If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

Sinful christians try to say the chastisement of God of His sons is suffering for sins in this life: every sinner suffers the effects of sinning in the morning after.

And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

The chastisement of God for His sons is simple: to not go with them into their sinning, if they rebel against Him.

Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

The saint becomes a sinner by sinning again, and so becomes as all sinners on earth: not having God nor His Spirit and fellowship once again.

If we shake off His hand of fellowship to go sin with the devil, then He does not go with us: we are cut off from Himself, His Spirit, His fellowship, His true Light, and His eternal Life.

God allows His sons to become sinners again without Him, if that is what they choose to do by lusting for sin again.

Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

The only difference between the angels and the sons of God is that the angles have no space without God to confess and repent:

And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

The chastisement of the Lord is space of time without Him to repent, which is mercy on God's part to not allow the disobedient to die while sinning, nor while sleeping it off.

But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

The bastards are just the hearers only, who have never done the word and law of Christ in the first place, but still go on sinning after hearing the gospel of the cross.

Therefore, they don't even know the chastisement of God, because they don't know the difference between fellowshipping with Jesus in the Light, and keeping company with the devil.

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

The ongoing sinful christians of course think they are doing both.

But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

God only chastises them that do His law and Know Him Personally: God doesn't chastise any sinner, but only draws them to repent of sinning a receive power to become His sons:

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Everything in read is true....
Everything in black is your personal interpretation and understanding of what those scriptures are meaning.
Can God's Word stand on its own without man's input as to what it is saying?
Yes it can...but the key to understanding is to allow the Holy Spirit to teach you and guide you into all truth.
I can't agree with you on many points because a child of God is a child of God.
And comparing human parenting to God's parenting should have similar foundations.
A parent chastens his child yet still continues to instruct the child in the way it should live..and if the child disobeys and follows his own path then the parent again chastens them.
And throughout his/her childhood nothing they do can separate them from being your child.
The story of the prodigal son is an excellent example of our Father's love for us.

Spirit beings do not have inherited sin, therefore cannot repent Rob. All humans sin, whether born again or not.
