Yes, I went to the library and found my name written in it. Whew, was I relieved!can you say me it
The book of the living and the book of life are not the same book.Book of the Living
The first mention of a "book" in which names were retained or blotted out, is found in Exodus 32:33 - the first of six mentions in the OT.
The Hebrew word translated "book" is sepher, which means "take account of, to reckon." There are several interesting points here to examine.
First; it is not "Christ’s" book but God’s record of each person’s worth.
Second, there is no mention of when or how the names are added or subtracted, only that God has such a record and that He reserves the right to blot out the names of those who sin against Him.
It seems to be that the names of all people are recorded in the Book from birth. Whether those names remain in the Book is dependent on the choices of action each of us are confronted with making, as we go thru life. The concern, then, is not how to get our names in the book, but how to prevent our names from being erased from the book.
Psalm 69:22-28.....Let Your indignation fall upon them....let them be blotted out from the Book of the Living, remove them from the list of the innocent.
This is a good illustration of the positive and negative aspects associated with being in the book of the Source of Life. Those whose names are in the Book will gain entry to the Kingdom at His appearing, so our prime concern should be to keep our names in the Book of Life.
Daniel 12:1-3 says that entry into the kingdom is a blessing for those whose names are in the book - nothing is said about heaven. In Philippians 4:3, Paul confirmed that the names of those labouring with him were still written in the book of life.
All the other scriptures pertaining to the book of life are in Revelation and these verses reinforce the message in the OT, updated in the light of Jesus’ teachings.
In Revelation 3:5, Jesus said: "He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father..." He does not say He would add the names to the book of life. He simply affirmed that he would not blot them out.
He also said that he will acknowledge their names before the Father. What a promise! The message here in Revelation is the same as the one delivered by David and Daniel: The Overcomers will be the ones who actually enter the kingdom of God. The emphasis here is on the positive aspects for those who have believed in faith and trust in Jesus- and He said that His Words were not His but those of His Father.
This verse clearly implies that there is a definite possibility that names can be erased, or blotted out of the book through disobedience to the Lord’s Words.
So; to keep our names in the Book of Life requires us to be an Overcomer. The question then becomes - how do I become an overcomer? An overcomer of what?
Revelation 21:27 But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
The Book belongs to God. Those entered into it have embraced the testimony of the Life of the Lamb. Those who follow the teachings found in the Life and Words of the Son are to live as He lived - overcoming the temptation of the world by being righteous, even as He is. Ref: HaRold
I disagree. The book of the living and the book of life are not the same book.
The book of the living was a literal record book for the nation of Israel. The book of life is a record of all of the elect.I disagree.
Perhaps you could explain the difference?
Excellent exposition. I personally, would have to look into it more just to verify in my own mind, every point that you established. But, all the same, very thorough and helpful. Great job!Book of the Living

Now, that is funny!!!Yes, I went to the library and found my name written in it. Whew, was I relieved!
You have no scripture for this opinion. The book of the living was a literal record book for the nation of Israel. The book of life is a record of all of the elect.
You have no scripture for this opinion.
God has one Book, it is for the names of everyone who believes in Him and keeps His Commandments. It was never just for Israel, Abraham, Noah, etc, were not Israelites and ethnicity is of no consequence for. we Christians today.
This theory is wrong, you totally fail to show any scriptural support for any removal from the earth.Inanutshell, the Prepared ARE those Converted IN Christ, AND whose Names ARE in the Lambs Book of Life, Wholly Prepared for an unknown day and hour The Lord is in the Clouds prepared to call up to Him, that which belongs to Him.
So WHEN the day and hour is at hand for the Great Tribulation to Commence...Those IN Christ, Shall be Lifted UP ABOVE the Face of the Earth...To the Clouds...accounted out of Harms Way, and With their Lord God; while HE comences His Wrath UPON THOSE not yet, or who will never be MADE Whole...
Body, soul, spirit.
That Lifting UP Before the Great Tribulation Begins...applies exclusively to Christ's Church.
This theory is wrong, you totally fail to show any scriptural support for any removal from the earth. Why do you call something Wrong, because you lack having discovered the Truth in Scripture?
I Full well know on multiple threads on this forum multiple verses have been quoted in support of those IN Christ not subject to Wrath and they being lifted up...
Strange you are not aquaintrd with those verses.
We WILL be tested; 1 Peter 4:12, 1 Corinthians 3:11-15, +
We will remain on earth, fulfilling our destiny as His witnesses and His Light to the nations.
And where is your Scriptural Support of the "TIME" of one being Tried by Fire?
Your Listed Scriptural References say nothing About the Time...or Remaining on Earth, only that there shall be a trying of fire.
1 Peter 4:
[12] Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
1 Cor 3:
[11] For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
[12] Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
[13] Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
[14] If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
[15] If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Glory to God,
Taken

