The essence of this verse suggests that Paul was in the service of God, being called out by Jesus Christ to show and guide Christians in truth to maturity. To lead them in how they can live in holiness, in reverence to God and his will.

Great verses. I do believe the 'wonders and signs' were restricted ordinarily to the Apostolic period before the Scriptures were complete.
