Great question sir, Jesus once said I am the light of the world, and he said that about his disciples as well. Jn 8:12; Mat 5:14
The reason he made these statements is because he and his disciples make known the word of God sir. They were sent to make disciples by teaching them to observe all the things Jesus had commanded. Mat 28:19,20
In a sense yes the tongues of fire at Pentecost represent the light of truth and the fire of divine love!
true Christ is the light of the world but in his very person!
Christ our salvation in his very person!
Chirst is our life in his very person!
Only cos He is God!
but the church is the light of the world not only a teacher of the light! Matt 5:14
The church of the apostles is the pillar of truth in itself and not only a teacher of truth! 1 Tim 3:15
one true church! Jn 10:16 all others are heretical sects of the tradition of men!

How long will you be limping upon 2 opinions Faith? If the Anointer is God, serve Him, if the anointed is serve him Faith. Compare 1 Kings 18:21
then the word is God cos only God is life!
Jn 14:6 way, truth, life
God breathed life into Adam, gen 2:7 and we received this life from our fathers!
Christ breathed on the apostles our spiritual fathers, we receive the new covenant life of God’s grace from them thru faith & baptism! Jn 20:21-23 Mk 16:16 acts 8:36-38 eph 2
Just as your word is you.
There is life (in all of its various forms) only because of God, who is the source of life.

Jesus radiated a light that blew away the stuffy cobwebs of darkness, and all christians radiate the same light..
