The law and the commandments are obsolete and are no longer needed. Under the New Covenant God's people are led and taught by the Holy Spirit, John 16:13-16. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus. This is why the "Holy of Holies" was destroyed. God tore the veil that covered the entrance to the "Holy of Holies" from the top to the bottom while Jesus was dying on the cross, Matthew 27:51. This signified the end of the Old Covenant of law, rules and religion and the beginning of the New Covenant of grace and faith. God is now present with his people by the indwelling Holy Spirit, Hebrews 8:7-13.

The New Covenant is revolutionary because it abolishes the Old Covenant of laws, rules and religion. Paul said, "The just (justified) shall live by faith" Romans 1:17. They live by faith in Christ and his Gospel, Romans 1:17 and not according to the old religion of Judaism. This was a very difficult pill for the Jewish people to swallow. If you had been practicing Judaism for forty years and along comes Paul and says, we are not doing that anymore, it is no wonder that they wanted to kill him.

In the Gospel Jesus in our name and on our behalf fulfills all of the demands of God's Holy Law. This is why Paul said, "You are complete in Him" Colossians 2:10. If God sees us as perfect and complete in Christ then there is no longer any need for laws, rules and religion. Religion is a denial of the New Covenant of the Gospel and salvation by grace through faith, Ephesians 2:8. There are consequences for those that deny the New Covenant of salvation by grace through faith, Galatians 3:10. To continue under the Old Covenant is a denial of the of the New Covenant and Salvation by grace through faith and is under the judgment of God.

Under the New Covenant Jesus has done it all and he did it perfectly. We are now called to cease from our own works and religion and enter into his rest, Hebrews 4:9-10. We now rest in his righteousness and in His atonement for our sins and not in rules, laws and religion. If we are ALREADY complete in Christ, Colossians 2:10 and have faith in what he has accomplished on our behalf, then that should not be a difficult thing to do.

To be under or subject to the law is to be under a curse, Galatians 3:10. The reason for this is that it is a denial of the Gospel and justification by faith. Jesus is the Christians righteousness, not the law. We rest and trust in his righteousness and not our own. Worse yet, the law does not make anyone righteous. Where in the Bible does it say righteousness comes by the law? Paul plainly said that the law promotes sin, Romans 7:8. Jesus referred to the law keeping Pharisees as hypocrites seven times in the 23rd chapter of Matthew. Jesus said of them "They say, but they don't do" Matthew 23:3.

Obedience to Christ is motivated by love, not law. A good son does not need to be told what to do. He loves his father and would never do anything to disgrace or disappoint him. He knows what is required of him and lives accordingly. Jesus said, "If you love me keep my commandments" If you love him, you will keep his commandments, not because you are told to, but because you want to. The Pharisees were a proud arrogant bunch. They thought that they were without sin, they even tithed down to the mint in their gardens, Matthew 23:23. More than likely they bragged about that.

Sorry this is not correct.
Christians are not under the law, but the law is still there.
Jesus said that heaven and earth would disappear before even a punctuation mark was changed in the law and commandments.

The ten commandments show us how God wants us to live, they are a guide to in through life, yes we are not judged by them but they still exist.

Anyone who rejects the Commandments is a moron !
The Commandments are the foundations in fact of God !
We Christians are not under the Law but it's Grace that is over the Law. The Law comes under Grace in true Christianity !

The Law is the foundations the rock bed and that it is Grace give light to the law because it's Grace that is over the Law, as it sheds light on the Law, but due to the light this gives life to the law ? As the Law is dead to the life of Grace but it's Grace that enlightens the Law.

The Law was the schoolmaster and when Christ Jesus came we got Grace ! for Jesus is the Key and Grace abounds in him, such comes from him in fact, he is the wellspring of Grace !

Jesus said not one Jot of the Law that he was against in fact.

