Clement didn't write that. Daniel did.

Clement wrote "From the captivity at Babylon, which took place in the time of Jeremiah the prophet, was fulfilled what was spoken by Daniel the prophet as follows:"

Do you know what "was fulfilled" means?
Yes the time from Moses to Christ was the point of what was fulfilled. The point was the time from Moses until Daniel, and then Daniel until the Messiah.

There were in all, taking in the duration of the captivity down to the restoration of the people, from the birth of Moses, one thousand one hundred and fifty-five years, six months, and ten days; and from the reign of David, according to some, four hundred and fifty-two; more correctly, five hundred and seventy-two years, six months, and ten days. From the captivity at Babylon, which took place in the time of Jeremiah the prophet, was fulfilled what was spoken by Daniel the prophet as follows: "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people, and upon thy holy city.
There is nothing in this part talking about confirming a covenant. This was about the length of time from Moses until Jesus was born.

Then you go and change the subject, and highlight a small part of the chapter Clement was quoting. Clement never said the Covenant was already confirmed. That was not even the thought of what Clement is talking about.

I've provided two explicit quotes, neither of which you comprehend.

Now it's your turn.

Provide just one explicit quote from the historical true Church before the 19th century, denying that Christ is the Covenant Confirmer of Daniel 9:27.

Just one.

Show us your stuff.
I have always posted that Jesus is both the Messiah and Prince to come. The Messiah was the first century obedience to God, covering 3.5 years of ministry. The Prince to come part is the Second Coming.

Daniel 9:27 covers the days of the sounding of the 7th Trumpet.

Neither of your quotes proved that Clement nor John Calvin claimed the Covenant was confirmed in the first century, because the Prince to come part is still future, as Messiah was cut off, for the mystery of the Gospel to go forth, which was a foreign concept to the first century Jews, to whom Jesus said, "Ye must be born again". The natural branch would stop functioning at the Cross. All would have to be grafted in as wild olive branches.

Do you not realize that they were looking for a Prince and not a Messiah, to be cut off? Now you claim the Prince part was already fulfilled, and not looking for the Prince to come. You are wrong, and others are looking for the wrong "Prince".

Messiah was the Prince who came.

The first time.

Fulfilling Daniel 9:26.

Not if both prophecies begin at the same time - 457 B.C. The 70 Weeks ended in 34 A.D., the Little Horn arose in 538 A.D., and the 2300 Days ended in 1844 with Jesus entering the Most Holy Place to begin cleansing the Heavenly Sanctuary.
The 2300 days are time of the end.

Daniel 8:
16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

Actually, the 1335 is merely the continuation of the 1,260 - which began after Rome fell and the papal antichrist arose in 538 A.D. This is textbook Protestant Historicism.
Are you SDA.

Also is the speaker in the video, Gerard G Dis, SDA ?

Show a quote from history declaring the 7th Trumpet has sounded. Show where Revelation 11:15 has been fulfilled.

"And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever."

Thanks for confirming your incomprehension.

If you think my historical true Church quotes are wrong, where are yours?

Show a quote from history where Revelation 10:6-7 has been fulfilled.

"And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets."

The Messiah part was fulfilled, and then Jesus was cut off. When was the Prince to come as described in Revelation 10 and 11 in your historical account, fulfilled?

"Finished" means "fulfilled". When has the mystery been fulfilled according to early church fathers?

We all know that the Messiah part was fulfilled. It is your claim that the Prince to come part has also been fulfilled. Jesus is physically on the earth as the Prince to come when the 7th Trumpet sounds. Just like Jesus was physically on the earth when nailed to a Cross.

Unsurprisingly, your inability to provide even one demonstrates the complete lack of support for your claims in historical true Church orthodoxy.

1. You
2. The historical true Church for 17 centuries

Need a hint?

