phone problems for me again and back on flip (i know)

i don't know if anyone mentioned this

can we please pray for the family of the people who passed from the tornado? also anyone alive still to be found quickly.

amazon warehouse collapsed in Illinois and candle company roof came down in Kentucky.

very distraught here.

also protection over Gods people and the innocent, because i am not sure if there will be more. Not being prophetic, just not sure. There is a lot of bad weather.

Father, I pray for everyone effected by these storms. I pray for their protection, restoration, and that they can have hope during this time. In Jesus Name, Amen.

We had some wind last night, probably 50mph gusts. But not too bad. Just some downed tree limbs. I then looked at the news and saw the devastation east. They do need our prayers.

I've been watching the news. There still getting news on it. And right before Christmas. Kinda reminds me of a Christmas and Birthday that I spent in jail and it wasn't my fault that I was in there. It's depressing. I also missed thanksgiving this year because of health problems. So I can imagine those people that lost everything are in a bad place. I can kinda understand that.

i just got super aggravated listening to the guy on the news with their "hearts and thoughts" talk. the refusal to pray and as if a thought helps anyone in a time of disaster. the unsaved are literally avoiding even the mention of prayer to good God for the help they actually need during a time of crisis.

forget it
we know better
we will pray for them

@Rita I am not referring to you and just realized it may have sounded that way since i wrote it under your comment. i apologize.

I know what you mean. i am just referring to our anti-God/anti-prayer media/country. prayer has become an offensive term here since they don't know what it does.

The media would lose viewers if they directed to pray perhaps. But the governor of one of the states asked for prayers so I don't know.

true- i see it "lets walk around the God part," eliminating the dependency on the Lord and an ego/self thing. They could lose followers, but they would gain the truth. But they deny the truth, so they won't anyway.

God is close to the broken hearted, the truth is what they need.

I think you’ve found an important principle that will save us a lot of aggravation in the future. This is no longer a majority Christian nation, and we have to expect lost people to act like lost people. We praying people know when to pray. Our job is to be Christ’s Church with a capital “C” in the world, and we can’t delegate our work to the World.

BTW, several faith-based organizations are soliciting funds for relief. Those who have the means and know an organization you can trust, please give.

(P.S. Fluffy, I like your “screw you, I don’t need you to tell me when to pray” attitude.)

The devastation looks awful doesn’t it……I just prayed for how everyone who survived must be feeling, to lose everyone, including loved ones, is just an awful journey to be on. Yet many around the world are facing this for so many different reasons.
It’s hard to compare to me sitting in a comfortable warm bed, within the comfort of a home ect ect.
It kind of makes me feel so detached from that reality and wondering what on earth can I do, my prayers seem so small in comparison to the needs and problems x

I'm not in a financial position to give anything right now but some good suggestions there, and I'm also far from it, but I would say that when we are in the place of being unable to do what you would want to do, you are already helping by asking God in prayer. It seems small, but others wont. We just have to trust Him.

With respect however, do we need to tell God what to do? do we need to advise him?
If Jesus is Lord, who is the servant? Does the servant tell the Lord or the Lord tell the servant?
Are we the Lord or are we the servant?
What is the role of the servant?

This is confusing. Are you of the belief that we shouldn't pray or talk to God, or enquire of Him?
