14) Blotting out the handwriting (cheirographon - handwriting) of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Cheirographon, Handwriting, used to designate hand written promisory notes, certificates of debt. This was learned from the 1000's of papyri found in Oxyrhynchus in Egypt.

Philemon 1:18-19 KJV
18) If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;
19) I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.

Jesus was made sin . . . as our record of debt was nailed to the cross.

Absolutely, but you have provided the verse in a corrupted form. Christ was made SIN FOR US. So here is the correct rendering, which makes all the difference:

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

τὸν γὰρ μὴ γνόντα ἁμαρτίαν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν ἁμαρτίαν ἐποίησεν, ἵνα ἡμεῖς γινώμεθα δικαιοσύνη Θεοῦ ἐν αὐτῷ.

Also "we might become" should be "we might be made". "Become" is future and "made" is past. God justifies -- declares righteous -- the one who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ. It is an accomplished fact in the eyes of God.

What does this verse mean? Since "all our iniquities were laid on Him" Christ not only became our Sin-Bearer, but He also became the personification and epitome of the SIN of the world on the cross. Thus He was represented by the Brazen Serpent in the wilderness. Then the Lamb of God took away the SIN of the world (John 1:29).

This is totally irrelevant. It is God the Father who placed all the sins of the world on Christ. And He did not go into the wilderness. He suffered and died on the cross outside Jerusalem.

Just another avenue Paul used to describe the sacrifice given in behalf of humans for redemption.

Jesus tells us to repent (Matthew 4:17). Isn't that good enough? He also told us we need to be perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48).

Johann, of course Christ was not literally sin, and then for our sakes. His Father attributed or imputed or made him 'wear' sin for our sakes and went to the Cross to pay for our sins. Christ previously performed the act of baptism not because he needed to do it as a real sinner. He did it as his open display and signature to his Father and creation, that he accepted his impending role as the anointed one and accepted his Father's work and mission to become the perfect human sacrifice for his Father, and us of of course. This is how we now have righteousness with God.

As someone has said: So, “God made him . . . to be sin for us” means that Jesus, although sinless, was treated as if He were not."
