Thats not even scriptural...Jesus is the only Way , Truth and Life..through His perfect sacrifice on the Cross..The Blood Of The Last Lamb slain.
We are saved by grace through faith...NOT by giving away "stuff"..those things come after salvation ...they are the fruit of being a follower of the Lord.

No one other than the extreme Left (the rabid Socialists) would boast about the Nanny State. So what exactly was you point?

Here is some insight into the Nanny State:
    California: The Ultimate Nanny State
    Zen fascists will control you.
MAY 5, 2016 By David Harsanyi

In California, a 15-year-old girl can abort a viable baby without telling her parents, but starting now a married 20-year-old with a job and kids can’t buy a pack of cigarettes. Or get a drink. That same 15-year-old girl is banned from getting an indoor tan, and a woman must obtain, and give, “affirmative consent” before kissing someone during her college years.

No one can use foam takeout containers or plastic carryout bags or play online poker. This is a state that wanted to ban you from eating the livers of waterfowl. If the state discovers you’ve purchased raw milk, a confiscation team may visit your home to impound the supply. The sale of caffeinated beer is forbidden. E-cigarettes are now treated as if they were tobacco, even if they are not.

In San Francisco, where it’s illegal to light your own fireplace during Christmas, if you fail to recycle your trash correctly you can be fined up to $500, but you can’t get a toy with your Happy Meal because they’re banned. In Los Angeles, you have to wear a condom to make a porno, but you can have unprotected sex in Caligula-style orgies as long as you don’t film it.

Soon enough, rich Californians will again punish poor ones for engaging in habits they disapprove of by tagging cigarettes with an additional $2 tax. The state already has a sin tax on alcohol.

California needs the Supreme Court to tell it that regulating the content of video games is against the First Amendment, but its governor still believes forcing religious people to promote abortions is a-ok. And fear not, California was the first state in the nation to ban schools from using the term “Redskins” as a team name or mascot. It also banned the Confederate flag. Just in the nick of time, no doubt.

The state introduces around 2,000 new laws every year, and probably has around 200,000 “health and safety” laws. None of this takes into account the innumerable local incursions of modern-day Carrie Nations. Those screeching progressive moralists have nothing on contemporary versions like Jerry Brown.

Liberals who were the first to celebrate “those who choose safety over freedom deserve neither” signs during the Bush years are the worst offenders of the maxim. DC has already gotten in the game. Your state is, almost doubtlessly, also well on its way to emulating authoritarians like Jerry Brown and Michael Bloomberg and Bill de Blasio, who wants to ban baseball players from using chewing tobacco and tourists from using horse-drawn carriages. Although none of these intrusions alone is quite bad enough to entice citizens to grab their muskets, it’s worth remembering that the nanny state, as I’ve argued for a long time, is typically a precursor to broader and more dangerous intrusions into choice and individual liberty.

Did you not read what I said? You cannot be delivered unless you are a follower of the Messiah. To believe in the Messiah is to be a follower of the Messiah. If you believe in Gandhi then you are a follower of Gandhi. Why are you people so stiff necked?

All this time I foolishly 'thought' that you were a born again Christian..because you state "Christin" as your religion on your avatar...but by the post above...I see that is not true.

If "all" literally meant all, then I would have to also strip myself naked and get rid of my own clothes as well, and sleep on the street in the nude having literally nothing. But we know that the Messiah did not mean this, which is made clear by the early believers who chose to live in houses. Yet you choose to believe this absurdity, because you want to reject the sound teaching that we must all lower ourselves. Paul also owned a pen and a scroll, to write his epistles, while I own my laptop, to publish bible studies that many on the internet read, two different tools to fulfill the same necessity of communication.

And all this time I thought you were a stiff necked lady that refuses to accept anything that is logical and true, a false believer. And guess what, you've proven yourself to be this again. Shame on your for rejecting the necessity to lower ourselves. And double shame on your for rejecting the necessity to do good works.

Yep, that is what you have to do.

Because Jesus is telling you to do something that you cannot do, for that you believe that you can be saved by your works.

He has set the standard of perfect righteousness so high that you would literally have to go naked in order to keep it.

Because He said, Sell all that you have and give to the poor. And all does indeed mean "all".

That is one way, you would have to do that in order to be saved by your works; or, by keeping the letter of the law.

Or, you can enter in through the narrow path, by receiving the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ into your life and appropriating His shed blood by faith. Most people don't enter in this way because it offends their sense of pride. They think that if we do not do something to earn salvation, then it is all of God and none of us...and that means that I don't get any glory for my salvation...and this offends my pride.

So then, unless I am humbled by the Cross, I will not receive salvation as a free gift from the hand of God...for I feel that I have to work in order to obtain it; because that way I earned it and therefore I get the glory for my entrance into heaven...I entered heaven because I was good enough to enter in.

However, the scripture tells us that this is not the proper attitude:

Deu 9:5, Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Deu 9:6, Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
Deu 9:7, Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.
Deu 9:8, Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.

Not it is not. Not even the Israelites who were lowered by God to wander the desert 40 years had to strip themselves naked of their clothes. You err and fail to understand "lower yourself" through "sell your possessions" because you don't want to lower yourself, so you make yourself believe an absurdity, to then reject the truth behind "lower yourself".

And all the time you have a tech device, be it cell phone, iPad, or computer...then all that you "say " that you believe is just a joke, and not true at all....go and sell them, or give them away... then maybe you will be an honest man , not a hypocrite that "says" one thing does another!

No it does not. Lower yourself and sell your possessions and stop trying to discredit the truth. Even if tomorrow I were to decide to buy a lamborghini, this does not take away the truth that YOU must lower yourself, as well as all of us.

We can see not everyone who says they are Christians are. Some take that disguise because they want everyone else to follow the law because they do not understand that we are no longer under the law, they believe in error that the law will save them. They know nothing of Grace

I suppose not; but it would make YOU a hypocrite; and the fact that YOU require everyone to sell all their possessions when you "hold back part of the property for yourself" (see Acts of the Apostles 5:1-11) makes YOU a hypocrite.

And also, no one is arguing with the concept of our Lord that if we humble ourselves we will be exalted and that if we exalt ourselves we will be humbled.

A case could be made from James 1:9-10 (kjv) that in getting rid of most of your possessions and then boasting about it you are exalting yourself; so don't expect not to be abased.

Jas 1:9, Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:
Jas 1:10, But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

    And, btw, All means all.
