Mary, when she said "yes" to God's will through the angel's word, was also the opening time for her absolute faith in the mighty God. However, she completely trusts in God, thereby overcoming all difficulties and hardships even when standing at the foot of the Cross, she does not have a word of complaint.

No Christian can live happily without faith. It is the faith that gives real meaning to a believer's life. Faith has the ability to do miracles, not in the sense of spells or spells, but is a driving force that motivates us to dare to think, to dare to do extraordinary things, because people with faith act with the power of God. God and not by our limited ability. Therefore, people with faith can do things that only the infinite power of God can do. In fact, it is not that person who acts, but it is God who works in and through him.

Faith is a gift, that is, a gift that God gives us, which by nature we cannot ask for, but only pray and hope for it. Faith is a light that illuminates God and his secrets, so faith must come from God. Faith comes down from heaven, is the wisdom and love of God to illuminate human intelligence.

Today our faith is expressed through our actions, as long as you have faith, God still accompanies, protects, and watches over us. He waits to sustain our weak faith in love each day of our lives. Faith helps me from sin to find repentance to be a child of God, or when I have faith from asking to live a normal life, but I know how to live optimistically and trust life's events, directing me to life eternal future.

Bob

Thanks for your interesting reply

It's in English now, so I can read it, LoL. At first I was marveling at how many members appeared to be fluent in Vietnamese. I was like, "Ok... this is different." Was wondering if maybe the power of faith was what was behind a new move of tongues now sweeping the earth.

Anyway, welcome to the forum, and hope you enjoy it here.

Yes, faith sent in love to keep us, and to grow us into becoming and being more and more in Christ. Faith is the food that sustains and binds us together, and more is given through the Father's love as we keep yielding our will and humbling ourselves in our heart to him - in Christ's spirit. Our actions in heart and mind attest to the fruits we bear and reveal to others.

Welcome to the site Jennifer.

Oh, definitely. Sometimes humorously so. But since I deal with folks in Japan, China, Taiwan, and Korea, it's an invaluable tool.

That is cool Lambano,
Your right about it being helpful tool
It’s fun to talk to different culture, and they definitely will be able to tell the differences. :)

I heard a story (probably apocryphal), that someone ran "The Spirit is willing but the Flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41, Mark 14:38) through an English-to-Russian translation program, and then back through the Russian-to-English translation program. It came back, "The Ghost agrees, but the Steak is shaky".

It's a funny story; it would be nice if it was true.

Hello Jennifer and welcome....

"Faith".....what is it?
Hebrews 11:1,6...
"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.. . . . And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him." (NASB)
So how does one obtain "faith" if it is lacking?

Faith is a gift, that is, a gift that God gives us, which by nature we cannot ask for, but only pray and hope for it. Faith is a light that illuminates God and his secrets, so faith must come from God. Faith comes down from heaven, is the wisdom and love of God to illuminate human intelligence.
Luke 17:5-6...
"The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” 6 But the Lord said, “If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you."
Who can have that kind of faith today? How can we 'increase our faith'? The apostles asked for that....and they were already faithful men.
What about the average person who wants to have faith but who feels lost or inadequate?

The Greek word is "hy·poʹsta·sis" (conviction).....commonly used in ancient papyrus business documents. It conveys the idea of something that underlies visible conditions and guarantees a future possession....like gaining a title deed of something you bought...the visible evidence that something exists, but that you may not have yet seen it.

Faith is definitely a necessary aspect of a Christian's life, (James 2:26) but how do we *show* that we have faith? What you have outlined here is quite correct....but to live optimistically in a world full of tragedy and hopelessness is a challenge.

How often I hear people ask for prayers concerning an outcome that they hope for.....but can we expect God to answer all such prayers...how do we feel when he doesn't? I know this creates confusion in many people....they wonder why God has not delivered on their request. But should we expect that he will just make the bad stuff go away...or for our problems to magically disappear? For the majority this doesn't happen....so should they conclude that God doesn't hear them, or that he doesn't care about them?

What would you say to them?

Let's just put our trust in God whether our hopes are achieved or not, in this harsh life, we also need to have faith to be able to give some comfort to the harshness of life.
