My thinking at the moment, is that the 1260 are the shortened days.

Revelation chapter 9 . The tribulation of antichrist is shortened to 5 month period.
Mark chapter 13. Jesus shortened time for the Elect sakes.
Revelation chapter 13 . The political one world system receives deadly wound near future. Satan as antichrist will heal deadly wound at the 6th trump. It's 5 month period.

Afraid not. The shortened numbers of days has to do with the 'sealing' of God's servants per Revelation.
