Most biblical verses on the subject confirm the second death kills the soul. So then Annihilation is the way to go.
There is only one verse that suggests an ongoing torment in hell....for the worshipers of the beast.

Figured that's what you meant.
In my review of dozens of verses, see my original post, I show that your statements are false. Hell is eternal.
Of course hell is eternal. But the people in it are dead. Try to stay honest in the discussion. Don't play word games.....and you might learn the truth.

The Lord will have all of eternity to exact His vengeance on the souls burning in eternal fire.
I think you are looking for vengeance...and trying to make God out to be sadistic. We tend to read our own understanding into the word.

"and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
Those in eternal fire will be punished, tormented or tortured. There will be no annihilation.
Do you know why it is called "the second death?"
Don't fear men who kill the body...but God who kills both body AND soul in hell.
Do men torment your body forever? ....neither does God.
The word of God is very clear in this matter, as I have explained in my review of dozens of verses - see my original post.
You have chosen to present lies. And to correct one of your lies, God is not sadistic for choosing not to annihilate. God is sovereign and just.
You are presenting an opinion. And a mighty skewed opinion at that. The corpses of the rebellious will not decompose as a reminder...for ever. Their worm shall not die...but they did.
Do you know why there is a second death? Because the first death is not annihilation. Neither is the second death.
It is written, "where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched".
Those in hell will experience eternity with a small tormenting creature in eternal fire.
You can show Annihilationists a hundred Scripture but that is of no consequence at all. That's the nature of wilful blindness.
