If anybody says “ REPENT OF SINS To be Saved?
obviously you have either not read Acts 2:37-38, or you have but ignore it because it is against your personal theology. Here it is:
"And hearing this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and to the other apostles, Men, brothers, what shall we do? Then Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
Here in Acts 2 we have the Bible Way on how a sinner is saved from their sins and become born-again believers.
First, they hear the Gospel Message preached by the Apostle Peter
Second, they are "cut to the heart" by this Message, what Jesus calls in John 16, of what the Holy Spirit does, "He will convict the world concerning sin...Concerning sin, because they do not believe on Me" (verses 8-9)
Third, because of this "conviction" of their sins and unbelief in Jesus, these ask Peter, "what shall we DO?"
Fourth, Peter does not say, "you DO nothing", instead he tells them what he heard Jesus tell the 11 Disciples in Luke 24:47 (ESV, NASB, for the correct reading), "REPENT... FOR the forgiveness of your sins". Then you will at that time, receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit.
Fifth, those who obeyed Peters words, are FORGIVEN of their sins, Sealed by the Holy Spirit, and BORN AGAIN.
Sixth, I will send you my bank details for the $1000 reward!
Seventh, now you prove me wrong!
