Unlikely, but like I said he would probably try to stop me. At worst I would probably get ranted about. Or at least, I hope that is the worst that would happen.
It might be hard for me to find a church anyway. I didn't mention this because I wasn't sure if I would get hate because of this but I am gay and most of the accepting denominations usually go outside of my values.
Very good point. Maybe, even though I have been waiting for decades, I haven't been waiting long enough?
Gasp! Are we allowed to use that kind of language here?
All people have sinned in their life. However the sin of a gay lifestyle is not forgiveable. This is what Roman 1 says, that gay people are worthy of death, and it was true also in the old testament. People who are living a gay life, God has given them over to a reprobate mind. Only God can grant you to repent and have faith as He is in the faith business. IF you listen to modern worldly Chritianity, some may tell you God is pleased with you being gay, but HE most definitely is not and God's angels will cast you into hell.
You know being a christian requires a change in the heart and also to not do the things God does not approve of, such as things worthy of death.
It does not get any clearer that homosexuality is also known as sexual immorality. All sin is sin, but the sin against the body is a worse sin for Christians.
Romans 1
26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in
their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness;
they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
This is a letter written to the church by the apostle Paul talking also about these things.
1 Corinthians 6
9
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11
And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
Glorify God in Body and Spirit
12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13 Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them.
Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make
them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body
with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit
with Him.
18
Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit
who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