Your "Antichrist" is a hoot. The word does not exist in the Biblical Hebrew or Aramaic in which Daniel wrote.
Your FLESHY Antichrist is the hoot!
It shows you don't know any more of God's written Word than the fact there are flesh people born and living on earth, and that's it. That because if it's a matter that is outside the flesh, you don't believe it can exist.

It exists only in the modernist dispensational imagination of fantasy and fallacy.
What you are coming from is men's false doctrines of pre-modernism, supra-modernism, imperialistic-modernism, supercalafragalistic-modernism, and any other term of stupidity that the ignorant try to use to sound as if they are an ex-pert.

Standard grammar further affirms Christ as the Covenant Confirmer of Daniel 9:27:
The grammar of the Daniel 9:27 verse has NOTHING to do with Christ's Ministry, and only one coming from the "synagogue of Satan" would think that. That's who you've been listening to, instead of staying in God's written Word.

So why don't you admit it, you believe Jesus of Nazareth is The Antichrist? You might as well say what YOU believe about Jesus, because falsely claiming the Daniel 9:27 events are what Jesus does, IS to claim Jesus is The Antichrist!

Brethren in Jesus Christ, is actually is very easy to know when someone comes here to a Christian forum and tells LIES against Lord Jesus Christ. The finger-pointing to Jesus Christ being Who fulfilled the Daniel 9:27 verse is one of the evidences of those who push LIES from the "synagogue of Satan", i.e., those who say... they are Jews, but are not, according to Jesus in Revelation 2:9 and 3:9.

How easy is it to recognize that the events of the Daniel 9:27 verse are done by the coming false-Messiah, the final Antichrist? It is very... easy to tell!

The Daniel 9:27 events involve the ending of the daily sacrifices in Jerusalem, and the placing of the "abomination of desolation" IDOL at the temple at Jerusalem in FALSE WORSHIP. All that is detailed in the Daniel 11 prophecy involving the "vile person", which serves as a 'type' for the coming Antichrist at the end of this world.

And per Matthew 24:15, Lord Jesus QUOTED about that "abomination of desolation" as a warning for us for the end of this world!

Matt 24:14-15
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand
KJV

Now what kind of 'sick' Biblically illiterate person would try and claim Lord Jesus is Who fulfilled the placing of that "abomination of desolation" in Jerusalem at His 1st coming during His Ministry?? Only an enemy of Christ would claim such a LIE. And it points to Christ's main enemies here on earth pushing that LIE, those Jesus called the "synagogue of Satan", false Jews who claim to be Jews, but are not, but are from the old nations of Canaanites that crept into among the Jews long, long ago. If I was the main Moderator here on this forum, those would be banned in a flat second.

Get ready, it's coming... May GOD rebuke you in the Name of Jesus Christ.
No, He already came.

2,000 years ago.

Christ the Covenant Confirmer.

Rebuking the pharisees then, and the dispensationees now.

I don't need proof from historical people. You made the claim, it is up to you to provide proof. I pointed out they never claimed that the Prince to come part was fulfilled. And you have sidestepped the issue.

Jesus was the Covenant maker as Messiah. The King part is still to come when time is declared over. Where is your historical proof that Jesus sat as King in Jerusalem and ruled all nations, and those nations obeyed without sin, and eternal righteousness was the norm. Where is your historical proof that the 7th Trumpet already sounded?

Protestant Historicism was around centuries before the SDA church. The foundation of Historicism eschatology rests upon what are known as the "Twin Pillars of the Reformation": Salvation by grace through faith alone, and the papacy is the Antichrist of prophecy.

Though its roots could be traced all the way back to the early centuries of Christianity, the movement organized like never before during the time of Luther and his contemporaries. With the exception of a few SDA additions, Protestants believed, preached, and taught Protestant Historicism for over 300 years, while denouncing Jesuit Futurism's "future antichrist" and Jesuit Preterism's "1st century antichrist" - until just over a 100 years ago when Western Protestantism decided to give Jesuitical eschatological ideas another chance...and now is heard everywhere, including this site.
