The scriptures shows they are separate and distinct, don't see any reason to doubt.
The scriptures show Satan, is the devil, the dragon, and the serpent. These are merely roles Satan plays when executing his plans. The antichrist is Satan, it is the role he plays when he is on earth claiming to be the messiah.

When Christ returns the role will extinguished.

Satan is the one behind the antichrist and the antichrist's global kingdom. Those are the three depicted above.
They are different aspects of evil, each one of the spirits will do a work that spreads across the world and comes from and supported by the dragon or devil, the Beast or anti Christ entity, and a false prophet which is a religious/political leader who the world follows.

Satan has his people doing his work, there is no reason to show himself till they help him deceive the whole world, and there are still enough seeing what is evil to block that.

Satans people (tares) are unable to deceive the entire world. It will take satan himself. This is shown in Revelation 13.

The first beast could not establish full control, it took the second beast (satan) with all signs and lying wonders to deceive the entire world.

True, they cant do it themselves so the 'angel of light', Satan, will show himself but this will be at the end. But he is not the second beast as you see the first beast has to give it power and also he speaks 'as a dragon' not that 'he is the dragon'.
Revelation 13:11-16 King James Version
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

No, Satan is the second beast of Revelation 13.
The scripture does not say the first beast gave him power.

Read it again friend….

3And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast:

The second beast (Satan) healed the first beast and gave power to the first beast.

Notice what it says
Revelation 13:2
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

And the Bible text did not have seperations but was given them to make it easire to read and so you see right before that who the devil is..

Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Indeed…. So the first beast was wounded …
Who healed the wound?

Again I agree, there is a double witness to Revelation 12:9

Revelation 20
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

Now, history tells us the time when the beast received the deadly wound so we look at the timeline to it.

'Vigilius… ascended the papal chair in 538 A.D. under the military protection of Belisarius.” -History of the Christian Church, Vol. 3, p. 327.

While the Papacy was already in existence with the first pope being Constantine in 313 AD, it was in 538 AD, after the overthrow of the last horn, the Ostrogoths, that he received full power of the state with military protection, making it an independent religious/political state.
After the overthrow of the Ostrogoths, the papacy began its reign under Emperor Justinian’s decree with military protection. So the pope received absolute power without interference from anyone in the year 538 A.D, so you add 1260 years to that date and it shows you when the Papacy (Beast) received the deadly wound.

“In 1798 General Berthier made his entrance into Rome, abolished the papal government, and established a secular one.” –Encyclopedia Britannica 1941 edition.

The papacy was “wounded” of its powers when in 1798 Napoleon’s General Berthier took him captive, and his wound was a wound that appeared "deadly" because soon after the pope dies in prison not in power, and the world thought the Papacy was gone, over, done with.

But then we have what Revelation 13:3 says…

“… and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.”

And as we see today, the Pope and its Vatican government are alive and well today, and why? Because as prophecy said, the deadly wound was healed. History shows us how in 1929 the Italian government once again recognized Vatican City as an independent religious-political state, and it was not done in secret.

“From 11 0’clock this morning there was another sovereign independent state in the world… the sovereign independent state of Vatican City came into existence.” –New York Times, July 7, 1929.

The Pope was again seated as ruler with full power, which are in play, and allowed the healing of the wound of this religious-political entity...

“Mussolini and (Cardinal) Gaspari sign historic Roman pact. The Roman question of tonight was a thing of the past, and the Vatican was at peace with Italy… In affixing the autographs to the memorable document healing the wound of many years, extreme cordiality was displayed on both sides.” –The San Francisco Chronicle. Feb. 11, 1929.

So now look at the prophecy which in Revelation 17:8 says that this beast is one that was, is not, yet is. That’s exactly what happened...

The Beast…

…that was: The Papacy with his Roman church began to reign in full power in 528 A.D. and continued until 1798 A.D. when Napoleon’s General Berthier took the pope captive and abolished the Vatican government.

…and is not: Between 1798 until 1929 when the Pope was re-seated, the papacy was non-existent.

…yet is: From 1929 until the very present day, Vatican City and the Pope’s of Rome have been once again in full power and it has been a Church and State ever since, and in fact telling the nations what they should do as we see in the news.

Now, lets look to see what is given to us on the antichrist..

1 John 4:3
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

The antichrist has to deny Jesus came in the flesh. Let’s look up the Greek word “flesh” in the Greek Lexicon and see what it can mean..

Strong’s Hebrew/Greek Concordance:

sarx: Probably from the base of G4563; flesh (as stripped of the skin), that is, (strictly) the meat of an animal (as food), or (by extension) the body (as opposed to the soul (or spirit), or as the symbol of what is external, or as the means of kindred, or (by implication) human nature (with its frailties (physically or morally) and passions), or (specifically) a human being (as such): – carnal (-ly, + -ly minded), flesh ([-ly]).

