Romans 6:11-13 KJV
11) Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12) Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13) Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
"As those that are alive from the dead"
This does not mean, "as those who were dead, and now have come alive", though that also is true. But this passage is specifically saying, "as those that are alive from out of the dead ones".
That there are all the dead ones, and we are those whom have come out of them into life.

10) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
