1 Thessalonians 4:

16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
The Greek lemma for "caught up" is ἁρπάζω (G726 harpazó). The Latin translation of this verse used the lemma rapturus.

It appears in the following verses:

Matthew 11:

12 From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force [G726 snatch or seize it].
Mat 13:

19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path.
John 6:

15 Perceiving then that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, Jesus withdrew again to the mountain by himself.
In total, it appears 13 times.

When is the great tribulation?

Rapture means you are full ?
When you are truly born again, it is then that you are in the rapture ? taken up !
Taken up is in regards to the blessing ! for one is blessed !

In the clouds means, in his majesty !

In the Air means in the Holy Spirit !

To meet the Lord means to be as one in him and he in you, that means you are born again !

The dead in Christ are the ones before us, they who have passed away but are in Heaven ? as we are in the will of Heaven when we are truly born again. we do as they did, for we are with them or one can say they are with us in Spirit ?

I see Noah preparing the Ark in the days of the flood, and being caught up between the earth and the heavens where God set him until the flood was passed.

There's a lot of catching up in the bible.
Philip was caught up, the woman in revelation was caught up and taken into the wilderness,
Jesus was caught up, we are caught up.

Where is the origen of this catching up?

Could it go as far back as God taking dust up in his hand and forming the man he called Adam?

dust being those dead in Christ being made alive at the resurrection?

And someone will say, Adam wasn't resurrected he was the first man.
Ok, but time doesn't always fit the way we want it to.

Gen 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Gen 3:14
And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

ashes to ashes and dust to dust.

Gen 3:19
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Adam was taken out of the ground... if this don't sound like ressurection then I don't know what does.

So God took some dust from the ground and formed a man in his own image and likeness and gave him dominion over the world.
God gave Adam his own Kingdom. And a bride. Eve.
And they both sinned and died.

Ye must be born again.

So Israel by the time Jesus is ready to be born into the world, Israel is spiritually dead. So God sees Mary.. just a speck of dust and takes her and breathes on her and put life in her belly and Jesus is born. But he also is born according to the flesh.
And as God breathed on Adam, God breathed into Jesus his life from the womb.

So Adam sins and he goes down. And Jesus don't sin and he goes up.

So God catches up Jesus and all those who believe in him, the dust and we are then formed into His body.
And Jesus is formed in the image and likeness of God and is given dominion over the world.
God gave Jesus his own Kingdom, and his bride, the church.

And if we believe and have faith we will not die but have eternal life.

So this is where I see the origen of this rapture occuring.
When God took dust from the earth in the first place.

Just like he took Noah and his family and raptured them out of the earth until the flood was over.

Jst like when Jesus comes back to gather his bride, his church and catches us up to be with him in his kingdom.
So whether we be dead (dust) or alive we shall be caught up with him.
Whether we sleep (dead) or whether we are awake if we believe or have believed, whether dead or alive, we're going for a ride.
:D

And as far as timing goes, all we do know is when the world got wicked enough so that mens imaginations were only evil continually, that God told Noah to build the ark and be ready.
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, not even the angels in heaven, but the Father only.
Because he is merciful and longsuffering and not wanting any to perish, I suppose he will wait until it becomes absolutely unbearable for us to stay here any longer, lest we also get washed away with flood. And forget to watch.

Very thorough. It seems like in the OT before God sent judgment he always sent a rapture or rescue mission. Noah's flood. Sodom & Gomorrah. The Lord rescues His people before judgment. We wont even see the wrath of God. That's the verse about hide yourselves in your chambers my people until the indignation is past, is all about.

We'll be in Heaven during the great tribulation at the biggest BBQ the universe has ever seen before while the earth rages.

Where there's smoke there's fire and things are getting pretty hot here now, in my opinion.

It starts small like taking God out of the schools, Which in my opinion should begin in the cradle and at the dinner table.
And today there is a famine going on and the kids are hungry.

So hungry they rather cut off their body parts and be fed by the world to fill their hunger.
And the parents being persecuted even at the school boards for wanting to provide better nourishment.

It's getting hot alright, but it's going to get real difficult.

I think when the world turns on the children that's when God says enough is enough.
It's one thing for adults who know the difference and choose one way or the other.
But these little ones are being manipulated into doing things they aught not be doing, and they trust those who tell them that doing so is good because everybody is doing it.

I just quoted a verse in another thread:
Psa 127:3
Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

The world is stealing God's inheritance. And God don't like thieves.

I guess "rapture" is referring to the perfectly clear Biblical event.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

No you wont ! everyone will go through the Hellfire in fact !

But if one is truly born again you will go to Heaven regardless.

Everyone will reap what has been sown in fact ! collectively ! you all brought it on, because you had no regard for Christ Jesus in fact !

If we were all abiding in Christ Jesus the Hellfire can not come in fact !

It's only because of your works are that of the Anti-Christ, that you all have brought forward and will reap such a Hellfire in fact !
