Now that could create a stir.

Eph 5:22-33
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
(KJV)

Yes sir, I expect it might. But I hope for a well grounded biblical discussion based upon the word. :)

Then why not actually add to the discussion instead of throwing out a question and waiting to see what is done with it?

Some people just like to throw a bone into a group of dogs and watch them fight over it.

I initiated it. Why don't you add to the discussion rather than throwing out a question, in response to a question?

Be angry and sin not, let not the wrath go down upon the sun, neither give place to the devil.

Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. - Matthew 19:6

Hopefully God has put the relationship together. In which case, husband and wife ought to work as a team to build a great family.

Absolutely; God has established at creation the need for Adam to have a helpmate. To journey together through the desert of life. Both fulfilling their God given roles, and man to dwell with his wife according to knowledge as unto a weaker vessel. As the scripture says NO man hates his own flesh, but loves it and cherishes it. So we too as husband nourish and cherish our wives as they're from our flesh.and are a reflection of us and are co-heirs of salvation.

As the spiritual leader of the house it's incumbent on the head to lead spiritually. he is to teach, instruct and train his children. As the head it is expected from God that he will have the greater portion of wisdom, discernment and understanding to lead and instruct his wife. Nevertheless having done that, his responsibility ceases. She alone in the end will bare the responsibility of her own disobedience(garden of Eden).

He is to lead and instruct, according to the word of God, but in no way is he to be found responsible, for her decisions, particularly if he has directed according to the word of God.

It's a Pharisaical and Gnostic mindset that says the husband due to his failure to lead is responsible for his wife's outcome. This can only be applied to raising of the children and only to the age of adulthood. To which I understand biblically to be 20 yrs of age. Beyond that they fully bare their own responsibility. :)

I'm tired of bones. It would be nice for a change for the OP to put some meat (their own opinion) on 'dem bones.

I didn't think there was any more 'responsibility' in modern Christendom. Everything is grace, grace, grace.