How can anyone reject the first Commandment ! for if you do you are not a Christian and not even a Jew !
If anyone reject any of the Commandments claiming they are not worthy of God and anyone who is against such is a total moron.

Prove to me that any one of the Commandments are worthless ?

Jesus gave us two Commandments and they are the Key to the golden Rule over such as the Law. If the Law does not abide under the two Jesus gave then the Law is nil avoid.

Jesus fulfilled the Law ! gave life to the Law ? before this it was only the schoolmaster that was set for this end ? Moses said so ! and the worthy Jews got the message and they became the first Christians in fact. This was real Israel for they were worthy of such in fact !

The ones who claim to be Jews nowadays are Lost for they are under the Law ! No worthy Christian is under the Law, but Grace abounds in them !
Their is no Grace in a Jew in fact, for they are not saved ! for they are Lost !

A so called Jew of late claimed the Jews had Grace, i said, no the grace you are talking about is not the same Grace in fact regarding Christ Jesus in fact, for this fool mistakes worldly grace for the Grace of God ! Blasphemy ! That of a common grub dupe is what he was peddling, such is that of one who is not born again. because they are of this world ! as Jesus pointed out in fact, that such is full of deceptions and delusions ? for they are Lost in fact ! it's just the sad truth ! I was their once been their done that, it's not a enigma to me at all.

What i have seen from people who peddle rejection of the Law, is that they claim to of been saved due to Christ has finished and all one need do is just believe, Jesus won it for you ? well yes he did but fact is that you must know him ! that's the real difference in fact.
Jesus says of such people that he never knew them ? why is that ? well they did not abide in him but were only religious and as we all know religion never Saved anyone's Soul in fact ! as only Christ Jesus does that in fact !
So they are cutting one short of the Glory in fact.
One needs faith that can move mountains in fact ! and little faith is only the start ? like they who can only drink milk, but you need solid food in fact and when you have the faith that can move mountains as the Bible says then you have Christ Jesus within you and you within him ! that's when we move forward out of this world and into the Kingdom of God ! That's what we need to over come. because we are rejoicing in the Lord Jesus ! because he is in our hearts minds and Soul ! Hallelujah !

The purpose of the law is to judge and condemn. There is no condemnation for those that are in Christ, Romans 8:1 because there is no law, Ephesians 2:15. Jesus nailed it to his cross, Colossians 2:14. The law promotes sin, Romans 7:8-10. Under the New Covenant God's people are taught and directed by the Holy Spirit, John 16:13.

Do you have a Bible?

Not justified by the Works of the Law, Is Rom 4:13 - 17 but you need read all of Chap 4 not to mention all of the Book of Rom and you may learn something than just peddling something that's only like a sound bite.

The Law can never fall away!!!

The problem with the Law is that people can't not keep it!!!!!

Therefore another plan for salvation was needed! Indeed, it was all planned before hand but the people didn't want the plan!! The plan was that people would be treated as sons of the King, and a King does not judge His children like you judge a criminal!! As children the concern is their upbringing, so it was about training, teaching, educating, and improving the children; so not about a legal matter!! Yet when the Israelites said, "Let not God speak to us", they made it about a legal matter and not a relationship matter!! Therefore, the Law had to be put in stone, to show the people that they could not get salvation by following a set of rules and standards of God (The Law) And failure to follow the Law of God meant death for all who could not follow it! Yet when death came after the One who had followed the Law to perfection, it was death that had to die. Therefore death was defeated by the willing sacrifice by the only One who perfectly followed the Law.

Still, there needs to be one thing that needs to changed, and that is that people still need to change the attitude that says, "Let not God speak to us." We have to get out from under the Law and into the relationship with our Lord that was always planned!! Or did we not read about how "Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him." (Gen 5:24) and that before the Law was put in stone!!!

