the church is governed by men

with authority in a three fold office to teach: to govern:and to sanctify:

Lk 22:29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;

If you notice the context of Luke 22:29, the apostles were granted to eat and drink at His table in His Kingdom, judging the 12 tribes of Israel.

In other words, the Kingdom given to the 12 is being joint heirs with Christ, as the Father has made Christ the heir of all things.

This has nothing to do with the false prophets who hold the "traditions of men" in the formation of the RCC.

The RCC has no power, no say so at all over the believer. The relationship is not with the demands of those perverts of the Gospel, it's with Christ!

Water in John 3:5 is a metonymy for John's baptism for repentance. Everybody must repent in order to be born again. But that is not what actually changes a person into a born again new creation. No work of faith does that. No work of faith can do that. God's forgiveness, received through faith, not works of righteousness, does that all by itself. Not lying, not stealing, being charitable, etc., no matter how motivated by faith in God they may be, can not transform a person into a born again person. The one and only thing that transforms a person into a born again person is God's mercy received by faith, not works of faith.

no John’s baptism was water and repentance only as a preparation for the Christian sacrament of baptism in the Matt 28:19 formula

No, they SHOW that you have the righteousness that comes through faith in God's forgiveness:

"Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds." James 2:18

"because her many sins have been forgiven, she has loved much." Luke 7:47
James says the person who has 'faith alone' is SHOWING that they do not have faith in God, just as faith and works SHOW you do. And so 'faith alone' shows that you are not saved. He is not saying you have to have faith and works of faith to be justified (MADE righteous). He is saying you have to faith and works to be SHOWN to be righteous. Otherwise, you obviously are not righteous (not justified).

You don't get this because you do not know that the word 'justified' means to be, both, MADE righteous (Paul's argument), and to be SHOWN to be righteous (James' argument). Context shows which meaning is being addressed. In the unnecessary attempt to get James into agreement with Paul, as if they were making the same point, the Catholic church changed Paul's argument to mean 'faith without works of the law, but with works of faith'. And so the question remains, "how do works of faith MAKE a person born again?" They don't, of course. Only God's mercy, received by believing in that mercy apart from the merit of righteous work makes a person a born again righteous new creation.

We are members of Christ in his grace and filled with his spirit!

All our actions are meritorious baptized into Christ and his church! 1 cor 12:13 put on Christ! Gal 3:27

Jn 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

1 Corinthians 12:26
And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

1 Peter 4:13
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Religion is what man owes to God for having created him in His image and likeness!

To Christ for having redeemed him in His own blood!

to the Holy Spirit for sanctifying him in the sacraments of holy mother church!

it only Christ by His grace (merits of His blood passion and death) that we are enabled and empowered to actually be holy and righteous and all our actions

if we live by the spirit we put to death the deeds of the flesh

my grace is sufficient for you

Phil 4:13 I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.

Jn 15:5 apart from me you can do nothing!

our participation is required

Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, (his grace and virtues work in us healing our defective nature and enabling us to be righteous and holy accomplishing his holy will!
Ez 36:25-27

Matthew 16:24
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together

2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Phil 1:29
For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Colossians 1:24
Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind (lacking) of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

Titus 2:14
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, (redemption) and purify unto himself a peculiar people, (justification / baptism notice purify / wash) zealous of good works. (Sanctification)

Charity

Deut. 6:5
5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

1 Corinthians 16:22
If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema.

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

John 14:28
Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

1 cor 13:2 all faith without charity avails nothing.

1 cor 13:12 now abide faith, hope, and charity, and the greatest of these is charity.

If salvation was by “faith alone” then faith would be the greatest!!!

If we are saved by faith alone then when we first believed we would be saved?

Romans 13:11
…our salvation nearer than when we believed.

1 Corinthians 16:22
If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

Matt 5 the merciful obtain mercy!

1 Peter 4:8
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Baptism is a commanded obedience but it has zero power to change/ convert/ make born again.
Only God's forgiveness received by believing in that forgiveness can do that. That's what makes justification/salvation the gracious gift that it is. So that no man can boast.

it is a gift of grace accomplished by God!

Ez 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

no John’s baptism was water and repentance only as a preparation for the Christian sacrament of baptism in the Matt 28:19 formula

Another false statement!

Acts 19:3-4
"And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus."

The baptism of John pointed to faith Christ for the repentance of sins. John's baptism represented the spiritual baptism, "baptism into Christ" that takes place at the point of believing Christ. The water baptism is the type, the visual evidence of the spiritual baptism.

I've already explained all of this in previous posts, but you won't address it, you will only ignore it!

Apostle is a messenger, one who is sent. Barnabas was called an apostle, he was the messenger of God to the Gentiles, as was Paul.