Thayer’s Greek Lexicon:

Thayer Definition:
1) flesh (the soft substance of the living body, which covers the bones and is permeated with blood) of both man and beasts

2) the body 2a) the body of a man 2b) used of natural or physical origin, generation or relationship 2b1) born of natural generation 2c) the sensuous nature of man, “the animal nature” 2c1) without any suggestion of depravity 2c2) the animal nature with cravings which incite to sin 2c3) the physical nature of man as subject to suffering

3) a living creature (because possessed of a body of flesh) whether man or beast

4) the flesh, denotes mere human nature, the earthly nature of man apart from divine influence, and therefore prone to sin and opposed to God

So what is our human nature, what are all human beings guilty of according to the bible. They are all guilty of sin, they have the propensity or that which opposes God. The bible teaches that although Jesus never sinned, he became sin for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Jesus came through the line of David, and we see what David said...

Psalm 51:5
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

This means that the whole line of David was a lineage individuals with a nature to sin, including Jesus. This is how Jesus, being God, could be tempted to sin as we see in the wilderness with the devil, Because he became man, and being made into a man he had the same human nature as man, the ability to sin. But yet He didnt sin...

So, how does the Roman Catholic Church teach that Jesus did not come in the flesh (human nature)? Well when they teach that the Virgin Mary was sinless at her conception of the baby Jesus, they in essence teach that Jesus has not come in the flesh, because Jesus came through her lineage, and as David had a nature to sin, she also had a nature to sin. Here is from the Catechism:

491. “Through the centuries the Church has become ever more aware that Mary, ‘full of grace’ through God, [Lk 1:28 .] was redeemed from the moment of her conception. That is what the dogma of the Immaculate Conception confesses, as Pope Pius IX proclaimed in 1854: The most Blessed Virgin Mary was, from the first moment of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege of almighty God and by virtue of the merits of JESUS Christ, Saviour of the human race, preserved immune from all stain of original sin. -Pius IX, Ineffabilis Deus (1854): DS 2803.

To say that Jesus came into the world this way, born of a virgin who was not of sinful “flesh” as we are all in our human nature, is to say he did not come in the “flesh” of sinful nature because he came through her lineage. That is the spirit of antichrist....

No, Satan is the second beast of Revelation 13.
The scripture does not say the first beast gave him power.

Well here is a good study to go over...
'It primarily refers to a being who attempts to usurp the role of Jesus by illegally appropriating His functions. It could also designate the systems used by him to work implicitly or explicitly “against” Christ. This title reveals the two most important characteristics of the antichrist: He deceives by pretending to be the Christ, and he oppresses or persecutes God’s people in his conflict against Christ.

1. Use of the Term: The title “the antichrist” (Greek, ho antichristos) is found exclusively in the New Testament letters of John. First, according to John, the spirit of the antichrist is active through false teachers (1 John 2:18, 22), thus suggesting that the antichrist will work from within Christianity. The title itself presupposes that we are dealing with a corruption of the Christian faith. The antichrist is against the truth as revealed in Jesus, replacing it with his own understanding of Jesus (verse 22; 2 John 7).

Second, the coming of the antichrist was predicted in apostolic teachings. John wrote, “As you have heard that the antichrist is coming . . .” (1 John 2:18). Believers were instructed about this significant threat to their commitment to Jesus.

Third, the antichrist could manifest himself through human systems or instrumentalities: “Even now many antichrists have come” (1 John 2:18). These individuals are not, properly speaking “the antichrist,” but they have the “spirit of the antichrist,” that is, the same mindset. They are his instruments (chap. 4:3). They are historical expressions of the antichrist within the church, and as such they could be described as being manifestations of “the antichrist” (chap. 2:22; 2 John 7).

2. The Person of the Antichrist:The individual called by John the “antichrist” is mentioned in other places in the Bible. Originally he was a heavenly being, a cherub, who rebelled against God and initiated a cosmic conflict (Eze. 28:14-16; Rev. 12:7). He was indeed an anti-God power, therefore the antichrist, who wanted to make himself “like the Most High” (Isa. 14:13). His ultimate goal was to occupy the place that exclusively belongs to God. He questioned and attacked God’s character in order to justify his actions. He was expelled from heaven and, after the fall of Adam and Eve, made this planet his base of operations.

Daniel dealt with the antichrist using symbols representing a historical power that, after the fall of Pagan Rome, united church and state, changed God’s law (Dan. 7:25), persecuted God’s people, spoke against God (chap. 11:36), and usurped the priestly work of Christ (chap. 8:11). This clearly describes the spirit and work of the antichrist within history.

3. Personal Apparition of the Antichrist: The New Testament predicts the presence of apostasy within the Christian church (2 Thess. 2:3, 4), and considered it a manifestation of the spirit of the antichrist. According to the book of Revelation, apostasy will reach universal dimensions and will be accompanied by the coming of the antichrist in person. Revelation announces the formation of a global coalition under the leadership of demons (Rev. 16:13, 14), accompanied by miracles and signs, that will reach its climax in the coming of the antichrist, described by John as fire coming “down from heaven to earth in full view of men” (chap. 13:13; cf. 1 Kings 18:20-39). Paul wrote about “the coming [parousia] of the lawless one,” using the same term he employed when referring to the “coming [parousia]” of Christ (1 Thess. 2:8, 9). The antichrist will try to imitate the Second Coming of Christ.

