I'm sure there is a lot of truth to what you seem to be thinking.Wouldn’t you agree there’s no humility in this freewill debate

Calvinism is a theological orientation, how can that qualify as a cult? I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a church around here anyway that says on its sign the church of Calvin
MAny times I’ve found myself asking God to take my ability to make choices, because my history has shown me I don’t always make Godly onesI'm sure there is a lot of truth to what you seem to be thinking.
So you really do believe that the theology of Calvin is a cult, and your not just being pugnacious? All cults have theologies.
Good word there, 'pugnacious'. There's plenty of Scripture evidence for all the Five Points. Even as their is a lot of evidence also for human responsibility. So you really do believe that the theology of Calvin is a cult, and your not just being pugnacious?
It's an ongoing, practical learning to say:'Thy will be done'.MAny times I’ve found myself asking God to take my ability to make choices, because my history has shown me I don’t always make Godly ones
Maybe it’s just to searching for man to understand? It's an ongoing, practical learning to say:'Thy will be done'.
We do need to have the Psalm 139 attitude: 'Search my heart'.Maybe it’s just to searching for man to understand?
What scriptures are you referring to that Calvinists ignore or pervert? Any samples? It's kind of like when the Pharisees came to Jesus and asked Him for a sign from heaven...when He had just gotten finished doing a bunch of miracles!
So you didn't believe already when you chose to believe? Why else would you choose to believe if you didn't believe? You have very poor reading skills.
It’s a continual washing. I guess maybe it’s why Paul states the cares of this world are not even worth considering. After all it was the joy set before him that enable him to endure the cross. We do need to have the Psalm 139 attitude: 'Search my heart'.
For the Lord Jesus to endure the Cross, yes. It’s a continual washing. I guess maybe it’s why Paul states the cares of this world are not even worth considering. After all it was the joy set before him that enable him to endure the cross.
So you really do believe that the theology of Calvin is a cult, and your not just being pugnacious?
In and of myself, I am nothing. The difference between armanian and Calvin theology is the opinion a person has of themselves, you apparently have a very high opinion of yourself. I just don’t happen to share in that
Jeremiah 17.9 is indeed a searching and important verse. If I believe the testimony of Jeremiah 17:9 when I hear it, does that mean that there was something inherently good in me? if that were so, to believe it would not be in the basis of reality.
No, I believe in it because the Holy Spirit convinced me of it through His testimony. I still had the option of rejecting that testimony over wanting to believe better of myself. But if I believe it, that in no way testifies of any goodness in me.
1. Scriptures which reveal that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, and that He is the propitiation for the sins of the whole world. What scriptures are you referring to that Calvinists ignore or pervert? Any samples?
Great verses there for the believer. In and of myself, I am nothing.
2Co 3:5, Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
Jhn 15:5, I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Phl 4:13, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
1. Scriptures which reveal that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, and that He is the propitiation for the sins of the whole world.
2. Scriptures which teach that since the whole human race is under condemnation, God commands all men everywhere to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and that all may be saved if all will obey the Gospel.
3. Scripture which reveal that even though mankind is in a fallen condition (a) sinners can and do obey their conscience, and do righteous deeds as though the Law is written in their hearts, and (b) the power of the Gospel and the convicting and convincing power of the Holy Spirit are sufficient to bring men to Christ, following which they receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and are regenerated.
4. Scriptures which teach that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, and that saving faith is not a gift given to a select few, but can be generated in all human hearts.
5. Scriptures which reveal that God invites "all the ends of the earth" to come to Him for salvation, and that no one is excluded and they exclude themselves by refusing to come.
Sounds like the insanity which has taken hold of the Left Liberals and the Democrats. It seems that Total Depravity has taken hold of them, so that they are unable to believe the truth of the matter...
