Is the Mark of the Beast already here?
In Canada churches cannot employ government subsidized summer students unless they sign an agreement not to be "against abortion and homosexuality".
Is this the start or part of it?

Many students are looking for summer jobs in order to pay for their university fees.

Many are now out of work.

I rights of freedom have been slowly eroded away for decades.
With the far-left wanting all the acknowledgements for so much "freedoms" and 'rights'....now laws, laws and more laws have slowly locked us into 'almost' where China and Russia etc were 60 years ago...no freedoms to think and speak freely ...and only being able to whisper in corners for fear of being arrested.
We are almost there again here in the west. And our man in Ottawa is pushing he wheelbarrow with Canada in it, quickly toward the cliff edge.

The question is...Has 'man' done this himself, or has God stood back and allowed it because of His timetable?
Is it time?

Either way, we know that we are in His hand.

As for your question "Mark of the Beast"...I think it is all part and parcel of it..
The Beast System is indeed raising it head of dictation and control.