God had always intended and want a relationship with His creation! And we are free to enter into that relationship with God through Jesus Christ, the Word of God and King of kings! All it takes is faith - a faith that means hearing from Him who is always with us. Never-the-less God has put before us both good and evil, so a choice needs to be made. Do you want to live under God, even as sons and daughters of the Host High - or do you want to live under sin, those dark evil forces that have rebelled against God. If God, then we seek Him as we can get ourselves to do so, and that results in getting to know Him, even as a child knows a parent. If not we go after the evil spirits of this world. So it is that we battle with those dark spiritual forces, even us Christian who want to do good have that battle, because sin (evil spirits) are still around. Thanks be to God that He is always with us and victory is in Him.

That might all sound a bit complicated, but it is not so. The Lord has again made it as simple as walking and talking with Him. It is not even that you have to be perfect at it, but just that you believe He is there to be inquired from - meaning you believe He is so you talk to Him as you remember to do so - and if we believe it is Today that we talk to Him, right? I mean if we believe God, the King of kings and our Father, is always with us, then certainly we will talk to Him everyday, right? We will listen when we hear Him call us by name, right?

Then we try, or at least want to try and do what He tells us, right. And what He tells us to do means we are trying to Him, the Law maker!! Therefore the One commandment that needs to be followed is not in the Law, but in the relationship!! And we know what commandment that is, right??

Deut 6:4 “Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!

That is it - "Hear, O Israel!" That commandment was not written in the Law of stone, but it is the commandment that results in a relationship with God! It is what Enoch did, it is what Abram did which credited to him as righteousness. (Gen 15). So it is the command that if followed shall cause you to love the Lord your God with all your heart, and that is in the Law! So we need to keep those words "Hear, O Israel" on our heart!

Deut 6:4-7 “Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!
“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
“These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart.
“You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.

And so when Jesus was asked what is the foremost command, He answered "Hear, O Israel" - and explained that then we shall know that God is One and that if we hear Him then we shall love God with all our heart, and also we shall love our neighbor as ourselves, because He does and we learn that from listening to Him!!

Mark 12: 28 - 31 One of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, “What commandment is the foremost of all?” Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘HEAR, O ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD; AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.’ “The second is this, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Still it was written:

Is 6:9,10 He said, “Go, and tell this people:
‘Keep on listening, but do not perceive;
Keep on looking, but do not understand.’
“Render the hearts of this people insensitive,
Their ears dull,
And their eyes dim,
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
Hear with their ears,
Understand with their hearts,
And return and be healed.”

So Jesus spoke in a saying and the Scribe missed the answer to his question of what the foremost commandment was. "Hear, O Israel" was the foremost commandment that must be kept, and that by faith, because it is the single commandment that causes us to love God and then our neighbor (the first two commands in the Law), but upon hearing the Law the scribe again focused on the Law and not the Lord. He was close to the answer, but did still not understand the answer is in the relationship with God which comes from hearing Him by faith. So Jesus told him:

Mark 12:34 When Jesus saw that he had answered intelligently, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” After that, no one would venture to ask Him any more questions.

Understanding that the Law, and especially the Loving God and your neighbor, is extremely important means you are not far from the Kingdom of God - but not far does not mean you still understand that only by hearing the Lord by faith are you going to Love God and your neighbor as you need to! So again - it's simple! You need to walk and talk with God and you will love Him, and His care for all people will be heard by you. So then you will realize the most loving thing you can do for someone it to tell them "Hear, O Israel"!!! If they listen to you so they listen to Him, then they will fulfill the Law through Jesus Christ, but if not the Law will judge them. So we preach faith in Jesus Christ, and that to mean that we need to seek Him and His instructions to us!

So I have explained it, but in a long form because it is still written to speak "Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on listening, but do not perceive;
Keep on looking, but do not understand.’ - and who listens to a fool? And you can tell a fool by the number of His words. Yet a fool understands more than most how he needs to listen to the Lord. Does someone who think themself wise seek wisdom - even the voice of the Lord? Do they even take the advice of an ordinary man telling them to seek the extraordinary One by faith? If they did they would know that the Law does not go away, but it is fulfilled through a relationship with Jesus Christ, and that comes from talking with Him!

