Revelation 21)4) And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5) But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Now where were they?Revelation 20:11) And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.13) And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. That makes it very very plain. NowWhere do they go?Revelation 2014) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Now look14) Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit. 15) And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name: 16) That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes. 17) For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. 18) But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. 19) And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. The former shall not come to mind for who, the redeemed of God. The unbeleiving shall not have the promise of the former things not coming to mind. And if One says that God shall not remember, they err badly. He ALREADY knows EVERYTHING, from beginning to end. From who is going to be damned, to who is going to be saved. God neither increases in knowledge, nor decreases in knowledge, because His knowledge is perfect! 1,000,000 years after the great white throne judgement day, where will those whose names are not found in the book of life be? Revelation 20:15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.Name a verse that says that these people will stop burning in the lake of fire.Simply put, one is going to have everlasting life or they shall have everlasting death.Heaven is the peace, the love, the joy of being in the presence of God forever. The lake of fire is going to be God's perpetual wrath because He is an infinitely holy, worthy, and righteous God, so even for one sin, God can leave them burning in a lake of fire. Does God enjoy such things, no, but His justice does demand eternal punishment because of who the person has offended. The offending of an infinitely perfect God is deserving of infinite punishment which will be seen and experienced by many, ak.a., the lake of fire. The second death is a perpetual death. I think that might have been missed by some people on this thread. The fire is plainly described as an everlasting fire, Matthew 1339) The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40) As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41) The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42) And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43) Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.Notice what Christ does not say in matthew 13:42), that the weeping and gnashing of teeth shall ever be stopped!Christ says "in the end of this world" and when shall the end of this world be? AFTER the Millennial reignRevelation 20:3) And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. At this point the old earth has not passed awayRevelation 207) And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8) And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9) And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.Then10) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Now the thing to notice about lake of fire, this is the same lake of fire that hell, death, and all those that were not found in the book of life were tossed into. Now seeing that the devil and the beast and the false prophets were cast into this EVERLASTING, not temporal, not a o now you don't exist anymore sort of punishment; and we have drawn to the conclusion that it is the same lake of fire where hell, death, and all those that were not found in the book of life are going to be tossed into, we can thus conclude that all those souls lost, will be lost forever in a burning blaze. The soul will be in a perpetual state of burning. And then after they have been dealt withRevelation 211) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Now considering that the devil would be in everlasting torment, and we have shown that the same lake is for those whose names were not found in the book of life, do you really think that they would instantly just evaporate? No, They are joined with the devil in everlasting tormentLook carefullyRevelation 149) And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10) The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11) And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.Notice "their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever", if Satan be unleashed after the thousand years, then how can that verse be talking about any time before the Gog and Magog are defeated?Look, look!Revelation 20:10) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.Notice the similarity? to Revelation 14:11?"11) And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Now notice something to, God is present, the Lamb see's all, including their everlasting torment in the lake of fire, which plainly put is the wrath of God.The angel shouting "If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb" was refering to the Second death, which is forever!"drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation" = lake of Fire!
I think this makes it painfully clear, crystal clear, that the second death, which is perpetual, which is everlasting, shall be a fate shared by all who are not God's chosen!FYI Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed in the temporal life, but Christ still talked of their up coming judgment.Mark 6:11) And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.I hope this helped you all in some way. Simple and plain truth, even when people try to complicate the matter.hebrews 4:12) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.Glory be to God forever more!
