Most of your verses are post-dated by the Book of Revelations, where Satan is referred to as still destined to be active, yes? So we can eliminate all but the verses in Revelation as certainly not referring to Satan having been defeated in the complete sense yet, are we agreed?

To that would say yes. Because of the scriptures they indicate a end of Satan from the very beginning of time itself and its brand new creation is going well for now... Satan was very active, with his demons, and those who possessed people and his Messengers, and everything about Satan was very much active when Jesus Christ has finally arrived on earth. Satan had been around. (Even most certainly the 400 year silence period where nothing was heard from God ~~

Then Jesus Christ has been born. And the promise of the Messiah had finally arrived to the nation of Israel, the Children of Israel, who rejected former prophets, and had them killed, and made even statues of them; idol worships, and they ended up killing the Son of God because they did not want anything to do with Him. Satan was still very much around as far as I am concerned, all the way up to Revelation when he is throw in to the lake of fire.

Conclusion: has anyone changed their mind about how demons operate and whether your wrestling flesh and blood or evil powers...

So haha, we might not be in agreement but it is okay. Thank you for allowing me to be able to share my view. For I do not believe that my view triumphs others, it is just very hard to argue a whole lot with because of trusting God and trusting that what has been said in the bible were able to be done by God and the Lord Jesus Christ. With faith, to trust that Satan has been defeated.

Do believe that seeing as Satan as defeated and the Lord Jesus Christ has had victory, and that God is the only authority, and that the bible is able to be learned from, also with the help of asking God what things mean, and what does He mean when Paul is asking questions or who is being talked to, what is being said.

Believe Jesus Christ has had the victory of sin, death, grave, hell'sh'eol' and the devil/Satan and his demons and the false prophet, and the antichrist, and has had victory over all of these things according to the bible scriptures.

And God is calling for all people to come to knowledge of His Son and really understand and have a spiritual relationship with the Father and the Son, and be born again ~ through believing and being transformed by being baptized in the holy spirit and fire by the Lord JEsus Christ, and you can learn as much as you desire if you get a bible and you read it and try to understand what you are reading and ask God to help you.

We sometimes have to put effort into reading the word, ~ The New Testament get a handle on all of it and what it has to say about God and the Lord Jesus Christ you will learn so much if you start in the Gospels, and read them over and over again to keep it fresh in your memory so you can remember things you have read and what is being said and you can even by the help of God understand parables.

Chapter 3:
Over the years I have gained a great deal of knowledge about demons and how they operate....when I finally learned to quit being offended because of people and began to pray for them and take authority over any demonic spirit trying to use them as a vessel to attack me keep others with....that is when I finally found peace. I quit warring against my fellow brothers and sisters and started putting my armor on and warring against evil.
The sum of all this....when I call upon the Lord to help with my battles...I always have the victory...my faith has grown tremendously in the area of spiritual warfare...and I hope and pray for any here who are battling that you can know that through Jesus your victory is already yours....Amen.

There is of course more to it than just forming the word, Jesus, with our mouths. We need to be IN the Name or in the Spirit of God.

"Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

A person in the flesh alone cannot contend against devils or demons. Consider the people who regularly use the word, Jesus, like a cuss word...!

Likely your pastor who put you out of the 'church' also frequently spoke the word, Jesus, but what power or understanding did he have?

That is a very good question....
There are many who can preach and teach and do it all in the name of Jesus but without power and authority behind it.
It's like someone who is acting on behalf of someone without their permission...as in a Power of Attorney....there has to be a signed consent form for someone to have Power of Attorney over anothers life.

I wanted to share something I was meditating on last night...
I was driving and the scripture came to mind ....put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness...
Garment of praise? Spirit of heaviness/despair?
Let me tell you that the greatest weapon against the spirit of despair is Praise!
I put on praise and worship music when I am struggling with things in my life that are grieving me and I feel so hopeless....but entering into Praise and Worship snaps me right out of it. My garment of praise has clothed me and brought me joy so many times in my life when I needed it most.

How do we know it's a spirit operating and not just our own flesh?
By testing and discerning what spirit is manifesting...

Does this indicate that there are spirits trying to minister to us untruths to deceive us?
