Salvation loss. Is it possible?

He, joined me to Himself, long before I knew anything of 'churches' or bibles. But let me just get you straight, I have tried to stay out of your way here. You would have me reject and throw out EVERY word He answered me to my questions the first night I met Him? One of which was :" Do I have to go to church now that you have come to me ?" He replied :" You are the church, people are the church, and if you are going to compare it to a building, then you are a brick in My church, along with those who believe." And yes ! I kid you not, He did say MY CHURCH. So who are you, to try to usurp Him in my life, to be taken over by a religious institution built on a foundation of paganism, murder, rape, torture, the selling of a place into heaven, taking from the poor, and on and on. NO THANK YOU.... I prefer the foundation He has given me. Now please can you just let me be. I did ask nicely before. All the best to you.

:) This almost made me want to stand up and clap my hands. fantastic. I don't recall Abraham belonging to a specific religious institution or 'church' when God came to him, he was a bit of a "lone ranger" as Mr. 'BreadofDeath' called you, the same goes for Noah.

I appreciate your reply, thank you. Yeah BOL actually got me to realize something just like that too. that most of the people who had encounters with The Divine in whatever form, were often spoken to and / or sent alone to do something. I do believe though that In Christ, we all have the opportunity to go and to do, because He is walking with us. As Jesus said before His departure :' You don't understand, it is to your advantage that I go away. for I will send you another comforter ( not to replace Him but as well as, in the Spirit ) who will lead you and guide you into all the truth." Thus anyone who truly believes , should be walking with Him and by The Holy spirit, with one foot in the world and the other firmly planted in heaven with Him also. I am so glad you got a little joy, couldn't we all do with more of that instead of nothing but disputes leading often , to nowhere ? Thanks again :) Pia

Either you're a sinner or you're not - and every human being who draws breath is a sinner.

The difference between a sinner who is in Christ and one who isn't is that those in Christ repent when they sin and are forgiven.
But, make no mistake - you're still a sinner.

You judge Christ, for it is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me. And so shall you be judged.

That's how you can tell it was fraudulent because YOU are not the Church. The Church is the entire Body of Christ - not the individual.
You have abandoned the assembling of the Body (Heb. 10:25), which is contrary to His will.

And your "facts" about the Catholic Church are very skewed, to say the least.

I only serve ONE Master.
This is what the Master (Jesus) said about His Church:

In Acts 9:4-5, Jesus equates his Body – the Church - with his very self:
He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" He said, "Who are you, sir?" The reply came, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.

Notice that Jesus DOESN’T say, “Why are you persecuting the Church?” (which is EXACTLY what Paul was doing).
Jesus chose to equate the church with himself.

As for what you have skewed - we can start with unfounded charges of paganism, the selling of a place into heaven and taking from the poor.
The rest of what you allege can be debated - but these three things cannot.

No, I actually doubt that any two people here agree completely word for word interpreting scripture. Or in any church building anywhere. Just my opinion though. I would say that we are "assembled". More so here than on the church pew where we get "Word" from one or two individuals. I'm not however willing to engage in debate over what that means to you. No offense.

Although I don't think the writer of Hebrews equated the "assembling" of ourselves as an internet forum or even letter-writing.
The Early Church gathered for prayer and the Lord's Supper, which required a physical assembling of the believers.

Maybe not. But we are here, assembled together, speaking of things pertaining to God.......to me anyway. And I am glad for the platform. You are all a blessing. Someone might only have this or another forum such as this and not a local assembly. Anyway, I feel as if I've hijacked this thread so I'll back away. :)

Hi, I need to ask a question.. I have seen apologies a couple of places for 'hijacking'.... I think I may have done that too... But I don't understand how to respond then, once anyone else has replied to a thing, if we would like to add something or a question, how do we do that if we cannot jump in? I am sorry, I thought the forum was for lots of people to come together, but obviously there is a way I am not aware of yet. Lovely to see you here....:)

Thank you, and I am not sure if I am just being extra dense, but I am still not certain how to ask a question or add a comment to a post, when another person has already replied, except for what you call 'hijacking'...Oh dear, I might have come across as super pushy and intrusive in some instances then...... I need help !
