Mark 11:20-25

New Living Translation

What are your thoughts on these masterful things said of the Lord Yeshua?

20 The next morning as they passed by the fig tree he had cursed, the disciples noticed it had withered from the roots up.

21 Peter remembered what Jesus had said to the tree on the previous day and exclaimed, “Look, Rabbi! The fig tree you cursed has withered and died!”

22 Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God.

23 I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.

24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.

25 But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.[a]”

Genesis 3:7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

To cover up their deed to God - fig leaves were sown together: And expression of religion.

The proper attire for the wedding to be properly clothed in Christ; by and through his death, burial, and resurrection.

This fig tree was also a representation of Jerusalem at the time because of their idolatry, and continuous backsliding.

Jesus curses this way of going about in life. Religion has to be put to death, at that time Jerusalem was the hierarchy of religion with the Priesthood's, sacrifices, genealogies, being the chosen nation of God. The fig was cursed, and Peter noticed the following day, that the fig tree withered and died.

Religion can kill your relationship with God and Christ - having you put on fig clothes to hide because of nakedness, the real relationship comes by looking towards the Lord Jesus Christ, and being set free, and clothed by him.

Jesus promises them to be able to perform things which they could pray about and they would receive - but it is not just asking God about anything it's all related to what is the will of God. They would go on to cast out demons, and do miraculous healings, until either they died, or seen Yeshua come back.

Have faith in God - That is where it starts. That is what also breaks down traditions, and religion down, seeking after the Lord and trusting also him him, and asking God to help you to get over the religious way of man, and man-made traditions. When Jesus the Rock falls upon you you will be crushed, or you can fall on the rock and let him break you, and renew and change your mind from what it once was.

He also says it's important during prayer to forgive anyone that you hold a grudge against, before they pray in order to also have their sins forgiven too - In other words to mend you and get rid of that guilt you may have and letting Christ come in and through you to alleviate those anxities and guilt.
