15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. - Romans 5:15-16.

We have received the free gift of salvation. Salvation is the gift of God, Christ our life, when we believe. I have had people wanting the experience of receiving revelation, and seeing Christ as life. But it is not an experience - it is a gift freely given to all that believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

What revelation is - the Holy Spirit teaching you Christ, revealing Christ to you..the Christ that is in you by a free gift of God..the Holy Spirit reveals Christ to you. Paul would say in one verse!

But ye have not so learned Christ; - Ephesians 4:20.

What that says is; we can learn Christ. Christ being taught to the believer is the primary ministry of the Holy Spirit according to scripture.

John chapters 14-16, tells you what the Holy Spirit will do when he is come.. after he is poured out on all flesh. I was raised in that kind of church setting - lot of feelings and emotions. Nothing wrong with feelings and emotions - but this is not an emotional feeling thing.

It is the absolute work of God by Christ in you, and has nothing to do with feelings. As a matter of fact you may not even feel your life - you can know it is there.. you can live from there..and all manner of life comes from there, and it is who you are, but it will not necessarily be a feeling or emotion.

Yes you can know it and you can feel good about it but you do not have to work it up, it just is and it is spontaneous because it is who you are. So you will not know it by a feeling - the only way you will know is by what the scriptures tell you about it, and what the Holy Spirit will reveal to you in the scriptures. Revelation is coming from the Holy Spirit, by the scriptures. That is how important the word of God is to you - and you understanding how he uses the scriptures for the renewing of the mind as the Spirit reveals Christ to you - through them. Through the scriptures Christ will be revealed to you - in you - as your life!