The commission of the original 12 was not carried on, it's not found in Scripture, it's the "traditions of men" that's carried on!

Judas was replaced and Mathias commissioned, that was the end of that.

What mission / ministry does Christ have?

Peter, the apostles and their successors have the same authority, power, and mission!

Jn 20:21 as my father sent me, even so send I you!

John 17:18
As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

The apostles are Christ’s successors!
They have authority to send others as well until Christ returns in glory!

apostle means one who is sent!

Therefore the apostles have authority to send more apostles or successors!

Apostolic succession!

The nations still need to be taught, disciples still need to be baptized and the church the new covenant kingdom of christ still needs to be governed!

Hebrews 3:1
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Christ is an apostle, and has authority to send other apostles, the apostles also have this authority, so the apostles continue down thru the centuries as Christ promised! Matt 28:19-20

Keys of authority! And power to bind and loose! Matt 16:18 and Matt 18:18 matt 28:19 Isa 22:21-22

Moral authority:
(Teaching)
Necessity of being taught by Christ:
Two edge sword: defining truth and condemning errors, and Interpreting scripture.

Jurisdictional authority:
(Governing / administering)
Necessity of Peter and the apostles and their successors to govern the holy church.

Spiritual authority:
(Life of Grace)
Sanctifying thru the mass and Sacraments for the forgiveness of sin.

The apostles teaching is Christ’s teaching, Christ and His church are one! Acts 9:4

Christian rule of faith is not the Bible alone! But the doctrine of the apostles! Acts 2:42

The church “is the pillar of truth 1 Tim 3:15 that must be heard Matt 18:17”

Jesus Christ extends his mission, power, and authority to His church of His apostles!

Even His judging!

His teaching authority!
Matt 28:19 and Jn 20:21
His power to forgive sins!
Jn 20:23
His being the light of the world!
Matt 5:14
His ministry of reconciliation!
2 cor 5:18
His authority in governing the church and administering the kingdom!
Matt 16:18-19 & 18:18 Jn 21:17

To condemn error! 1 cor 16:22

Jesus Christ founded the new covenant church for the salvation of all men! (Jn 1:16-17) Christ is the truth! (Jn 14:6) Christ and his church are one!
(Acts 9;4 eph 5:32)
The church is the pillar of truth
(1 Tim 3:15) that must teach all men (Matt 28:19) without error guided by the Holy Spirit
(Jn 16:13) Thru the grace of God in the sanctification of souls applied in the seven sacraments!

Jesus Christ continues HIS ministry in His new covenant church thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors with the same mission, power, and authority!
Mt 16:18 Mt 28:19 Matt 18:17 Acts 1:17 acts 8:31 & 35 acts 9:4 Lk 10:16 Jn 8:32 Jn 13:20 Jn 15:5 Jn 16:13 Jn 20:21-22 eph 2:20 acts 2:42
1 Tim 3:15

Fundamentalism drives a wedge between Christ and his church, separates Christ from His kingdom, and the authority of Christ from the new covenant!

1 Corinthians 16:22
If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema

Extends to the truth and the church

Cos Christ is the truth and His church teaches the truth without error! Jn 14:6 matt 28:19 matt 18:17 1 Tim 3:15 Jn 29:21-23 Jn 16:13

Christ and His church are one! Acts 9:4 eph 5:32

Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

The Word of God is the Bible today.
The just shall live by faith.
This would include not only accepting Jesus as our Savior, but it would be in doing the work of faith like Noah did (Hebrews 11:7).
Unfortunately, the RCC has added their own traditions that makes void the Word of God. So their version of living out the faith is purely an imaginary one. In the RCC: We see idolatry (statue worship), necromancy (praying to dead saints), looking holy in front of others, calling men there father, making Mary out to be a co-redeemer (When she rejoiced in God her savior), confessing sins to a priest instead of confessing one’s sins to Jesus, etcetera. They are all mixed up on what the Bible says because they are like the JW’s, Mormons, etcetera because they follow something extra that overshadows what the Bible says. The Catholic traditions or extra biblical writings has not shown to be divine like the Bible. So their religion fails ten times over. Only those who are too deeply sucked into it’s practices are not going to see what I am talking about here. It’s like an alcoholic. You cannot tell them that they need to stop if they don’t want to do so. They have to want to stop going down their own road of destruction.

It's not a rule exactly, it's more of an open invitation from Jesus to be his chum..:)

so Jesus is not the way, the truth, and the life?
How does one get this “relationship “?

That's easy, people have to believe that Jesus is the way, truth and the life and want wholeheartedly to mindmeld with him..:)
"On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you" (John 14:20)
