Why thank you! That blesses me. :) I feel badly about "Core Issue"--he has apparently been told to leave this site. He has a new forum/blog that he is trying to get going. He runs it under the name of "Core Issue"--I have been on there a couple of times but it seems like it is not getting off the ground. :(

Sound Christians are few and far between. The majority of Christians on line are all over the map, many hold heretical views, some knowingly some not, some are just ecumenical social christians but not born again ones, some instead of wanting to please God by sticking to the scripture they find the teachers who say what they want to hear. Those that stand for the core doctrines of Christianity and challenge the false teachings are hated and get bashed, when the false teachings are embraced , it's a sign of the times, and it's going to get steadily worse until we hear the shout. He warned us..the Lord Jesus said, they hate you because they hated me first....boy, isn't that the truth!:)

Well, may God bless you every day Lady Crosstalk for standing up for truth, even when it's unpopular!
It does seem as though the Pre-Tribulation Rapture is becoming less popular these days. Part of it is that there have been so many failed predictions. I really wish people would stop fabricating their fanciful date-setting (and I suspect that it is sometimes done just to make $$$) and just concentrate on living for Him each and every day in the knowledge that He WILL come to fetch the Church (that is what He said). The Father decides when Jesus will come to fetch us. But, we can pray for it (and I do every day).

It's a great way to discredit the doctrine. Stand up an endless line of false predictions until people get tired of hearing it.

I'm watching the sky!

Much love!

As Jesus told Peter Satan was trying to sift him like wheat, I believe it's the same with some of these guys but they don't know where their inspiration came from , it is only to cause chaos and make Christians not recognize the truth. People are not wise to the wiles of the enemy.

There isn't 2000 yrs of failed prophecies.
Lets talk about the false signs and wonders in the vineyard churches .....whoaa...or the scandals & false teachers in the neo charismatic, latter rain movement.

I saw a lot of failed prophecies spoken over people in the charismatic churches or events I attended.

There haven't been people predicting Jesus' return (in a rapture) "this year", ever since Calvary?

I think 2,000 years of endless failed prophecies is a bit much. LOL

And what would those be Willie?
What 2000 years of failed prophecies? None of the prophecies have failed, and none will.

Much love!

Yes--I think that is important to note. Real prophecies come to fruition in God's timing. It is unthinkable that any of God's prophecies would not come true. The way that we can know they will come true is that all of the OT prophets had some portion of their prophecies take place and the ones which have not been fulfilled will be before the End comes.

The prophecies of mere men count for nothing--they might as well be astrologers (astrologers have an extremely dismal record in predicting--last time I checked--they were batting less than pure chance--LOL).

(See the post just above this one of yours.)
Are those prophecies?

The Bible tells us that Jesus will sit on His throne of glory and will judge the nations.

I say that this will happen next Tuesday. Tuesday comes and goes. Does that mean the prophecy that Jesus will sit on His throne of glory and will judge the nations, is that now a false prophecy?

I'd say no. I'd say that my "next Tuesday" nonesense was just that, nonesense, but just the same, Jesus will sit on His throne and will judge the nations. That will happen regardless of how many people say how many times, wrongly, when it will happen.

Much love!

Hi Keraz,

What gives you this idea?

I'm not discussing academically, I hold to a pre-trib rapture view. Now, I've not wanted to get into any prophectic discussions here, for the most part, seeing how so many posters can heap so much ridicule on those they disagree with.

But just the same. What makes you think that I hold a pre-trib rapture view because I want to escape trials and testing?

BTW . . . Jesus taught . . . "lead us not into peirasmos - testings and trials and temptations. So, is there a problem with that anyway?

But seriously, that aside, why would you think this to be my motive for holding the view I hold? Could it not simply be the result of my honest and open study?Much love!
Mark
I know that we must endure until the end because Revelation 13:10, Rev 14:12, Hebrews 10:36, 1 Cor 10:13, + plainly say that. Did you miss them in your study?

It is undeniable from 1 Thessalonians 4:17, that there will be a 'rapture' of sorts. I see it as a transportation; from an earthly location, to the clouds, then to Jerusalem where those who have proved themselves worthy thru all that happens before Jesus Returns. Proved by Matthew 24:30-31.
What it isn't; is a 'rapture to heaven'.

Maybe I am one who you see as 'heaping ridicule onto rapture' believers.
I post the many Word's of Jesus where He says such a thing as people going to live in heaven is impossible. I also post in many articles, the story of what will actually happen to God's people in the end times.
Rapture believers reply in a very upset and aggrieved tone, with convoluted explanations of how I [and Jesus] are wrong.

All very unfortunate that we Christians have such opposing views on what God Plans for our future. But as there is no actual scripture that says God intends to remove His people to heaven, at any time, then that belief is questionable.
Many scriptures tell us how His 'sheep' will be gathered into the holy Land, Ezekiel 34:1-16, Isaiah 35:1-10, Micah 2:12-13, where every faithful Christian will be called the children of the Living God. Romans 9:24-26
