Lady Crosswalk's reference:
Zech 14:
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the mount of Olives shall be cleft in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, [and there shall be] a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
Earburner's reply:
Did not Jesus "stand" on the Mt. Of Olives, during His first appearance?
Did not Jesus say in Luke 12[51] Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
Is not Israel divided between the North and the South?
.
Symbolically, Israel was known as "The mountain of the Lord".
Jesus Himself was that "stone" that was "cut out" of THAT mountain!
Dan. 2[34] Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
[45] Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the MOUNTAIN without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
Zech. 14:4 has been fulfilled.
