When the Fig Tree Blossoms=Israel reborn!

Who in the church is preparing for the great revival prophesied for Israel? God has not forgotten them, nor has he replaced them with the Church as some preachers suggest. He has made an everlasting covenant with Israel – with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants. Covenants are not meant to be broken; a disciple of Christ who expects God to go back on his word has completely misunderstood his character! If Israel is cut off from God because of unfaithfulness, what chance has the Church with all her backsliding over the centuries – especially in terms of persecution of the Jewish people? No, God will never reject his chosen ones. “Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done,” declares the Lord. (Jer 31.37)

Even the New Covenant spoken of by Jeremiah is not addressed particularly to the Church, as you might think from the context in which it is used over Christmas. No, it is with Israel that the Lord promised a new covenant, when he will put his law in their minds and write it on their hearts – and they will all know him. (Jer 31.31-34) Earlier in the same chapter, he declares his “everlasting love” with his chosen people whom he vows to restore – to their land, which would once more become fruitful, and to their Lord, who says: “I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.” (v13)

If only the Church would take a closer look at Israel, they would be so much better informed and live with much greater hope, for the Jewish state is a mighty testament to our God’s great faithfulness and love. He entrusted the Jews with his word so that they could be a light to the Gentiles (Isaiah 49.6), but they broke his covenant, forsook his laws and turned to idols instead. Yet, just as the prophet Hosea kept faith with his adulterous wife, he never stopped loving them.

He brought them back to the Promised Land from every corner of the globe in perfect fulfilment of his word. Now almost half of world Jewry lives in re-born Israel, and more keep coming as anti-Semitism rears its ugly head once more in the nations to which they were dispersed for so long.

The Lord didn’t wait until they put things right. He honoured his promise and now waits patiently for the time when “they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest” (v34). As St Paul put it, the day will come when “all Israel shall be saved” (Romans 11.26), echoing the word of Zechariah speaking of the time when they will look on him whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only child (Zech 12.10).

GIS, your enthusiasm is charming, and i doubt anyone is interested in dampening it, least of all me, ok, but you have been "saved" according to some guy that signed a Contract for Jesus for what, 15 or 20 minutes now, and i would say that you might keep an open mind where a lot of these concepts are concerned, ok?

yes, mainstream Christianity will mostly agree with you and assure you that you are right, but understand how that might be cause to pause and reflect. I'm sure your pastor is a decent guy, ok, but your beliefs are likely going to undergo many changes in the next few years, if you are really seeking Christ and not just some way to justify yourself, like i was.

so, to answer your Q, no one in the Church is, although many churches might be. You are Israel now, and the revival will come in you, after your falling away, assuming you ever step off that cliff (into "revival"), which hardly anyone ever does.

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!! Romans: Chapter 10 verse 9-10-13
God says==That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be Saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto Salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be Saved..........

----------

Here is an "example prayer" if you have never talked to God..........
Heavenly Father:.........
I come to you in prayer asking for the forgiveness of
my Sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my
heart that Jesus is your Son, And that he died on the
Cross at Calvary that I might be forgiven and have
Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven. Father, I believe
that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask you right now
to come in to my life and be my personal Lord and
Savior. I repent of my Sins and will Worship you all the
day's of my Life!. Because your word is truth, I confess
with my mouth that I am Born Again and Cleansed
by the Blood of Jesus! In Jesus Name, Amen

Gismys, there are more and more people now who no longer just accept what they are told. Preachers who spout the doctrines they were taught at the Bible colleges and Seminaries, are being questioned as people read what the Bible actually says.
Your precious doctrines of a rapture to heaven has to have a separate Israel for it to work. But the Bible refutes that and Jesus Himself says anyone going to heaven is impossible: John 3:13 Where I go you cannot come: John 7:34

Who are the legitimate heirs of God’s promises? It isn’t those who claim to be descendants of Jacob, such as the citizens of the modern State of Israel, or the many people groups who assert they are the ‘lost tribes’, etc.
The true Israelites of God are those individuals who meet the Covenant conditions, who by belief in God and in their moral and ethical behaviour, prove they belong to Him. 1 Peter 2:9-10

It was always possible for foreigners to join Israel, therefore parentage and actual descent is irrelevant. Leviticus 19:3-34, Isaiah 56:1-8. Jesus said: Other sheep I must gather….John 19:16 and the Apostles made it clear that it is only by righteousness and faith that anyone is counted into the House of Israel.
Romans 9:6-9, Galatians 3:26-29, Ephesians 2:11-18

So to determine who qualifies as an Israelite person of God, we know:

1/ They cannot be determined by natural descent from Abraham, or more specifically, from Jacob. There are no proofs of ancestry extant today.

