Most prophecy teachers mistakenly teach that Israel will sign a 7 year peace treaty brokered by the Antichrist which will begin the famous 70th week of Daniel. That will never happen! Israel is not interested in a guarantee of 7 years of peace, they are seeking everlasting peace. in 1967 the Israelis fought the six day war, only to be attacked again in 1973 on Yom Kipper. The Arabs used the time between wars to regroup and resupply. Israel will never let it's guard down for a short term agreement of peace.

What people don't understand is the 70th week is God's time frame, not mans. God has decreed that Jesus Christ would establish His Kingdom at the end of the 70th week of Daniel.

The covenant that will start the 70th week of Daniel is an acknowledgement of God's covenant with Abraham. The Antichrist will confirm "The Covenant" with many.

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Israel will be deceived into believing they are being offered a lasting peace, with their historic enemies finally acknowledging their right to exist in the land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

The 70th week of Daniel is a period of exactly 2520 days. The ancient Jewish calendar consisted of 360 days per year. People who teach that Israel will "Sign" a 7 year treaty never seem to consider how many days there are in the prophecy itself.

We are shown the 70 weeks from God's time frame. To think modern Israel will sign a 7 year peace treaty using the ancient Hebrew calendar, and that 7 years of peace would be an offer that would get them to lower their guard is fantasy.

If a charismatic leader got the world to acknowledge Israel's right to exist as a Jewish Nation With Jerusalem as It's eternal Capital and allow for the third temple to be built on the Temple Mount, That's an offer that would be enticing.

Most of the mainstream Bible Teachers parrot what others say. Where are the teachers who are still teachable? The Israelis' know what Christians believe, they have been warned again and again to beware of a 7 year peace offer, but that is an offer that will never come, because the 7 years is God's time frame.

As I understand it, Israel was to be punished for 70 years due to it not fully turning to God. After the 70 years, they still didn't turn to God, so the punishment was multiplied 7 times or 490 more years. The last period of 7 years is their final period of punishment.

A "House of God" was recently completed for the 3 Abrahamic religions in Abu Dabai. It consists of a mosque, a church, and a synagogue. Don't you think something like that foreshadows a peace treaty for the Temple Mount? God is not into sharing - 1st commandment.

I don't understand what that means. Do you agree or disagree with my post or am I the barking dog?
Israel's interest is expansion. It cares nothing for the long term interest of the inhabitants of the land.
Israel is a barking dog so to speak.

The seventy weeks of Daniel are 70 periods of 7 years called weeks in the King James. Other versions call it the seventy sevens.

The beginning of the 70 weeks prophecy began on March 14, 445 bc in the 20th year of Artaxerxes, King of Persia. The 69th week when the Messiah was cut off occurred on April 6th 32 ad. which was Palm Sunday. God stopped the prophetic clock at the end of the 69th week. The final 7 year period known as Daniel's 70th week is in our future and will begin when the Antichrist confirms The Covenant with many. God set Israel aside and began the church age of grace. The age of the church and grace will end at the rapture of the church. When the church age is finished God will fulfill his purpose with Israel.

Daniel 9:24-27, Seventy Literal "Future" Weeks Explained

Daniel's 70 weeks are literal 7 day periods, or 490 literal days.

If Daniel meant 490 years he would have written

(Four Hundred Ninety Years)

Daniel had no restrictions in "Writing" exact numerology as seen below.

Daniel 6:1KJV
It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

Daniel 8:14KJV
And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

Daniel 12:11KJV
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Below in Daniel 10:2-3 we see just another example of Daniel's literal weeks, as Daniel mourned and fasted for 3 literal weeks or 21 days.

Daniel 10:2-3KJV
2 In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.
3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

Below in Daniel 9:24-27 we see 70 literal "Future" weeks or 490 days.

When the "Future" call/commandment goes out in Jerusalem to build unto the Jewish Meshiach/Messiah that they wait for (They Denied Jesus Christ) this will start the 7 week period in preparing to build.

62 literal weeks will be in building, and Meshiach/Messiah will be cut off by the armies surrounding Jerusalem, this stops the building.

The 70th literal week will see (The Antichrist) revealed in making a covenant, and in the middle of this literal week he proclaims to be Meshiach/Messiah God to the Jews, and Jesus returned to the apostate church, to start a Millennium on earth.

The 3.5 year tribulation starts at this time.

Daniel 9:24-27KJV
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The word that Daniel used which is translated as "covenant" does not mean what most Christians have been wrongly taught it means. Ignorance of Jewish culture and language is a very serious issue if you base a system of eschatology on it. Western Christians have allowed ourselves to be misled about a great many things because most do not truly study and verify - as the Bereans did.

This word for "covenant" is used multiple times by Daniel. It is never used to describe an alliance or agreement between two earthly nations. Not once. Dan 9:4, Dan 11:2, Dan 11:28, Dan 11:30, Dan 11:32

Daniel uses an entirely different word for this type of alliance/agreement. Daniel 11:6
"habar"

This is quite amazing, as I studied this very prophecy from Daniel this weekend. The thought hit me: the "covenant with many" may be referring to the covenant that God made with Abraham, not a new covenant. The AC will simply confirm it. What's more, you bring up a great point about God using the Hebrew calendar, not the Gregorian calendar that we use today. As you stated, no modern agreement from world leaders would use a time frame of seven years based on the Hebrew calendar.

Jerusalem must fulfill all 6 things in this list for the 70 weeks prophecy to be fulfilled.

1) Has Jerusalem Finished the Transgression Against God? Answer: NO!
2) Has Jerusalem made an end to sins? Answer: NO!
3) Has Jerusalem made reconciliation for iniquity? Answer No!
4) Has Jerusalem brought in everlasting righteousness? Answer: NO!
5) Has Jerusalem sealed up vision and prophecy? Answer: NO!
6) Has Jerusalem anointed Jesus? Answer: NO!

Has The city of Jerusalem finished the seventy weeks determined for the city to fulfill all 6 things determined for her to fulfill?
Answer: NO!

The 70th week or final 7 years consisting of 2520 days can not begin until the Rapture of the Church happens ending the Age of Grace.

The grammatical antecedent/referent of "he" in verse 27 is "the prince" in verse 26.
The grammatical antecedent/referent of "the prince" in verse 26 is "Messiah the Prince" in verse 25.
Thus it is Messiah the Prince who confirmed the covenant with many.
Corroborated here:
Matthew 26
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

If the population roles were reversed, an Arab state was the size of tiny Israel, and the Jewish state surrounds, that Arab state would be a matter of past history. Because the Israeli state would have annihilated them.

What the above verse is saying is that Romans would destroy Jerusalem which happened in 70 ad by the 10th Roman Legion. Out Of the People who destroy Jerusalem would come a future Prince, The Antichrist. The "He" in Verse 27 is the Prince to come from the Romans, The Antichrist.

Daniel 9:27 "And he (The Prince that shall come from the Romans) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he (Antichrist) shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Jesus warned that the Antichrist would enter the temple and declare Himself to be God.
Matthew 24:15 "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

The Apostle Paul confirmed this:
2 Thessalonians 2:4 "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Many assert that the opening of the 1st seal is the beginning of the 70th week. As Daniel 9:24 declares, God has determined punishment upon the Jewish people and the Holy city, but the seal judgments are upon the whole world; so, how can this be the 70th week?