The terrible Day of the Lord's fiery wrath is the Day that no one knows. Matthew 24:36-41
However we can know the season from the many indications the Bible gives us. Plainly; we are now very close to that time.
Deuteronomy 32:22 says God will kindle a fire that will burn the earth in judgment and punishment.Gods POWER is likened to the POWER of FIRE.
Deuteronomy 32:22 says God will kindle a fire that will burn the earth in judgment and punishment.
Over 70 other prophesies also describe literal fire sent by the Lord. Isaiah 66:15-17, 2 Peter 3:7, +
Here is Amos's description of this; the Sixth Seal world wide disaster:
Amos 5:8-9 He that made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns deep darkness into dawn and darkens day into night. He who summons the waters of the sea and pours them over the earth: Y’hovah is His Name. He makes destruction flash forth upon strongholds.
Amos 5:16-20 Calamity and misfortune will come to those who long for the Day of the Lord. What will that Day mean for you? It will be a Day of darkness, not light, it will be as when someone runs from a lion only to be confronted by a bear! Or to be bitten by a snake in one’s own house! The Day of the Lord will indeed be pitch black, without any ray of light.
Amos 8:7-10 The Lord has sworn by the arrogance of Jacob, I shall not forget their sin and apostasy. Will not the land quake because of this? Will not all who live in it mourn? The whole earth will surge and seeth like the Nile, then subside like the river of Egypt. On that Day, I will darken the world at noon time, all will mourn and lament on that bitter Day. Ref: REB, CJB.
‘those who long for the Day of the Lord’. ‘long for, or want’, may be better translated as: ‘bring on, or cause to happen’. This applies to the enemies of the Lord, as they strive to impose their political and religious agendas onto the world; their actions will ‘call forth His wrath’. Deut. 32:22 & 34-35, Ezekiel 7:14, Isaiah 24:1
‘Calamity and misfortune will come to them’. The Lord will ‘send fire’, Amos 1:4,7,10,12,14. Amos 2:2 & 5 I shall send fire on Judah, fire to consume the palaces of Jerusalem. That is: the State of Israel. But note that in Amos 2:6-16, all Israel, the Western nations, will be punished and their military destroyed. ‘He makes destruction flash forth onto the strongholds’. A Coronal Mass Ejection from the sun will literally fulfil all the prophesies of this Day: Isaiah 30:25-28, Jeremiah 50:22-23, Hosea 2:18, Micah 5:10-11, Zephaniah 1:16, Jeremiah 50:27
‘The whole earth will surge and subside, like the Nile’. Massive, worldwide earthquakes will be caused by the microwave penetration of the earth’s crust by this CME. Isaiah 24:18-19, Jeremiah 4:23-24, Revelation 6:14
‘He pours the waters of the sea over the earth’, As the earth ‘reels and shakes’, and is ‘moved from its place’, Isaiah 13:13, the lakes and oceans will move violently from side to side, causing huge tsunamis, that will engulf and devastate all the low-lying areas worldwide. Amos 9:6, Nahum 1:8, Jeremiah 51:42
‘The Day of the Lord, will be pitch black, at noontime’. Zephaniah 2:4 also mentions noon day as the time of this terrible event. However the first sign we will see will be a flash of bright light, Isaiah 30:26, Job 36:32, Psalms 18:14. Then the great mass of superheated hydrogen plasma will obscure the sun, as it races toward earth. Isaiah 50:3, Ezekiel 32:7-8, Joel 2:1-2
‘Jacob’s arrogant and apostate descendants’. They are the House of Judah – the Jewish people, and the House of Israel – the Western nations; they will all be judged on that Day. Ezekiel 21:1-16, Zechariah 13:7-9, Hosea 7:10, Hosea 8:14, Isaiah 1:25, 2 Peter 3:10, 2 Thess. 1:8
The Lord WILL destroy with fire, but we baptize with water.Ok.
The Lord can destroy with Fire or Baptise with Fire.
The Lord WILL destroy with fire, but we baptize with water.
Isaiah 26:20-21....
Go, My people, withdraw for a little while, until the Lords wrath has passed. The Lord is coming to punish the wicked and apostate peoples of the earth.
Isaiah 27:1 On that Day, the Lord will punish with His powerful sword Leviathan, that twisting serpent.
Isaiah 27:2-5 On that day, sing of the fruitful vineyard – I the Lord am it’s keeper. I tend it constantly, but I get no fruit from it. If only it were briars and thorns, then I would not hesitate to destroy it. But if they [Israelites, now every faithful Christian person] come to Me for refuge, I will let them make peace with Me.
Isaiah 27:6 In time to come, Jacobs posterity will prosper and Israel will flourish. They will fill the whole earth with fruit. Matthew 21:43
Isaiah27:7-9 Has the Lord struck Israel, as He has killed their enemies? The atonement for Jacob’s guilt is made by their sojourn in exile. All the idol worshipping altars and sacred poles are destroyed.
Isaiah 27:10 The fortified settlement is abandoned. Animals graze there and the trees are dead, good only for firewood.
Isaiah 27:11 For this is a people without understanding, so their Maker will not show them favour.
Isaiah 27:12 In that day, the Lord will thresh the grain from the Euphrates to the Wadi of Egypt and you, Israelites will be gathered one by one. On that Day, a great trumpet will sound and those who were exiled in Assyria and Egypt will come to worship the Lord in Jerusalem.

Isaiah 66:18b-21, Zechariah 9:14-17
The next prophesied event will be the Sixth Seal, the Lord's Day of fiery wrath, that will change the world. So what is you point?
