Lol, what other religion recognizes women as being as important as men? I would say that Christianity excels there, but unfortunately, not all Christian men during the past 2000 years got the memo that in Christ there is no male or female.... I'm not saying that the roles of men and women should be blurred, but God uses women to share the gospel . . . just as powerfully as He uses men. And that is what Jesus said we should be doing.
The female thing you know how I stand on that. Sometimes two mules in a hitch...but still side by side.

It all started waaay back in the Garden of Eden:

"To the woman he said,

“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
with painful labor you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you.”

Christianity Today calls for churches to pay reparations to black people: "Repentance is not enough"

What is the truth?

Luke 19:8 "And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold."

Zacchaeus, in his new faith, did these two things. He gave half his wealth to the poor, and if he took anything wrongfully by lying, he repaid fourfold.

The poor man may steal, but even of him it was required to restore fourfold.

The thief is the one who makes reparations. Did Jesus tell Zacchaeus to "make reparations" for what others stole? No. He said, today salvation has come to this house.

Christianity Today appears to want to hold a lot of people guilty for crimes they did not commit.

And that to effect a wealth transfer to a group that is in the process of committing crimes right now.

And to others who are not actually victims.

That's sad!

They only use the name Christian, they are Satan lovers as with all liberals

The white man did not capture slaves in Africa. Africans had already done that for them. Africans were the ones who captured their own people to sell to slave traders who arrived in port.

It was also Black man who owned slaves and the first slave owner in the colonies was a black man.

Is it a crime to destroy public landmarks and statues? Should we bow to black lives matter? Do they burn, destroy, assault, murder, and rape to threaten us or impress us that their cause is true and just? Should we bow to their wishes and rename sites and spend our time apologizing? Who is it that needs to apologize?

A story I am calling The Miller and his Grandson and the donkey.

both walking.jpg

One day an old man and his grandson were walking a donkey to the market to sell it.

As they walked along the road they came acrossed three ladies that laughed at them. "How silly!” Yelled one, "Why walk when they have a donkey to ride? “The smartest one of the bunch is the donkey." Said another

both walking.jpg

The old man did not like the criticism, so he climbed onto the donkey and his grandson led him down the road…that is until they met some old women and they began to scold him. “One said to the old man, “You are a terrible man for making the young boy walk!”

grandfather.jpg

So the old man got off the donkey, helped his grandson onto the donkey and led it down the road…until they came to some young men and they got after the boy. “What kind of awful child are you, riding in comfort while that poor old man has to walk.”

the boy.jpeg

So the old man climbed back onto the donkey with his grandson and the two of them rode the donkey down the road…until another group of people expressed their outrage. “That’s animal cruelty! That poor little donkey shouldn’t have to carry two people.”

Frustrated the grandfather and his grandson decided to carry the donkey.

But no matter what they did no one was happy and still the people they passed continued to laugh and mock them. So they hurried along to get into town. Frustrated and tired they came to a bridge but as they crossed it they tripped and the donkey fell into the river. With its legs tied it could not swim so it drowned. At which point they had no donkey to sell.

The moral to the story:
Everyone has thoughts and feelings that are personal to them. It is wrong to think that the world should conform to your thoughts and feelings.

Likewise; You cannot please everyone. Your own thoughts and feelings are important to you. Do what you think is right but attempting to make changes to accommodate everyone’s feelings will end in failure and make things worse because there is no end to chasing other people’s feelings.

Greasing the wheel that squeaks the most will cause you to do nothing but grease wheels and you will get no where.

now Marks, i want to let you know that i have appreciated many of your posts, but we are simply going to disagree here.

Black families were broken apart during slavery, over and over again so they never had a history of strong families.

i see no evidence of black lives matter promoting black superiority - none at all. White people like to claim that all lives matter, which is true, but misses the point. if you told your wife/gf "i love you", you might be hopeful that she responds with "i love you" in return; if she said, "we are called to love everyone", it would sound like a dismissal, even if it is true.

we have an entire race of people who are not living up to their potential and it is time that we come together to support them, rather than throwing up road blocks.

and yes, public education is failing. we need to take it seriously, rather than trying to destroy it.
Giving free money has worked so well to motivate the black community so far, eh? So let's give away more money we don't have to create more dependants, surely that must be a great idea!

Virtue signaling. Don't destroy my nice building or litigate against my organisation... See, I'm avocating socialism on your behalf. See, I'm on your side.
See, I believe white folk are all racist plantation owners and they owe you.
This politically correct woke BS is nothing but morally deficient cowards paying for protection.
Much like the folk who bang on the door of new Jerusalem saying. "Lord, Lord, let us in. See what we did for you etc etc etc". He didn't know them so they had the wrong Jesus. Trying to pay Jesus for protection to stay out of hell.
