Another Christmas over, and for what? More gifts given off a predetermined, approved list; (Gee, I hope you like what you told me to buy you!) more food eaten. Shoppers flocking to stores hours after claiming they are grateful for all they have. I say I will boycott it every year, but I still get suckered into the big Christmas whirlwind. Most of all I'm tired of hearing the regurgitated "Jesus is the reason for the season", as this cannot be further from the truth. Greed, gluttony, and self-satisfaction are all reasons for the season.
If Jesus is the reason for the season, let the season be the years of your life. Let the reason be, to spread his love through your actions and words. He is the reason we have life, faith, hope, and love.
