To someone who understands the faith, bowing in front of a statue does not look evil.
Bowing to images is a sin.

I hope you never drop something valuable in front of anything. God might strike you down if you bow down to pick it up.
Why are you angry? I'm simply showing what the scriptures say in regards to bowing to images. If you feel you're the right, blow me off. You don't have to listen to me.
Question: Are you ok with the catholic church changing the 10 commandments? They removed one of the commandments. Are you familiar with that?
(Revelation 22:18-19) "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: {19} And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
Its awfully convenient that they left out the parts forbidding the carving out of graven images for the purpose of worship and prayer.
I wonder how many catholics know about this?
Can you PROVE this?Question: Are you ok with the catholic church changing the 10 commandments? They removed one of the commandments. Are you familiar with that?
You pathetic rants are almost comical - if not sad.See, there was this man, so long ago. in the wrong place at the right time, stuck there up on a cross, just so happens the man next to Him, was His and our Lord and saviour, he just did not know it. But what He did know was that this other man was innocent,
Luk 23:40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
Luk 23:41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
So nice when we recognize where we come from, than
Luk 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
and guess what Jesus said?
Luk 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Go figure, no religion, no church, no prophets, no rules, no doctrines just a man who needed saving and teh man who was there to save Him. Funny how relgion can do so much to undo teh simple things in Christ
But you see, no matter how much "shouting" and "yelling" and "screeching" goes on in this topic it wont change God who will,
Rom_9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
And God forbid that any religion should stand up against God and demand He do it "there "way.
God is God and He will not change for any man nor any religion.
God does not need religion to save anyone, religion puts people into bondage causes them to fear"lest they be excommunicated", who can deny Christ the right to determine who He will allow to be a part of His church, who has the right to determine how He can and will save men. Yet religion says "if you want Jesus you must come to us", where Jesus said
Mat_11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
And so we will do as Jesus said and the religious will do as there doctrines say.
Joh_12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
Sounds like you don't know your Bible very well.We know God won't be too kind to those who seek to add or remove from the inspired word of God. What the Catholic church did was exactly that, they combined the first and second commandments to only read "I am the LORD your God, you shall not have strange Gods before me". Its awfully convenient that they left out the parts forbidding the carving out of graven images for the purpose of worship and prayer.
'Old Man' most certainly should not be ok with this, if he cares for the fate of their soul. It won't be a happy ending for them.
Goodness ScottA,
You are very confusing. In point #1 you say that Christ DID NOT live in the apostles and then you say he DID live in the apostles. Sooooo....I think we are in agreement that he DID live in the apostles.
You said earlier that Christ is living in you.
The apostles where men that had Christ living in them HOWEVER you said you do not respect them (or the martyrs). Do you respect yourself?
Points 2 and 3 make no sense to me.
Just try to logically answer the last paragraph of post #714 and i will be happy.

Obviously.Nobody - not ONE single person in the Early Church believed what you're saying.
And so the world remains in slumber and delusion until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled, just as it has been foretold. Nonetheless, I have told you the truth. They UNANIMOUSLY believed in Peter's primacy and succession.
Some of them were students of the Apostles and had a MUCH clearer view on the Scriptures that you could ever possibly hope to have.Obviously.
And so the world remains in slumber and delusion until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled, just as it has been foretold. Nonetheless, I have told you the truth.
Although you do not deserve my grace for lashing out at me, I will explain. Some of them were students of the Apostles and had a MUCH clearer view on the Scriptures that you could ever possibly hope to have.
The Church doesn't remain in "slumber" - it continues to grow and mature - and YOU continue to reject.
Good luck with that . . .
You obviously do NOT know the Bible - and it is glaringly apparent that you don't understand the Gospel message.Although you do not deserve my grace for lashing out at me, I will explain.
The slumber and delusion is part of the overall plan of God. Again, so that the world would remain in darkness until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled. Thus Christ told the apostles, “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now." And while you make it obvious that many still cannot bear the whole truth, some can and do. For this reason Christ sent the Holy Spirit (not Peter) to lead us in to all truth. Again, I tell you the truth.
You obviously do NOT know the Bible - and it is glaringly apparent that you don't understand the Gospel message.
Jesus assured His Church of TWO things:
First, He said that even the gates of Hell could NOT be victorious over His Church (Matt. 16:18).
He also assured His Church that the Holy Spirit would guide it to ALL Truth (John 16:12-15).
YOUR version of the Gospel is that Jesus was an idiot who made false promises.
This "slumber and delusion" nonsense is something that YOU have concocted out of an abject ignorance of Scripture.
- The gates of hell shall not be victorious over the church. I never said they would.
- Exactly - the Holy Spirit. So why do you and the Catholics follow after the flesh, after a succession of men?
- You say that I say when I do not say - and that is on you.
- As for the slumber and delusion, how is it that you who have assumed to be biblically superior in accusing me, do not know the scriptures? (Rhetorical) It is because you project your own ignorance on me when I tell you the truth.
Again you show your limited biblical knowledge while accusing me. What I have told you is the whole word of God. You see and speak in part and do not consider the whole, nor do you welcome it.Because your entire theory about the "time of the gentiles" and the "slumber and delusion" are nonsense and not Biblically-based.
Secondly - you have a really moronic understanding of the Papacy - which is not following after the "flesh" at all.
You refuse to accept that Jesus left a hierarchy for His earthly Church. Paul expounds on this hierarchy:
1 Cor. 12:28
And God has placed in the church first of all APOSTLES, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.
Finally, for this foolish theory of yours to work, Hell would definitely be victorious over the Church - for a time.
ALL of this displays a really deep ignorance of the Gospel.
Job, I must of accidentally opened my Bible (I am Catholic)
And I came across the verse, Exodus 25:20 - what do you think?
