The word was God. the word was not Jesus. the FLESH that the word was made into is a spiritual MESSAGE, preached by Jesus, that you must EAT....EAT...TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. THE WORD CANNOT DIE. JESUS DIED. Jesus was a mortal man. The Christ inside the man is the begotten son of God, born at his resurrection. Romans 1:4

dogma of Christ

71. Jesus Christ is the True God and True Son of God.
72. Christ assumed a real body, not an apparent body.
73. Christ assumed not only a body but also a rational soul.
74. Christ was truly generated and born of a daughter of Adam, the Virgin Mary.
75. The Divine and the human natures are united hypostatically in Christ, that is, joined to each other in one Person.
76. Christ Incarnate is a single, that is, a sole Person. He is God and man at the same time.
77. The God-Logos is connected with the flesh by an inner, physical or substantial unification.
Christ is not the bearer of God, but is God really.
78. The human and the divine activities predicated of Christ in Holy Writ and in the Fathers may
not be divided between two persons or hypostases, the Man-Christ and the God-Logos, but must be attributed to the one Christ, the Logos become Flesh. It is the Divine Logos, who suffered in the flesh, was crucified, died, and rose again.
79. The Holy Virgin is the Mother of God since she truly bore the God-Logos become Flesh.
80. In the Hypostatic Union each of the two natures of Christ continues unimpaired, untransformed and unmixed with the other.
81. Each of the two natures in Christ possesses its own natural will and its own natural mode of
operation.
82. The Hypostatic Union of Christ’s human nature with the Divine Logos took place at the moment of conception.
83. The Hypostatic Union will never cease.
84. The Hypostatic Union was effected by the Three Divine Persons acting in common.
85. Only the Second Divine Person became Man.
86. Not only as God but also as man Jesus Christ is the natural Son of God.
87. The God-Man Jesus Christ is to be venerated with one single mode of Worship, the absolute Worship of Latria which is due to God alone.
88. Christ’s Divine and Human characteristics and activities are to be predicated of the one
Word Incarnate.
89. Christ was free from all sin, from original sin as well as from all personal sin.
90. Christ’s human nature was passible (capable of sensation & suffering).

  • What is the sect that thinks Jesus was just a man? JW's, I think. Muslims too.
You're being led to believe lies. Jesus was God. Normally I'd post a bunch of scripture to prove this. However, if you want to learn the truth you'll seek it out for yourself and stop blaspheming Christ.
Just keyword search, Bible Jesus was God, in any search engine. You'll be proven wrong in your false beliefs for thousands of pages of result
You would do well to search the Scripture instead of search engines. that is man's word. Scripture is God's word and it does not not once, say that Jesus was God. I am not a JW, muslim or anything else like that. I study the KJV and have for many years. Jesus Christ was a MAN, BORN FROM A WOMAN, BEING AS WAS SUPPOSED THE SON OF JOSEPH. so says God's word. God set this MAN to be our Lord and our God, after his resurrection, Heb 1. Not one person in all the word of God ever said, I believe that Jesus is or was God. Mary did not birth a god. you are the one being led by lies.
Believe the false doctrines of choice as you wish.

If you study the KJV you have no excuse to claim Jesus was just a man. Not even Jesus said he was just a man. Many a verse attest to this. What you call the lies I'm being fed? Come from the scriptures.

Your false teachings don't. KJV reference means nothing when the claims you make about Emmanuel, God with us, are not scripture!
BIBLE VERSES ABOUT JESUS BEING GOD

Whatever your purpose here in insisting on fallen false claims about our Savior, I rebuke you! In the name of Jesus Christ!

so very true. One body made up of many members. 1cor 12 and Romans 12. Christ is the image of God. Christ is one body; many members.

one of the saddest things about the trinity is the Father, Son and spirit make up the trinity family and everyone else is left on the outside looking in. Jesus wanted everyone to be part of His family, trinity doctrine says your not allowed in.

Emmanuel was not the baby Jesus. It was the resurrected CHRIST. Jesus was never called Emmanuel. neither was he ever called God. He called himself son of man. God is not son of man. you keep saying that is scripture, why not quote one verse that says Jesus was God. that God died on a cross. That God was dead and in hell. that someone had to raise this dead God from the dead. Col 2 says he was the first begotten from the DEAD. REV 1 SAYS HE WAS THE FIRST BEGOTTEN FROM THE DEAD. Romans 1;4 says that God beget his son the day he raised Jesus from the dead. Acts 13 also declares this.

Hi @Freeborn Hebrews 1.8 says: "But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom."

John 1.14: "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

Colossians 1.19-20: "For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven."

Colossians 2.9: "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."

This does not say that John was a prophet of Jesus. that is adding to God's word, changing it. You will never find truth this way.

In Heb 1, God, the Father, a full kingdom of spirit, set the MAN Jesus Christ on the throne of God and gave him the honour of being one with the God kingsom. He told the angels to now worship his SON. He told everyone that now this man who died for us to reconcile us back to God, is to be worshiped as our Lord and our God......BUT Jesus is still the man in heaven who is the mediator between God and us. You cannot eat his human body so that is not the flesh that the Word became. it was the words that Jesus SPOKE. GOD GAVE TO JESUS THIS KINGDOM AND HE IS THE LORD OVER THIS KINGDOM THAT HE PURCHASED WITH HIS SACRIFICIAL DEATH FOR US. This is the true beauty of the man, Jesus. Mary did not give birth to a god.

Emmanuel was JESUS. Jesus is that virgin. it is saying that Jesus was a virgin to God; he never worshipped an idol. He never committed spiritual adultery. it is not natural/carnal. The resurrected Christ, that was the son of God, inside Jesus, is this Emmanuel. Jesus was not in government; never called Emmanuel.

Jesus was the God-man
Both fully God and fully man
His humanity died on the cross
Not one word of that is true. Not one word of that is written in any scripture. You are teaching a made up doctrine. give me one verse saying he was both fully god and fully man. where does scripture say that? it does not. it is impossible. if anything is fully or 100% one thing it cannot be something else.
whe word, god-man is not in one scripture. so what you are saying and believing is not the Word of God. It is lies of man.

lk 1: 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

the son of God is God!
then how do you account for the fact that he came from the lions of David; the stem of. Jessie Isa. 11. the seed of David Acts 3; his Father, David? He is called the son of Joseph in about six different places. the Holy Ghost took the seed of Joseph, which is the son of David, (not Mary) and placed it into the virgin Mary. Joseph is the natural father of Jesus. He is the seed of David and Abraham. Romans 1

Matt 17:1
And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

And His ascension to heaven prove He is God

Jesus is not the word?

Jn 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The word was a spiritual bread/message. that is the flesh and you must EAT it to have eternal life. you cannot eat the body of the man Jesus. You cannot drink his natural blood. John 6. There was no glory till the RESURRECTION. We beheld his glory after he was glorified. Before that he was in the likeness of sinful man Romans 8.