This powerful apparition of the antichrist will deceive the inhabitants of earth. They will worship Satan (the antichrist), and the religious-political systems that support him (Rev. 13:4). The antichrist will launch a war to exterminate God’s people (chap. 13:15-17), but they will find safety in the Lord (chap. 17:16), not in human armaments. Their mission is to proclaim the eternal gospel of salvation and unmask the antichrist (chap. 14:6-12). Christ will finally deliver them and destroy the antichrist....'

Could Emmanuel Macron be the Antichrist?

"Scripture prophesies that the Antichrist, also known as the man of lawlessness, will arise from Europe with the intent to deceive and dominate the world near the time of Christ’s return. With notable figures such as Pope Francis and Vladimir Putin speculated to play a role in the Tribulation hour[1][2], and the lateness of the hour[3], it is plausible that the Antichrist-to-be is currently alive on Earth, possibly even someone well-known.

In recent times, many have speculated about the identity of the coming Antichrist. While popular figures such as Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and Jared Kushner have been suggested, they do not meet the necessary criteria for this role. However, Emmanuel Macron, who became President of France on May 14th, 2017, has attracted considerable attention as a potential end-times figure because many of his characteristics align with those expected of the Antichrist."
And where is Rome if not there..

It is quite frankly astonishing that people cannot see beyond their short sighted prejudices to simply accept what scripture says. Papal Rome has already met every single criteria to be identified as the Antichrist...people have been told...it has been explained...but they still want to cleave tightly to their cherished opinions and beliefs, and look elsewhere.
They gaze intently toward the distant horizon searching for an anti Christian monster to attack the church and everything it stands for, and at the same time chat amiably with the real Antichrist learning over the back fence inviting them to a barbecue.
Having abandoned scripture as the basis for truth, and ignore the only one who can truly save them, Protestantism is now in the process of wooing the state and asking the state for the power it lacks, and the state is only too happy to oblige. Little do they realise however that by uniting with the state, they are creating an image to the beast/Antichrist and will in short time form a confederation with the Antichrist themselves and persecute the minority refusing to worship the image they have set up.
At least they recognise they need power. But they need spiritual power and insight... Not the political power they presently crave.

You don't realize that you are doing exactly that yourself. First, antichrist is a person. John said there were many AC's and also spoke of a singular AC that was yet to come. All of them were people. You are changing AC from a person to the RCC but not based on scripture but based solely on "cherished opinions and beliefs".

Demonizing other Christians is a common tactic of the enemy which sadly controls most if not all denominations. Most seek to demonize the others, claiming themselves to be the one true church/people of God.

Hi Hobie, you are part way there. The prefix "anti" meaning against and/or instead of - or both. In the case of the Anti- Christ, both.

Now for the part you are missing... the Christ. note: you have been quoting from the apostle John. So for let's look at what is in
the gospel of John.

John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

Christ = Messiah

The Jewish concept of the Messiah is a special coming King of Israel, descended from King David - he has to be Jew. Is the pope a Jew ? No.

Jesus, the true messiah.

John 12:12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.

John 5;43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. i.e. the Antichrist.

The person who becomes the Antichrist does so by being anointed the King of Israel thought-to-be messiah by the Jews . The pope does not fit.

Are the Jews looking for their messiah, someone other than Jesus, to be anointed the King of Israel ? Yes they are. And it will happen right after the Gog/Magog event of Ezekiel 39.

The Antichrist will then confirm the Mt. Sinai covenant for the 7 years cycle in Deuteronomy 31:9-13 - by having the law read to the nation of Israel from the temple mount - freed up because of the Gog/Magog event from Muslim control. And the Jews will begin building their next temple.

the Ezekiel 38-39 Gog/Magog event (followed by 7 years verses 9-10 )
the great tribulation (the last 1335 days of those 7 years)
the Armageddon event (verses 17-20)
the Second Coming of Jesus (verses 21-29, to end the great tribulation)
the 1000 year millennium (the 1000 year reign of Jesus, on this present earth, Revelation 20:4)
Satan's short period to once again deceive the nations (Revelation 20:7-10)

Papal Rome has already met every single criteria to be identified as the Antichrist
The person who becomes the Antichrist does so by being anointed the King of Israel thought-to-be messiah by the Jews . The pope does not fit.

Also being the Antichrist is one of five stages the person goes through on the way to his demise of being cast alive into the lake of fire.

stage 1 as the little horn
stage 2 as the prince who shall come
stage 3 as the Antichrist
stage 4 as the revealed man of sin
stage 5 as the beast-king
