The word tells you that to receive the Light of the word you have to "spiritually discern" the word.
However.... there is this also... = When "rightly dividing the word"......there are a few non spiritual implementations that are key to allowing you to not misapply a verse's context.
Every broken theology, every deceived person and deceived denomination, is caused by Satan, or its caused by = wrongly dividing the word, or Both.
So, how to get it right???
NOTICE :
1.) Who is the verse talking to?
Is it only talking to the person in the verse ? The group? The Jews? The Gentiles? The Body of Christ?. Is it talking to Christ rejectors, or is it talking to those who have not yet believed, but are being shown the Cross so that they Might....?
2.) Read verses that came before your verse, as often they define the context of your verse.
3.) Is the verse happening before Jesus died, or AFTER He died, as that often changes everything, regarding literal context and spiritual application and dispensation.
4.) The bible is a circle of Light...
In other words, God created it so that you have to study it to get it right. What that means is, that you get Light from a verse in one epistle, then as you study more, God shows you a connecting Light that is in another epistle or psalm, or a Gospel..... And this continues to happen..... Light is here, then its over there, and it all layers and builds deeper revelation as God connects it like a theological bridge or foundation inside your "spiritual eyes = of your understanding".