Is 1: 18-20 Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the LORD,
“Though your sins are as scarlet,
They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They will be like wool.
“If you consent and obey,
You will eat the best of the land;
“But if you refuse and rebel,
You will be devoured by the sword.”
Truly, the mouth of the LORD has spoken.

Not justified by the Works of the Law, Is Rom 4:13 - 17 but you need read all of Chap 4 not to mention all of the Book of Rom and you may learn something than just peddling something that's only like a sound bite.
The bite is that we are not under the law nor are we subject to it. Best yet is that we are saved and justified by faith alone.

Obedience is not motivated by laws, rules or religion. Obedience is motivated by love. A good son does not need laws, rules or instructions. A good son knows what is required of him and lives accordingly. He would never do anything to shame or disgrace his father because he loves him.

Well the above is not true. What father does not have some rules (written or spoken) in his household?

And certainly if a father tells his young child to pick up the toys in his room; I tell you that rule and the fear of his father (even his loving father who is teaching the child) will motivate the child to pick up those toys - simply out of obedience!!

Now that doesn't mean that son is arrested and put in jail for not picking up the toys, but don't be silly - a child is motivated by the rules put in place by his father. And have you not read:

Prov 13:24 He who withholds his rod hates his son,
But he who loves him disciplines him diligently.

So don't start thinking that your Father in heaven will withhold His rod that motivates you to keep His rules!!

How about:

Rev 3:19 ‘Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.

or

Jer 30:11 ‘For I am with you,' declares the LORD, ‘to save you;
For I will destroy completely all the nations where I have scattered you,
Only I will not destroy you completely.
But I will chasten you justly
And will by no means leave you unpunished.'

Jesus explained that it is easier for heaven and earth to fall away than one letter of the law. Yeah - we are not under the Law but we fulfill the Law by being under out Father in heaven. That means we will not wind up in hell for eternity, but it also means He will discipline us and not leave us unpunished, and that for our own good!

The bite is that we are not under the law nor are we subject to it. Best yet is that we are saved and justified by faith alone.
Wrong !
Faith alone is no where in the Bible at all in fact !
Bible points out this, Oh you of little faith ? See that ! so it's not Faith alone at all !
Bible says, But you need the Faith that can move mountains ?

Now how does one get such a faith that can move mountains ? well it's not little faith at all, because Bible says such as the weeds grow up and strangle such as little faith in fact !

Only one in Christ Jesus can move mountains in fact, why well because such is of God's people. for they are truly born again for they are Israel = the servants of God ? With God things are made possible ?

The purpose of the law is to judge and condemn. There is no condemnation for those that are in Christ, Romans 8:1 because there is no law, Ephesians 2:15. Jesus nailed it to his cross, Colossians 2:14. The law promotes sin, Romans 7:8-10. Under the New Covenant God's people are taught and directed by the Holy Spirit, John 16:13.

Do you have a Bible?
Please show where my post is incorrect?
Please also supply the bible verse that say the law is not there for our guidance?

As you are well aware the Spirit will not instruct you to disobey the ten commandments, any 'spiritual guidance' telling anyone that is not from God.

Salvation is by faith alone because it is by Christ alone. Sinners cannot save sinners, nor can sinners save themselves.

You are just repeating yourself.
Spend much time on Christian forums and you will encounter many Christians asking questions about what is sin, can they do this etc etc.
They are ignorant of the 10 commandments and ignorant of the Spirits leading.
YES the spirit leads and teaches us, often as we read the Bible or listen to surmons . Just because we are not judged by the commandments does not stop us obeying them.

Obedience to Christ is not motivated by laws and rules, it is motivated by love.

A good son does not need instructions. A good son loves his father and would never do anything to shame him or disappoint him.

Yes you are right.
How do we know what God wants? In general. It is thanks to the ten commandments.
