You are forgetting the Biblical 'future-perfect' tense in prophetic Scripture. Revelation 17 is about the time of the end, not past history. The future-perfect tense is in the sense of prophecy given that is still future, yet given as ipso facto so sure like they already happened.

For the end, the Babylon Harlot will sit over all nations and peoples, like Revelation 17:15 does reveal, as also Revelation 13:1-8 does reveal. So that's not a past history. Same idea with verse 2, she will at the end do that.

Verse 3 points back to the first beast in Revelation 13:1-2, ten horns, seven heads, and ten crowns, which is about the global one-world kingdom to come under the coming Antichrist at the end of this world. Thus she is over the ten kings, which are the ten horns of the beast kingdom per Rev.17:12-14.

In Rev.18, the Babylon Harlot remarks that she sits as a queen, am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. That means she is married to a king (but which king)? That's the 'am no widow' tie-in in Rev.18 that the harlot says about herself, meaning Jerusalem is not a widow anymore because being married... thus pointing to Jerusalem for the end as the Babylon Harlot city...

Verse 12-14 goes back and tells the story again recap, it's not continuing after verse 10-11 in final judgement (The Books Were Opened), verse 12 and 13 is a recap, and verse 14 is the Eternal kingdom

Jesus is returning in verse 9-10 and again in verse 13, simply a recap of same events, that ends up in the eternal kingdom in verse 14

The bible is full of preludes to the story, it gives the account, and retells the story with more info

Sorta like the start of a movie that begins showing the end, then the movie is the story line getting to the end

It should be one prophetic week 7x1=7 yrs. 1290 days ÷ 360 days per yr.= 3.58 years, which is the combined earthly ministry of
John the Baptist (approx. 6 mos.) and Jesus (approx. 3 yrs.), being God's Two annointed ones prophesied of, in Zechariah 4:14.

However, the fact that it really is the Sacrifice of Jesus that causes the temple sacrifices and oblation to cease, to that detail I have said no lie or fabrication.
Still, after their combined ministry of 1290 days, he that waited and came to the 1335 days, was Blessed when 45 days later was Pentecost.
