What if Jesus came to you in-person and said he is Catholic. Would you convert if you're not Catholic?

I have no clue why you affiliate ANY Denomination with JESUS. ALL denominations are MENS contrivances, designed in part to worship GOD, but equally designed to control the participants.

So if "Jesus" came to me in person and said he was a Catholic, I'd tell him to: DEPART FROM ME IN JESUS NAME, -- 'cause he ain't JESUS.

My HEAD HURTS for someone who places such REVERENCE for the Church, instead of reserving that REVERENCE for GOD.

Yeah, church helps us to know GOD, both through "hearing" and "fellowship" so that we can work out our Faith. But the GOAL is NOT THE CHURCH, -- it's a closer relationship with GOD.


But maybe "TC.O" is a new Christian who hasn't seen the FAILURES in EVERY religion, and is fixated on something NEW that hasn't lost it's luster, and hasn't failed to work yet.

Maybe he could/should change his screen name to SoFarSoGood.org.

I have known diehards in just about every major denomination--Presbyterian/Reformed, Church of Christ, Baptist (Southern and Free Will), Catholic, Church of God, Nazarene.... You name it. Each was convinced that they were THE CHURCH. It makes me so sad! It must grieve Jesus to see so much division in His body.

It's too bad that people don't attend a PERFECT Church under a PERFECT Pastor, where I attend! -- Yeah, NOT!

It turns out the "pastor" (small "p") who was a good friend is a LIAR; and my own "pastor" (small "p") is also a LIAR; and let's not forget a previous "pastor" (small "p") who covered up the statutory rape of a young girl who had lost her mother to cancer, committed by the "youth minister", -- and that "youth minister" is still up on the stage leading songs. -- And of course I could go on and on with dozens of instances were man's "churches" fail the fellowship.

But there is ONE Church which is TRUE, and it's the Body of Christ.

YEAH, -- attended!!! -- And I didn't mention that in the church were I was "saved", a subsequent "pastor" (small "p") had an affair with the pretty (AND MARRIED with two children) church pianist; another statutory rape by another "youth minister"; "disfellowshipping" an older church member because he followed Scripture versus the "pastor's" (small "p") FALSE Doctrine; -- as just a few among many other "church" situations.

And the sad thing is, I try not to get involved with "situations". But sometimes the stench of an "associate pastor" (small "a", small "p") absconding with the HOUSE of a church member on his death bed; -- or other CRIMES are so blatant that all we can do is KEEP OUR DISTANCE so that the STENCH is minimized.

We've lived in a fairly small community of 12K for the past 35 years, and we probably have DOZEN churches, -- and I can attest that HALF (SIX) certainly HAD issues including the Biggest Church (popular denomination) whose pastor (small "'p") was hauled off for child porn; another I was threatened with physical violence for asking a question in an Adult Sunday School Class; and so on, and so on.

But the GOOD THING IS: What would a Great Falling Away be if we didn't have a BUNCH of FAKE Christians?!? And so Bible Prophecy MUST be fulfilled, and WILL be fulfilled!

Wow, not one yes for our non catholic christians! I put that out to see how harden your hearts are.

If Jesus came to me in-person and said the Catholic Church is not the Church, just follow your interpretations with the Holy Bible, I would 100% say hell yes!

Then I can set my own rules according to how I interpret the Bible. I wouldn't have to follow the list of mortal sins the Catholic Church has - just look at the list! No more Holy Days of Obligation! I can determine that I'm already saved by Jesus, no purgatory, no more rosaries, I don't even have to attend a church service, if I have church service - the music would be great and I can buy and drink a Starbucks at the service, no more kneeling all the freaking time, suffering can take a hike, don't have to listen to some Pope on a chair, no more confessing my sins to a Priest, I mean the list can go on and on...

Certainly satan tempts us to do things we shouldn't, but there should come a point where we RESIST, or REPENT. And I'm confident that some might REPENT, but it doesn't seem to be the majority, including my former good "pastor" (small "p") friend, -- sad to say.

If you meditate on what is the meaning of Colossians 2, maybe you will come to the proper understanding...especially the last four or so verses (20-23). But you will have to determine the deeper meaning of the passage as it applies to all of these requirements laid upon you by the Catholic Church.

"pastors" a multitude of PLURALS, but don't forget the multitude of FALSE Doctrines; and the disobedient church which is SUPPOSED to be a UNITY of voices, not a "single voice" on Sunday (Ref. 1 Cor. 14:26); and "pastors" (small "p") who are there to simply keep the cash rolling in and have NO REGARD or CONCERN for the fellowship; etc., etc.

And if you keep your eyes open, you'll see some who follow Jesus, versus those who simply occupy a pew on Sunday morning.
