@Rita I suppose in some ways caffeine is a bit like nicotine; not intended as a criticism; just how it is, really...
Yes , but then I have always drunk tea, which also has caffeine, I can go days without coffee- but not sure I could give tea up. Nicotine is more of a drug ......so I think that it is addictive in a slightly different way x

Oh Helen, I think we are all some what glum at this point. Even chatterboxes like yourself :D
This blankness with posting has been with me for a bit now too. Things seem in limbo. It's just a season.
xo
Much love to both of you .....I am kind of grateful that I have the normality of work at the moment, I think the lack of normal routine has a knock on effect mentally and can dull many things pertaining to the mind and motivation xx

@Rita Yes I know; monotony and uncertainty can dull the mind.

I guess shows the importance of daily prayer and the Scriptures, right?

I suppose our lives at present aren't much different to our live before lockdown. We used to get our groceries delivered and still do even though it takes longer to get a delivery slot. We didn't go out together very often as Ray now uses a mobility scooter and I had to go on the bus, so our outings were already down to one per week so not too hard to give up. The worse thing that affects us is not being able to spend time with our family; son, daughters, grandkids and now a great grandson who was born in February.
We consider ourselves blessed to have gardens front and back that we have been able to sit out a lot.

That's quite an achievement there, I never got to see my great grandpas or great grandmas, it sure must be a blessing to be still around here on earth to see and hear of your great grand kids being born.

Though the generations in my family are wide spread out, with some of my first cousins being way older than me, one of them even having a son, that is a few weeks older than me.

I am only 24, but if my grandpa on dad's side was still alive today he would be 104, that's a 80 year difference.

Hello everyone.
So what is the chatter today?

Today @Nancy called me and we chatted for a while and caught-up.
That was a nice start to my day. :)

We've had three days of cold and rain, so today it is nice seeing some sunshine. The rain has been good for turning our grass green and more leaves are now on the trees! Yay!

I am guessing that for @Rita and @Pearl the roses are in bud?
If my memory doesn't deceive me by June all the roses are out?

Dave says that he saw his first mosquito today...so at least the mosquitoes believe that summer is on its way. haha!!

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello here and hope you are all doing well?

Take care....Helen

My new avatar is saying that I am more interested in fellow-shipping than trying to 'make a point'. I've been on this forum many many years and 'made my point' many times over. :)

The bottom line for me is...I no longer care who has got the last word on bible prophesy ...or which bible translation is the best...especially if they have not yet seen a true vision of the Father Heart of God.

Without 'seeing Father' then all the rest is just a lot of hot air and lifeless repetitive words..

Over to you...

Hi Helen funny you say that as I was just thinking that there is a lot of same old topics rehashed and very little that is original, uplifting and worth joining in. I like your new avatar. I may try to find a similar one.

Awesome! We have had decent rain and have several flowers coming up, along with the ones my niece planted. The apple blossom trees are still holding on but, they only last for about a week before all those beautiful petals blow off. Our grass is nice and green, I've had to mow it 3 times already! But, I do enjoy doing it.
The rose bushes in my front and back are starting to come up too!

We have had in the upper 70's for several days and the forecast is looking very nice! Cannot wait to get out there on that beautiful Lake God created, nothing like it!

I have not seen mosquitoes but definitely have seen several bees and a fly got into the house a couple days ago.

I hope you all had something good happen today :)

Yes some of the roses are in bloom Helen xx
I have a messy garden but one rose plant is near my patio - it’s called ‘ Pilgrim ‘ and my eldest son brought it for me xx
My mums roses never bloom until June, and It’s around about the time she died, I just remember the roses every year now - my dads partner wanted to get rid of them because they are not healthy anymore ( she doesn’t live with dad ) any way I said ‘ no , all the while they flower they will remain, they were my mums and she loved them ‘. xx

I agree with you. If a plant continues to live and flower then I allow it to live, it has 'earned' that right. Do you cut them right down in the Autumn , maybe they will improve with a heavy pruning. That's what God does with us LOL

I have perennial sweet peas ...they are now almost 30 years old.
They used to be many many colours and pretty , and smell glorious .
Now they still come every year and make many babies, BUT they no longer smell, and the only colours are pale pink and white...no more blues or colours...but I keep them along the wall, they are so faithful and come back year after year. They have earned the right to life!!

( I guess after 30 yrs they have reverted to being wild ones again)

I am not much a gardener , but I do cut them back, it’s the leaves that don’t look good- the flowers are beautiful xx

Three cheers for the Bees, I always get excited when I see a big furry bumble bee, they seem to be less and less these years and just small bees instead , but I still like them , they say it is the small bees that have killed off the bumble bees :oops:

Dave has used the weed-eater on the dandelions but not the mower yet....and he 'may' mow now the rain has been it may have grown. Our mower is now 20 years old...we hope it starts faithfully as in other years.
When he came home from the dog walk this morning he said that Stormy had a mosquito 'as big as a house' on her back which he knocked off. LOL

Such is our exciting life ... :D

Im sure that we are all bummed about @Willie T it is so sad. Im sorry that his wife won't be updating us on his progress. :(
I can't wait to see his face back on these boards.

Hope everyone is doing well....and that everyone 'seems' to have come through the worst of the Covid thing.
We still are not "out and about" yet, and I still wear a mask when going on...that may be a thing that will be with us in any public place from now onward!!?

Just popped in here to say hello.

Hi Helen,
Yes really sad about Willie xx
Over here we are just waiting to see if the number of cases go up since the lockdown started to lift. Ordinary shops can open in a few weeks and some school children go back on Monday. The news is dominated my Dominique Cummings, an MP that broke the lockdown rules ( for some justified reasons ) everyone is calling for the Prime minister to fire him, but Boris is reluctant to do so. It’s a bit of a tricky one.
My brother was due to come over from Germany in mid July, that’s now in jeapody as Boris has imposed a two week isolation clause for anyone coming into the country !
We are enjoying some beautiful weather at the moment.. work has been hard going, ut we are all ok there.
Studying Nehemiah at the moment, using the same book H2S recommended x
