Oh, I see now! I'm dealing with Catholicism! Sorry to say my friend, we live in 2 different worlds when it comes to faith in Christ.

We will share very little in common, I'm sorry to say!

Dear Charlie,

Well at least we share faith in Christ.
And for that i do rejoice!

You too! Are welcome to come to the wedding feast of the Lamb of God!

Peace be with you!

That's the problem, they can't see the forest for the trees! Spiritual baptism escapes them, it's hidden from them in the water!
Its no different than circumcision in the OT. They could not see the spiritual aspect of what the physical work of cleansing represented. So they tried to add it to grace. and Paul called it a false gospel

That's exactly right! The truth if it's ever been told!
Satan has the same lie, just uses a different work, sadly people fall for it today they did not learn from the mistake of the jews, just shows how powerful satan as as a deceiver and how week we are people are to discern a lie from the truth,

Because one receives the Holy Spirit when one is baptised, of course.

Peace!

Afraid not PJ! You are having difficulty understanding what Peter said in Acts 2!

Let's see what Paul said about it!

Eph. 1:13
"In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,"

Okay, I'm feeling playful tonight.. can we exchange questions?

When did the scales fall from Paul's eyes?

Pax et Bonum!

Amen

Water gets us wet.

Spirit gets us saved

Jesus will baptize everyone We better be baptized in the spirit. or we will be baptized in fire. John tried to warn us this when he came baptizing in water.

That's the problem, they can't see the forest for the trees! Spiritual baptism escapes them, it's hidden from them in the water!

According to Acts of the Apostles 2:38-39, baptism in the Spirit is provided for through baptism in water as a confession of Jesus before men in identifying with Him in His death, burial, and resurrection as someone who is seeking salvation through the Cross.

Yes, there is a Cross-accepting element to being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth for the remission of sins.

You will be identifying with Jesus in His death on the Cross, His burial, and His resurrection; and this will place you in a position of persecution (which is very much having to do with the Cross) over the fact that you have now identified with Jesus Christ in a very profound way.

and what then must I do to go to heaven and avoid hell?

Rom. 10:9-10

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

No water needed!

Brother,
then every single faithful Catholic is saved!

So you needn't worry about us ;)

Christ IS risen!
Alleluia!

Not if they add water baptism as necessary for salvation along with grace through faith in Christ!

The blood of Christ doesn't need water to save, I've just shown you that!

To say it does is a slap in the face of God, you are declaring His Son's death on the cross wasn't enough!
