I use to. The Hollywood liberty taken so to embellish stories is aggravating though.

They made a movie about the life of Fred Rogers, Mr.Rogers.
The only time this would happen and they cast Tom Hanks!
Horrible choice. Fred's wife critiqued the project saying,it did not resemble him in any way.

After that I'm going to hold off on so called true story movies.

Either way I believe lot of people like different things and some people forbid people to watch some things.
Yes it should go according to one's individual conscience. I don't like anything gory but do enjoy a good mystery, Western, sci-fi or suspense movie.

To agree with @Gray_Joy...
In 2013, I was approached by a Hollywood pastor's wife, asking me to put my testimony into a movie script that she could present to Lion's Gate, Universal Studios, and some others. I chose not to do that because I knew that my true testimony would be lost in the edits.

I did try to find a Christian producer and sent my testimony and had communication with the manager for the Christian band, For King & Country, that they would love to do the music for such a movie if I ever proceeded with it.

I just felt it was more important to keep my children and granddaughter safe than to pursue that. Anyway .... there's that.

Wise thing is more important to think things thru perhaps things would of gone worst and your testimony makes it and perhaps now that you have achieved so many things perhaps now you wouldn't know the important things God has for you. For a reason God gave us choices TLHKAJ.

This is a film adaption of the Frank Miller graphic novel "300". Which is itself based on the real life battle of Thermopylae.

I loved that movie. I didn't know the history of that final battle. I was rooting for the Spartans.

"Our arrows shall blot out the sun!"
"Then we shall fight in the shade!''

Best line in the movie.

Just watched The Achille Lauro Affair on Tubi. Burt Lancaster stars.

Anyone else remember this? I remember when that cruise ship was hijacked. And I remember how they threw the Jewish man in a wheelchair overboard. In the movie they shot him first. I always thought they threw him overboard alive...but maybe that wasn't the case.

And the hijackers were Palestinians... always causing trouble it seems. This happened in 1985.

Watched another movie based on true events.

It's called The Window. A Pakistani young man kills another man in self defense. The tribal leader orders the young man's 15 year old sister to be given in marriage to an older man (killed guy's older brother). This is still done in order to settle debts (selling of young female children).

The dead guy's older brother hates the 15 year old girl, as does his mother. They keep her captive in a small clay shack with dirt floor and only a small window. She is also chained so she cannot escape. She is abused by the man and his friends too.

She spends over 30 years locked in that small clay shack. After 30 years the old man tells everyone she has died. But she is still alive but languishing of course. A small boy chasing a ball discovers her as she looks out of the small window. He brings her a little food and tells his dad who is there visiting his home village. His dad is a lawyer who pleads in the city for police to investigate. By the time they break into the shack, she has already died.

Available on Tubi app.
