"Friend of"..... a member here, wrote a Thread that asked about "how to become eternity minded".
Thats a really good Question..

Here is how..

To be "eternity minded" means to be heavenly minded.

Look at this verse..

"as CHRIST IS....so are the born again on earth"..

We as Saints of God......as Sons of the Most High, are to come to a place of Right Believing., and exist there..
Start with this verse and live in it for life. Hebrews 13:9

Paul says it this way....>"as many as ARE PERFECT"..
What does this mean?
It means to be perfected in your Christ Mindedness.
IT means to lose the carnal mind, to put it OFF..... and live in the Mind of Christ.
And what is that?
Its RIGHT BELIEVING.

Listen,
there IS the righteous perfection that has become each born again new Creation "in Christ", that is who we are in God's perspective, based on the Blood Atonement, and based on Eternal Life becoming wholly ours.
If you are born again, you have Eternal Life. You are not working to get it, and you should not be worried that you might lose it........as that is the carnal mind....that is wrong believing.
The reason you're Eternal Life is SECURE...is because Jesus is Eternal Life.
He IS Eternal Life....so, if you have him......you have Eternal Life.
If you are born again, then God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit are in you, and you are "ONE" with God and Christ..which all assures you that you have Eternal Life.
You have it because Christ who is Eternal Life is IN YOU.........its not based on your behavior. Its based on Christ being IN YOU, and you being 'IN Christ".
As i wrote in a recent Thread, we "start completed". We start born again, which is to be Righteous and have Eternal Life.

But then, there is this....>"work out your Salvation"..
So, we are to work out, =what is already inside, what is already become US....yet has to be evolved, grown, matured.
The Kingdom of God, is all new rules, and you are in there, and it it in you, but you have to learn how to operate within the situation...This is "working out your Salvation".
See it?

Baby Christians have to grow up.....and that is a process of growing INTO what you started out AS...Completed..when you were born again.
So, think about that....
This final evolution is to come to this place..= ."the fullness of the Stature of Christ".. which is to be accomplished on EARTH........this is not a "that only happens in Heaven".. situation.
You receive the new body and the end of your salvation when you meet the Lord in the Sky or after you die....sure.
But on EARTH , you are to become the "fullness of the Stature of Christ".
When you have fully worked out your Salvation.....and that is all about Revelation and Knowledge, then you have ARRIVED.

So, why do 99.2 % of believers never get past the.>"what im doing to stay saved"= carnal diaper stage?
Its because to get out of that carnal crib, you have to SEE more then you have at this point.
Spiritual Growth comes by Revelation, not by your advancing years..
This Growth is usually based on you finding a good teacher and sitting at their feet with your Spiritual Ears wide open.
This is why a 3 yr old Christian, born again only 3 yrs, who has a good teacher..... can be well Spiritually evolved while someone who is saved 50 yrs, and has had carnal self righteous devils as their teacher... is still on the milk bottle wanting to argue that you can "lose your salvation"..

Listen Reader, Growing up into Christ, is about revelation, not only about struggle or hardship.
As a believer, you will struggle, and you will have hard times, and those can be a test or a training ground.
The fact is, Life is a Test, and it became a spiritual one once you entered into the Kingdom of God.
So.... to grow up into Christ, is to grow deeper into HIM, by having your spiritual eyes opened to the Light of the next and the next and the next and the next..= Revelation.

Understand.... =Jesus is the Light of the World.
We the born again, are Children of the Light.
The New Testament is a book of LIGHT.
God is LIGHT....God is IN the Light.
Revelation is revealed LIGHT, and the more you have the more you are grown Spiritually by this process of receiving more Light.

Actually, it's right LIVING. Faith, or course is the prerequisite for that right living. Read Romans 8. Paul explains it. The carnal mind is set on the things of the flesh, while the spiritual mind is set on the things of the Spirit.

5Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

@Ferris Bueller Romans 8 is truly a glorious, doctrinally inexhaustible chapter! :)

Romans 8:

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Right living has nothing to do with God's Salvation.

Right living is the Nun, who is not born again, but fed starving orphans for 56 yrs in India, and died and went to Hell.
That is "right living".
Right living, is the theology that says....."ok, Jesus is the Savior, but my right living is what God requires for me to end up in heaven".
That's legalism.
Legalsim, is the flesh, its to fall from Grace, its to exist in the Carnal Mind, and its the theology of the self righteous heretic.

.

To walk after the Spirit is to exist in the mind of Christ.
This is : Right Believing that is based on existing in this verse.... Hebrews 13:9

No, no, no, lol. Right living is BECAUSE you are saved. If you are not 'right living' you show that you do not have salvation. You still have the mind set on the flesh, which Paul says means you do not have the Spirit and so don't belong to Christ. Read it. Romans 8.
