This one was obvious from the day the war in Ukraine started, but for anyone who might have doubted, the proof is now becoming evident. Those running the show deliberately sabotaged the WESTERN economies through the supposed sanctions "against Russia." Russia is going through considerable manpower and militarily equipment, but their economy is now marching along at a better clip than it was when the war began.

Lest anyone think the powers that be are and were simply "underestimating things," let me reiterate this again. They are NOT stupid, ok. They know exactly what they are doing, and they knew EXACTLY what would happen. The destruction of the Western economies - particularly the US economy - is proceeding apace EXACTLY as planned from the beginning. Anyone who thinks otherwise simply doesn't understand what they are watching take place.

One of my interests is military affairs and it's amazing how our western media and politicians are whipping up a storm of anti-Putin hatred to paint him worse than he really is.
For example they gloss over the fact that Ukraine has been bombing the pro-Russian Donbas region of Ukraine for many years, here's a Donbas woman with her legs blown off, but you'll never see pics like this in the western media-

Ugh...

There have been numerous threads on this actually, and I feel much the same way. War is just plain horrific... I suppose sympathy for sending billions of dollars to support it would wane if they actually showed what was going on.

Politicians try to direct wars because they think they know better than the generals but end up making fools of themselves like Putin is doing.
The eastern Donbas region of Ukraine has always been pro-Russian and therefore bullied for years by Ukraine, so what Putin should have done was to "pincer out" Donbas with fast-moving armoured spearheads along the red arrows below to trap Ukrainian forces in there, in a quick clean war.
But instead he dissipated his forces along much of the Ukraine border and trying to take the whole of Ukraine and ended up with egg on his face-

Howdy.

Yes the sanctions have contributed to the price of fuel going up but I agree with the male reporter. It's the west's obsession with renewable energy that has been the main contributor to the hike in energy and fuel prices. All spured on by this false climate change narrative.

This whole war is based on miscalculation upon miscalculation. It is based on a very aggressive militaristic view that is pushing the world into more conflict.

If Ukraine had been encouraged to declare neutrality rather than become a pawn for Western aspirations. We are creating enemies in our desire for domination.

The NATO pact should have been disbanded along with the fall of the Warsaw pact. We should be seeking peace with Russia...not intimidating them into reacting against an expansionist agenda meant to destroy Russia as a global power.

The media is so slanted towards humiliating Russia. For what reason? For the sake of democracy? Or to show that our idea of democracy is actually MORE dangerous then the supposed autocracies that our "pursuit of happiness" is meant to confront and defeat.

I think the entire thing was originally precisely what they were trying to call it - a "special operation" designed to intimidate Zelensky's government into capitulation. But when that didn't happen, the Russians likely consolidated forces in the West to keep large segments of the Ukrainian army pinned down and committed to defending Kiev, and thus out of the fight in the East. But that's mostly conjecture.

I just wonder if the Russians would have gone through with it if they had known they would have another Afghanistan on their hands.

We're certainly not making many friends. I've talked to a few Ukrainians since the war began, and they aren't wildly happy about the "support" they are receiving. They view it as a lot of promises but not much action. What the nations of the West are doing at least is exacerbating the conflict into an endless war, with endless bloodshed and endless destruction.

When it began I largely pinned the war on the West for continuing to aggressively expand NATO Eastward. But now they have awoken a monster. Russia would have naturally sought to increase their influence by non-violent measures, but now that it has turned into a full-scale war they will likely threaten everyone aligned with NATO, and there will be less limits on the amount of military and economic pressure they attempt to exert throughout the region. Some people tried to argue that Putin was just another Hitler and that he needed to be stopped. I find that ridiculous. I think in reality the West was expanding Eastward all the way to Russia's borders, but would not tolerate any Russian expansion West. So now we have a war, and it's one that could go on for a very long time and destroy the Western economies in the process, which is what I think the globalists were actually after all along. They just wanted a scapegoat to blame it on, and now they have one.

Putin certainly made a fool of himself.
By contrast he did much better when he took over the Crimea in 2014 because the pro-Russian Crimean people had voted to let him in and not a shot was fired.
Perhaps if the Donbas region had likewise held a referendum to allow him in, he could have gone in with a clear conscience, citing it as "the will of the Donbas population".

Yes this is the current NATO map, Putin probably lay awake at nights worried that Ukraine would turn blue, so he decided to get in there first-

And to add to Putin's sleeplessness, there are 16 countries ranged along Russia's 12500-mile border-

Hitler too no doubt had some sleepless nights because Russia was on his eastern border, so he launched a pre-emptive strike because it seemed like a good idea at the time but he found he'd bitten off more than he could chew.

It is a longer war than I thought. Russia will likely keep the entire eastern part of ukraine and all along the southern coast to Moldova, keeping the Black Sea in the region clear of NATO influence. Russia did say the people will have a vote on joining the Russian Federation versus staying in Ukraine. Ukraine needs to change it's leadership and become entirely neutral to ensure a lasting peace. I also had read, Ukraine plan before this war was going to allow NATO to place bases all along the Russian Border.

Ukraine will become a landlocked much smaller country. You know Ukraine's borders were created by Soviet Russia.

Yes, neither Zelensky or Putin wants to lose face by relinquishing territory, so a good compromise would be for Zelensky to grudgingly allowing Putin to keep the Donbas on the grounds that "It's what the Donbas people want", and in return Putin could agree to end the war and withdraw across the border elsewhere.
Putin already owns the Crimea which gives him a strong Black Sea base anyway.

Keep NATO from having more opportunities near to Russia is a worthy goal for Russia. To them the less for NATO the better.

Here is a video from a veteran who says Ukraine has lost the war and there is no way for them to win.
NATO will just let Ukraine fight till the last Ukrainian man, they should sue for peace. Putin is not a fool, he is doing fine in the war, but I do think the war is going on longer than Russia thought it would. But also in a way this is not a total war scenario, it is a special military operation, so Russia is not all in, yet.

Incidentally, in a discussion by economists on TV, they all agreed that it could take months for sanctions to begin to bite Russia bigtime and become crippling, so that's another worry on Putin's plate.
He could therefore try to open a dialogue with the west along the lines of "If you consider easing off on sanctions, I'll consider withdrawing from Ukraine."

Satanist are and have been undermining the USA for years. not to mention all of the West. morally and on every position one can mention.
The MSM dominate the News and they portray only what they want you to see. just like Nazi Germany's Media did and every Communist Nations Media did.

This is a dumb War ! It has noting to do with the people, it's all to do with a handful of peoples wants that are so corrupt.

Let the Ukraine fight their own war, they broke their agreement that they would not join NATO, they went back on their word and are trying to get in.

Biden and his administration are evil plain and simple, they too will lose, just as the Ukrainians will lose.