2/ They cannot become an Israelite by conversion to Judaism.

3/ Any person can become an Israelite of God by faith in Him, obedience to His Laws and the acceptance of the atoning sacrifice of Jesus. John 3:16-17

Jesus is the ‘root and tree trunk’ of Israel. Paul said that the promises made to Abraham were to one Person and they are all ‘yes’ in Christ. Galatians 3:16, 2 Cor. 1:20
So now all we Christians, in Christ as His friends and working with Him, are now the branches of the ‘olive tree’ of the true Israel. WE are all true born again people from every tribe, race, nation and language. Romans 2:28-29, Revelation 5:9-10, Isaiah 66:18

This truth that all righteous Christians are the Israel of God, Galatians 6:16, destroys the false ‘rapture to heaven’ theory. We will never go to live in heaven, but eventually heaven comes down to earth. Revelation 20:4
The prophesies about Judah, the Jewish people, are clear: only a remnant will survive. Isaiah 6:13, Luke 19:27 They have set up their own religion and refuse to acknowledge Jesus. Romans 10:1-4

It will be all the true, righteous Christian people that will inherit the holy Land and they are the people who will display God’s glory and be His witnesses to the nations, in the last few years before Jesus Returns. Ezekiel 39:21-29, Isaiah 66:18-21, Isaiah 49:8-13, Ephesians 1:11

As every one on earth, after the 100 generations + since 2000 BC, has some of Abrahams genes, are you saying that every person alive today are His chosen people?
Look at John 15:18 and 1 Peter 2:9-10 and see who the chosen people of God actually are.

1 Peter 2:9-10 doesn't negate Israel, just differentiates a group. Chosen is not necessarily to be confused with salvation. One can be chosen and be such for a different purpose. The Assyrians were chosen as were the Medes/Persians and later the Babylonians. Cyrus of the Babylonians was chosen/anointed (Isaiah 44-45). In the same passages, Cyrus is chosen as a shepherd and Israel is called chosen and elect. Both chosen and yet distinct.

In our present time, one group can be chosen as the bride of the Messiah (2 Corinthians 11:2), and another group as the wife of God (Isaiah 54) which God divorced and will be returned to union with her husband (Hosea 2). And God knows who His wife is, so an imposter that tries to pass itself off as the wife is fooling itself (Revelation 2:9 & 3:9). If one of those that are in the group of the wife of God comes to faith in the Messiah, they then become part of the bride of Messiah, where physical distinctions no longer are relevant (Galatians 3:28).

The problem always seem to stem from some folks confusing the wife and the bride.

They are one and the same. Your theory has no substance, as there is only one people of God. Ephesians 4:4-6
The wife, ancient Israel, is now absorbed into the nations, but it is them that Jesus came to save; the House of Israel, lost to human history, but not lost to God. Amos 9:9
The Bride is now every faithful Christian person, be they actual descendants of Jacob or not. Ethnicity is no longer of any value, it is the belief in God, acceptance of the sacrifice of Jesus and the keeping of His Commandments.
But in the amazing Plan of God, the majority of the faithful Christians will be descendants of the Patriarchs, so God's promises to them will be fulfilled. We Christian are the Sons of the Living God, Romans 9:24-26, to be revealed after the Lord's Day of wrath, 2 Thess 1:6-10

It is an assumption on your part that Israel was absorbed into the nations. Sure, there were those that remained in Babylon after the captivity that eventually were dispersed. But a faithful remnant of all the tribes did return and there has always been a Jewish presence in the land since. Even some of the Crusaders had contests on how many Jewish babies they could get on a sword and they killed 20,000 Jews in the great synagogue of Jerusalem when they burned it down. Sounds like a significant presence of Jewish people to me. There is history of significant Jewish communities in Jerusalem, Gaza, Ashkelon, Jaffa, Safed, and Caesarea.

Ezra called the returning remnant Jews 8 times and all Israel 40 times. Nehemiah called the remnant Jews 11 times and all Israel 22 times. It would be presumption on our part, 2400 years later, to imply that Ezra and Nehemiah had no clue who they were brining back.
