is hypocrisy not a sin ?

why are you excusing Peters sin when Paul confronted him ?

1 Peter 2
[1] Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
[2] As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

There's no such thing as a sinning Saint.

1 John 3
[7] Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
[8] He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
[9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Yet Peter was PRACTICING hypocrisies and caused Barnabas to stumble in the process.

So which is it can a believer be forgiven who practices sin like Peter ?

You cannot have your cake and eat it too....................

What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

The Saints of God do not commit willful sin; if they engage in ignorant sin, they repent when it comes to their attention. It's part of the sanctification process, growing in the grace of God. A sinner, however, takes up for his sin whether willful or ignorant. Oftentimes, they excuse themselves with the "no one is perfect" or "we are all sinners" excuse. These people don't know Jesus nor His ways.

Romans 6
[20] For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
[21] What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
[22] But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
[23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Well Peter was a saint and a sinner at the same time practicing the sin of hypocrisy. And it was willful sin which is what a hypocrite is as per Jesus teaching in Matthew 23 and numerous other places in the gospels.

When Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned.

Actually, the more accurate translation of that is that "he was to be blamed." (in the kjv).

In John 5:24 (kjv) we find that those who hear Jesus' words and believe in Him who sent Him shall not come into condemnation.

So then, your translation has translated it in a faulty manner.

Also, Peter was only to be blamed over the fact that he was not substantiating the gospel to the Gentiles that Paul was preaching. However, Paul himself, gave doctrine in Romans 14:1-Romans 15:1 and in 1 Corinthians 8, that Peter was justified in Galatians 2 for following. I contend that Peter was being obedient to these principles of scripture in that he was sensitive to the consciences of the Jewish people who had come into the situation.

Yes they are. Jeremiah, was sanctified before he was born a sinner Jer 1:5

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee;
and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee,
and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

That applies to all for whom Christ died Heb 10:10

By the which will we are sanctified[to make holy] through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

However they are still born sinners !
So are we all, as Christians, "prophet(s) unto the nations" as well? If so, would you care to share one of your recent prophecies? I got nothing. I must be lost.

In this case, "sanctified" does not mean "made holy." It means simply that Jeremiah was set apart as one who would fill the office of a prophet. It never ceases to amaze me the things people will accept when they flirt with false doctrine.

16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

You can do the same thing if you believe.

Timothy, Paul’s student suffered from severe stomach trouble.....Paul instructed him to drink a little wine to help his ailment.....poor guys, they had been baptized and everything — rumor even has it that their Faith was immense! Yet, between the Two of them, they just couldn’t muster -up the Faith to get a miraculous healing for Timothy....Paul raised a man from the dead once! So what’s “ up” with this? Maybe there was a certain time and place for Miraculous Healings....and it ain’t now.

No answer, huh?

No answer, huh?

What do priests have to do with the Scripture you quoted in Jeremiah 1?
All are sanctified to God's service as Jeremiah was by His Blood. When sinners Christ died for are born in they are holy set apart chosen vessels of the Lord even though they have yet to be born again

The Blood of Christ is so powerful that those for whom it is shed are Justified by it before God Rom 5:9

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Now faith receives the spiritual knowledge of this Justification and so they are also justified by faith, but justification by blood precedes faith Justification !

You wish!
we know as they have ceased, disappeared with the Apostles. the ones today we read about below:

Deuteronomy 13:1-3
“Suppose there are prophets among you or those who dream dreams about the future, and they promise you signs or miracles, 2 and if the sign or wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, “Let us follow other gods” (gods you have not known) “and let us worship them,” 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The Lord your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Matthew 24:23-27
Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man

Mark 13:22
For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12
Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

Revelation 13:13-14
He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who *had the wound of the sword and has come to life.

there are no miracle workers today as Jesus and the Apostles said, the ones that are come from the evil one as those passages declared. its deception.

God still heals but not by any person with a gift.

Gods method is to call for the ELDERS(PLURAL) in the church and they pray over the sick. James 5:14

next..................................
