the feast of Unleavened Bread.

Re: <<he bought fine linen>>
Mark 15:46a [Genesis 37:3c, 31]
καὶ ἀγοράσας σινδόνα
And he bought fine linen (for his grave cf., Mt27:60a Jh19:42c)
Mark 15:46 Interlinear: And he, having brought fine linen, and having taken him down, wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre that had been hewn out of a rock, and he rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre,

Answered:
ἀγοράσας – Participle Aorist and NOT a Verb - Strongs is WRONG, ἀγοράσας is NOT an Indicative Verb!
Being an Aorist Participle ἀγοράσας describes Perfect Past Tense in English and not Past Tense in English and therefore should be translated Perfect Past Tense Participle in English to be accurate and true:- ἀγοράσας-“having HAD bought”--to be exact: "having-had-purchased-multi-coloured/fine-linen' SINGLE CONCEPT, that selfsame night but in the past obtained before that selfsame night of Joseph’s and John’s joint undertaking of the complete burial of Jesus’ body.

Mark perceived precisely what John perceived with having used the words 'ἀγοράσας-σινδόνα' - "having-had-purchased-multi-coloured/fine-linen' "TO BURY" "according to the CUSTOM of the Jews TO BURY" (John 19:42). No other Gospel by any stretch of the imagination indicates that Joseph "At That Night" (John 18:38) bought, or went to buy in ANY manner or for WHATEVER purpose.

Post script:
Those who might have noticed it, I 'changed tune / viewpoint / mind' in regards to Mark's 'ἀγοράσας-σινδόνα'. I have come though to a better and all-encompassing view of my 'old viewpoint', nothing changed, only improved.

The first day begins with evening.

15 Nisan, Julian calendar Wednesday night, Biblical calendar Thursday night. The first high sabbath of the feast of Unleavened Bread.
Whichever <first day> in the Bible except the fourteenth day of the First Month while Israel was still in bondage in Epyt begins with evening.

Ironic that Sunday-Christians so desire to worship within the time-zone under bondage.

Now I too can see what you mean with <<The first day begins with evening>> and that that means <<15 Nisan, Julian calendar>> means <<night>> But how you got <<Wednesday>> there, is beyond me.
You yourself, say: <<Biblical calendar Thursday night. The first high sabbath of the feast of Unleavened Bread.>>! That's it, <<The first day begins with evening>>!
