Jesus Is The Lord
Zechariah 13:8-9KJV
8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.
Six people were murdered Monday and 12 were wounded, six of them seriously, when a pair of Palestinian terrorists opened fire on vehicles and pedestrians in Jerusalem’s Ramot Junction. The attackers used makeshift “Carlo” submachine guns—improvised weapons often manufactured in the West Bank
The military has begun cordoning off Palestinian towns in the area of the attack and setting up roadblocks. Authorities suspect that one of the attackers was a resident of Hebron, and another came from Beit Ummar, according to Walla.
“When we arrived at the scene, we identified that this was a serious and complex incident,” MDA Paramedic Uriel Lavi said.
“We located several injured individuals suffering from penetrating wounds. We provided them with initial medical treatment on-site, and after stabilizing their condition, we evacuated them for further treatment at the hospital.”
Yesterday, also according to Ynet, the IDF discovered a sprawling subterranean complex in the southern Rafah area that is said to stretch more than 4.5 miles and lies 80 feet underground. It also ran beneath a densely populated neighborhood, which included a UN facility, mosques, medical clinics, and schools. The tunnels connected 80 rooms which housed command centers and weapon housing.According to an initial military review, Air Force, guided by troops on the ground and Shin Bet intelligence, killed six of the terrorists in an airstrike. Units from the Nahal Brigade’s combat team arrested five others who surrendered and transferred them to Shin Bet custody inside Israel for questioning.
Troops continued air and ground searches Friday to locate the remaining terrorists.
There have been multiple instances of Lebanese army officials being caught working with Hezbollah in the past. This is the first instance of one of them being eliminated. As Israel stresses the importance of disarming the terror group, the Lebanese government has so far done little to do so. The IDF has gone on record saying that Hezbollah is rebuilding faster than they are being disarmed. It was unclear whether killing a Lebanese intelligence official would have negative diplomatic consequences or whether Lebanon would try to downplay the issue if it accepted Israel’s narrative.
All of this takes place as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington on December 29 to discuss many issues, including how far the parties will go in pressuring the Lebanese government to disarm Hezbollah, and what limits Trump will put on Israeli military actions in Lebanon.
The IDF has stated that what is happening in Iran is an internal matter and that there are no plans for Israeli strikes or operations. However, troops have been placed on high alert in case of unexpected scenarios should the U.S. take action.Trump has publicly warned Iran over the killing of protesters and signaled that “help is on its way,” while his team reviews military and non-military measures.
According to NBC, Israel has told Washington they support regime change and US efforts to facilitate it but worry that major strikes now might not “finish the job” begun by protesters.
Some Arab officials voiced concern that US or Israeli attacks could trigger a ‘rally around the flag effect,’ where public approval for a country’s leaders surges during a national crisis, inside Iran.
Earlier this week, Trump ordered U.S. troops to withdraw from the airbase in Qatar—a move many interpreted as a signal of an impending operation. However, The Times of Israel has reported that the troops have since returned after Trump informed Tehran that the U.S. may not strike. Middle East officials, including Israeli representatives, have asked Trump to show restraint to avoid the possibility of all-out war in the region.US President Donald Trump informed Tehran that the US would not strike the country and asked the Islamic Republic to exercise restraint as well, Pakistani outlet Dawn reported on Thursday afternoon, citing Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam.
“We were told that the killing in Iran is stopping, and there’s no plan for executions,” Trump said in the Oval Office. “I’ve been told that on good authority. We’ll find out about it. I’m sure if it happens, I’ll be very upset.”
Last week, Hamas used the same tunnel in Rafah to cross the IDF’s Yellow Line. The terrorists opened fire on the 7th Armored Brigade. Soldiers returned fire, killing four of the attackers. Another operation was carried out this week to eliminate any remaining terrorists using the tunnels. The soldiers killed six terrorists in the latest operations on Sunday, in addition to the three killed during the encounter last week, the military confirmed.
The military said that over the past week, troops operating under the 91st Division eliminated three additional terrorists who it said were working to restore Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
It added that forces dismantled several structures and engineering vehicles that, according to the IDF, were used by Hezbollah to advance planned attacks in the area.
