Personally, I don't really care for beef or pork. My diet consist mostly of fish and chicken. I don't believe that God is going to condemn a person to Hell because they ate beef or pork, but I must admit that there is some wisdom in keeping with those dietary laws. It has been proven that eating too much red meat and fatty pork is not very good for one's health. God doesn't need to punish those who ate too much of those food because in time, they will already be punished with diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and the illnesses that comes with obesity, etc.
There were good reasons for having those laws during those times. This could be due to the fact that in ancient times people had not realized how to preserve and prepare some foods. For instance, pork not prepared or stored properly can cause illness. By labeling the animal as unclean and forbidden, consumption and handling of those potentially dangerous foods would not occur. In the New Testament, the most important commandment is to love God and to love your neighbor with all your heart, mind, and soul. Jesus did say that these are the two greatest commandments and that all the laws and prophets are fulfilled in these two commandments. Whether a person decides to eat a lot of red meat and fatty pork is really up to them. After all, God gave us free will. But there is great wisdom in the Bible. God cares a lot about our salvation, and I'm sure He cares a lot about our bodily health as well. After all, our bodies are now temples and the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. Both the human body and the soul are extremely important and both are equally valuable and precious in God's eyes.
